Ziggler vs Ciampa headlines NXT on USA tonight

The 2022 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will begin tonight on NXT. After two weeks on SyFy, NXT returns on USA Network with today’s show.

The eight teams and bracket include Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray vs Lash Legend and Amari Miller, Ivy Nile and Tatum Paxley vs Kayden Carter and Kacy Catanzaro, Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta vs Wendy Choo and Dakota Kai, and Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez vs Yulisa Leon and Valentina Feroz.

While it was not announced which matches will air tonight, there are two other matches being advertised for the broadcast, including Tommaso Ciampa vs Dolph Ziggler in a number one contender’s match for the NXT title, and LA Knight vs Grayson Waller.

AJ Styles signs new, multi-year deal with WWE

Former WWE champion AJ Styles has signed a new, multi-year deal with WWE according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling.

The new “mega money” deal is apparently well over $3 million per year, making Styles one of the highest-paid WWE Superstars on the roster.

In a recent interview, the “Phenomenal One” said that he was happy being in WWE and it looks like he will be ending his illustrious career there.

Styles, who is now 44 years old, joined WWE in 2016 and won the WWE title twice, the Intercontinental title once, the United States title three times, and the Raw Tag Team titles once.

He is now rumored to be wrestling Edge at WrestleMania 38 in Dallas, Texas.

Lesnar to defend WWE title at MSG non-televised live event

Brock Lesnar’s road to WrestleMania will hit a tiny bit of a speed bump on March 5 as Paul Heyman informed his former client that he will have to defend the newly-won WWE title at the non-televised live event from Madison Square Garden in New York.

Heyman said that Lesnar will have to defend the title against Bobby Lashley and if Bobby Lashley does not pass the concussion protocol, he’ll find an opponent worthy of the world’s most famous arena.

Tickets for this show are available on Ticketmaster.com and following a rocky start, WWE is doing everything to get tickets moving.

Lashley, who was taken out of the Elimination Chamber match early without stepping foot inside the ring, is suffering from a serious shoulder injury and will be traveling to Birmingham, Alabama this week to get it checked out.

If surgery is required, Lashley will be out for several months before he’ll be able to return.

Edge issues open challenge for WrestleMania 38

Edge made his first WWE appearance since the Royal Rumble last night on Monday Night Raw and had an open challenge for WrestleMania.

Edge said he thought WrestleMania 27 was his last match and retired as the World Heavyweight champion immediately following that show and for 10 long years he worked hard to get back in the ring and last year was once again main eventing WrestleMania.

The Rated-R Superstar said that he needed WrestleMania, but WrestleMania needed him as well.

“You fight me at WrestleMania, and I’ll make you live forever,” Edge said. “So step up boys, I’ll be waiting.”

The intense interview was made even more awesome by the up-close frame of Edge’s face filling up the whole screen.

Drake Maverick re-hired, joins the WWE creative team

PWInsider.com is reporting that former 205 Live GM Drake Maverick has been hired again by WWE and is now working with the creative team on the Raw brand.

Maverick was fired twice by WWE, once in 2020 and last year as well but on both occasions he was hired back. In 2020, he put up an emotional video after he was released and that prompted Triple H to bring him back to NXT while after he was cut in November of last year, he put up a kick-ass video completely opposite of his first one that got him re-hired.

The British star came to WWE in 2017 from Impact Wrestling and is well-liked by many backstage. He famously used his real-life wedding to film skits for the 24/7 title chase.

Logan Paul to tag team with The Miz at WrestleMania

Logan Paul was unveiled as The Miz’s mystery partner in his feud against the Mysterios last night on Monday Night Raw.

The Miz milked the announcement, saying that his partner comes from a fighting family who is a pioneer and someone who’s very dashing. All those adjectives obviously could have been used on Cody Rhodes as well, especially since Cody had the gimmick of “dashing” when he was in WWE.

But with the troll level set to 100, The Miz introduced Logan Paul as his partner.

