Ace Austin is departing TNA Wrestling with his contract up. The news was revealed by Scott D’Amore in his latest column on Yahoo! Sports.
“Ace deciding to leave is amicable – he’s been there since he was barely out of his teens and he’s ready to step up,” D’Amore said. “I signed him, and everything he’s shown since confirmed that Ace Austin becoming a massive star is, indeed, ‘inevitable.'”
The 28-year-old has been part of TNA Wrestling since 2019 and for the past two years he has been part of the ABC tag team with Chris Bey. Unfortunately, a career-ending injury for Bey meant that Austin had to go solo.
He is a former three-time TNA Tag Team champion and three-time TNA X Division champion.
His last matched, taped on May 2 against Mustafa Ali, aired on last night’s episode of Impact. It’s unclear if he will be involved in tonight’s Under Siege show or the tapings the following day for a sendoff.
