Destination America rumored to be ready to drop the axe on TNA

The latest buzz going around today is that Destination America is ready to drop the axe on TNA come September with Discovery Communications opting out of the contract less than a year after TNA made its debut in January of this year.

While the final nail-in-the-coffin decision still has not been taken in full, the Observer says that Dixie Carter was notified about this decision last week and she has chosen not to address the situation when asked.

TNA’s Impact television show gets more ratings than anything else on the network for Destination America however the amount of money the company is pumping in TNA does not justify the return. Less than half a million viewers watch Impact every week.

Dropping TNA from its schedule would create a huge problem for the company as without a television outlet they will not survive, resulting in many losing their jobs unless they find an alternative.