“Oh man, oh man, no disrespect Rey Mysterio, you’re a WWE legend but I have pool toys bigger than you,” Logan Paul said.

“If this jackass is going to be your partner at WrestleMania, we accept,” fired back Dominik.

The four then brawled but it was Miz and Paul who came out laughing, with Miz hitting the Skull Crushing Finale on Rey and Paul doing the exact same thing on Dominik.

Paul was part of WrestleMania last year and was involved in the Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn feud.

Nikki Bella on America’s Got Talent: Extreme starting from tonight

WWE Hall Of Famer Nikki Bella will be back on television from tonight as part of a judging panel on America’s Got Talent: Extreme.

The series premieres on NBC at 8PM ET and will have Simon Cowell, Travis Pastrana and Bella serving as judges while Terry Crews will host. This is a spinoff of America’s Got Talent popular series which focuses on stunt performances.

Filming of the show took place at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia and at the Irwindale Speedway in Irwindale, California. Production was temporarily suspended last year after a performer was hospitalized during one of the rehearsals.

Ring of Honor announces CM Punk as the final inductee into the 2022 HOF class

CM Punk was announced as the final inductee into the Ring of Honor Hall of Fame class of 2022.

Punk will be joining The Briscoes, Samoa Joe, and Bryan Danielson as the first class. The CM Punk Hall of Fame episode on ROH TV will air this weekend.

The former WWE champion, who now works for All Elite Wrestling, worked for ROH between 2002 and 2006 and made his debut for the promotion at the ROH All Star Extravaganza show on November 9, 2002. He is a former one-time ROH World champion and two-time ROH Tag Team champion with Colt Cabana.

Punk had some memorable matches in ROH including against Danielson, Joe, AJ Styles, and others.

Raw celebrates milestone 1,500th episode tonight

Monday Night Raw will hit another milestone episode tonight as it presents its 1,500th episode.

Raw is now in its 29th year of production, with the series starting in January 1993 on USA Network and apart from five years between September 2000 and October 2005 where the show was broadcast on TNN and Spike TV, Raw always aired on USA Network.

WWE is not advertising anything special for the broadcast tonight but they did upload a video on YouTube today which raised some eyebrows, a video conspicuously titled Shocking Raw Returns.

With several rumors of Cody Rhodes going to the WWE after his shock exit from All Elite Wrestling, the timing of the video will surely add fuel to the fire.

After two weeks on SyFy due to NBCU’s Winter Olympics coverage, Monday Night Raw is back on USA Network tonight starting at 8PM ET.

Brock Lesnar advertised for Raw tonight in Columbia, South Carolina

New WWE champion Brock Lesnar is being advertised for tonight’s Monday Night Raw live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

Brock is considered a “free agent” and appears on both brands but looking at other Raw television shows heading into WrestleMania, there are no other arenas advertising him and he will be part of the Smackdown shows heading into April.

This makes the most sense as Brock is in a feud with Roman Reigns who is also on Smackdown but that leaves Raw without a major men’s champion.

Brock is currently scheduled to appear on the February 25, March 11, March 25, and April 1 Smackdown shows on the road to WrestleMania although further appearances could be added.

How to make a training simulator using a linear actuator

Linear drives have become indispensable helpers in both production and daily life. They perform hundreds of operations to solve people’s routine tasks. Furthermore, you may use them and not even notice them. They will undoubtedly come in handy if you want to build something with your hands, including a training simulator.

Linear drives are an excellent choice when you need to tilt, lift, tension, or move different weights or objects. They come in different sizes and materials.

They are energy efficient, have a long service life, and require little or even no maintenance at all. You may find the most common modifications by the link, providing solutions that you may need for the construction of a training simulator.

What Can You Make With a Linear Actuator?

The linear drive is a device that converts rotational movements into a motion in a straight line. As a rule, one uses a direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC) electric motor to do that.

