Anthem looking to move Impact tapings away from Orlando

PWInsider.com is reporting that Impact Wrestling is looking to move away from Universal Studios as its base for television tapings.

Hold tapings inside Universal Studios means that the company cannot charge for tickets as the studio they film in is part of the theme park, so anyone who is in the park for the day can attend the tapings for free.

PWInsider adds that New York, Chicago, and Toronto are all in contention for future Impact tapings. The company films around two to three months worth of tapings every time to cut on production costs.

Moving away from Universal in Orlando does not mean that Impact won’t return there for future shows. Several years ago, they did an experiment where tapings were held on the road before eventually they went back to Universal.
