Don Callis no longer serving as Impact Executive Vice President

Don Callis, who has severed as an Executive Vice President for Impact Wrestling for the past couple of years, is no longer in the role and is only an on-air talent now.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling said that Callis stepped down from his role last month. Scott D’Amore, who was promoted to EVP with Callis, remains in his role.

The 57-year-old has been pulling double duty appearing on both Impact and Dynamite with Kenny Omega as their storyline continues on both television shows. Callis helped Omega win the AEW World title in December from Jon Moxley and the two shocked the wrestling world by announcing the champ would explain his actions on Impact the following week, opening the “forbidden door.”

It is widely expected that Callis will join All Elite Wrestling full-time when his deal with Impact Wrestling expires. Callis is a close friend of both Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega so there’s no surprise in the move.