What are Different Types of Linear Actuators?

When smooth and precise motion is required, electric drives are preferred over other types of actuators. They are all interchangeable and can be customized based on the needs and application of the customer. The following are the most common types of linear actuators:

  • Parallel (straight inline). They are effective but slightly noisy;
  • 90-Degree. They are less efficient but quieter;
  • Build-in. They are appropriate for limited spaces and is noisy;
  • They are ideal for mechanical synchronization;
  • They are quiet, have a higher cost, are cost-effective, and more productive;
  • They move in a straight line without the use of an external pipe;
  • Electrical columns with adjustable height. They are widely used in industry, medicine, and ergonomic devices, such as a standing desk.

How to Select the Right Linear Actuator?

To select the best actuator, you must first determine the following parameters:

  • The load;
  • The speed;
  • Load coefficient;
  • Available free space;
  • Operation environment.

How to Make a Standing Desk Simulator Using a Linear Actuator?

Despite their numerous benefits, standing desks are still an expensive option for many customers. Before investing in an industrial desk, one should weigh all of the pros and cons and even try to build a training simulator on their own.

You are unlikely to make an adjustable table at the level of a store sample. However, even a handcrafted training simulator can help you appreciate all of it benefits.

Materials

You can build a table from scratch or with the help of semi-finished components. If you choose the second option, you will need:

  • A desktop;
  • Screws;
  • A screwdriver;
  • A standing desk frame powered by electricity (or mechanically);
  • A cable box;
  • Brackets;
  • Sockets;
  • A pencil;
  • A ruler;
  • A roulette;
  • An electric fret saw.

Procedure

After you have gathered all of the necessary tools, it is time to build your training simulator:

  • Prepare the desktop (if necessary, cover with finish);
  • Turn the tabletop over and determine the attachment points for the desk frame supports;
  • To ensure the table’s stability while in use, secure the frame to the desktop;
  • Add sockets and other accessories;
  • Turn the table. Check again that the table will not wobble while in use and can support your computer;
  • Check the adjustment function.

If you choose a training simulator with an automatic lift, it is preferable to put it close to power outlets. The best option is to put it near the wall, but not too close to it. Of course, such a workstation is appropriate not for everyone. That is why it is critical to evaluate how it works and how comfortable you are with it before buying an expensive standing desk.

Candice LaRae and Johnny Gargano welcome baby boy

Candice LaRae and former NXT champion Johnny Gargano welcomed a baby boy, born on February 17, who the couple named Quill.

The couple announced that they were expecting a baby back in August and due to her pregnancy, LaRae stopped all-ring action. In the meantime, her husband’s contract with WWE expired in December and he has since left the promotion.

LaRae is technically still under a WWE deal and it’s likely her contract will be extended to make up for the months she was out of action.

Candice and Johnny got married in September 2016 after years of dating.

The Undertaker makes surprise appearance at Bad Bunny concert

Soon to be WWE Hall Of Famer The Undertaker showed up at the Bad Bunny concert at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, and the crowd went absolutely nuts.

Bad Bunny, who was part of the Royal Rumble last month in St. Louis, was on top of his semi truck when all of a sudden American Bad Ass by Kid Rock started and out came The Undertaker on his motorcycle.

Taker rode in, saluted the crowd and Bad Bunny, took in the crowd’s noise, and then rode off with his hand up in the air.

“Bad Bunny concert or @WrestleMania,” tweeted the official account of the arena. “@undertaker just rode into AAC mid-song…which resulted in one of our favorite staredowns of all time.”

WWE will hold all WrestleMania-week shows at the ACC when they roll into town in late March.

Bobby Lashley suffering from shoulder injury, could be out for months

It looks like there was a reason why Bobby Lashley did not really have any in-ring action at the Elimination Chamber yesterday as news came out that the former champ has a shoulder injury that will probably require surgery. The news was broken by Kazeem Famuyide of the Ringer Wrestling Show podcast.

The injury happened at the Royal Rumble last month during the match against Brock Lesnar and while Lashley won the WWE title on that day, he has not wrestled since. At the Chamber, Lashley was taken out when Austin Theory was power bombed through his pod, crashing into Lashley. On the show they made it seem that Lashley hit his head and had to be taken out due to concussion protocol.

A new WWE champion was always going to be on the card as the company knew that Lashley could not wrestle at the Chamber.

PWInsider.com adds that Bobby is scheduled to take a trip to Birmingham, Alabama in the next week to visit Dr. James Andrews and get his shoulder checked.

Lashley is expected to miss out several months, including WrestleMania, if he needs to undergo surgery.

Both WWE and Universal titles on the line at WrestleMania 38

The champion vs champion match at WrestleMania 38 between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will also be title for title, meaning that whoever wins the match will be carrying both the WWE and Universal titles.

This was confirmed by WWE.COM yesterday in an update to the preview entry of their WrestleMania match. Originally, it was only Roman Reigns’ Universal title on the line but now Lesnar will also put up his WWE title up for grabs.

There’s no mention of titles unification so at least for the moment it does not look like they’re getting rid of a title, and if that happens, you can bet that the WWE title, with its illustrious lineage, would be the one staying put.

Lesnar winning the WWE title now leaves the Raw brand without a main champion as both Brock and Roman are part of the Smackdown roster. Having one title match also opens up the opportunity for one of the women’s title matches to headline night one of WrestleMania.

The most likely match to be closing night one is Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey for the Smackdown women’s title and if that happens it means that two Smackdown matches would be headlining the two-night WrestleMania.

All four women involved in the two title matches have headlined WrestleMania before, with Rousey, Lynch, and Flair headlining WrestleMania 35 and Belair main eventing WrestleMania 37 with Sasha Banks.

Kenny Omega still several weeks away from potential return

Former AEW champion Kenny Omega said that his plan to return by February is not looking that way anymore and he’s still weeks away from returning.

Talking on the Wrestling Observer Radio, Omega noted that there were no snags or complications but there was COVID-19 and waiting lists which caused him to miss appointments, pushing back his recovery and return to the ring.

Omega said that he is still waiting to get his hernia surgery done and that will take around six to eight weeks to heel and a return. Doctors advised him that he could return before but he’s opting for a complete recovery instead of coming back early and risk tearing it again, putting him back on the shelf.

Goldberg says Elimination Chamber was probably “his final mission”

Yesterday was the last time we could have potentially saw Bill Goldberg wrestling in a WWE ring.

The former champion admitted a few weeks prior that he only had one match left on his current WWE contract and rather than wait to WrestleMania, WWE pulled the trigger and had him face Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber.

In a video uploaded to his Instagram from the gym at his hotel in Jeddah, Goldberg said that this was “possibly my final mission in the wrestling world.”

He said after a long 13-hour flight, he was the first one in the gym and the second one was none other than Michael Cole, as he turned his camera around to show Cole training.

Goldberg noted that this is “a bittersweet trip” as it may be his last time there as a performer and hope that his hard work would pay off in the match.

Goldberg lost to Reigns after Reigns choked him out in the guillotine in the opening match of the show.

The Miz getting backup for his feud against the Mysterios

After losing to Rey Mysterio in the Kickoff show at the Elimination Chamber yesterday, The Miz said in a backstage interview that he was about to call someone to tag team with him to take down Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

PWInsider.com is reporting that the plan is for Miz to team up with Logan Paul to take on the Mysterios at WrestleMania.

Paul, who was heavily booed last year at WrestleMania, was on the receiving end of a Stunner after the match between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ended. Paul was part of the build up to the match and explained after the show that it was one of the best moments of his life to share the WWE ring at WrestleMania.

Paul has a big social media following, including 22 million just on Instagram and last year boxed Floyd Mayweather Jr in an exhibition match on pay-per-view.
