Triple H joins Shinsuke Nakamura in second and final night in Tokyo

WWE wrapped up the four-day event in the Far East today with one final show at the Sumo Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

While originally advertised only for one night, Triple H did end up wrestling on the second night of the Japan tour. On night one, he teamed up with The Club in an eight-man tag team match but today, Triple H joined Shinsuke Nakamura to take on Robert Roode and Samoa Joe.

This time around, Triple H let Nakamura do the honors and score the pin for the team after yesterday he got the win in the eight-man tag team match. Samoa Joe still ended up eating a Pedigree but it was Nakamura’s Kinshasa on Roode which sealed the win.

Gallows and Anderson got to wrestle twice, first defeating Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins to get an immediate title shot against The Revival but the former Club members lost in their second back-to-back match.

Asuka also pulled double duty, first wrestling in a triple threat match against Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss and then she joined Kairi Sane to take on The IIconics in a rematch from Friday.

WWE visited Singapore on Thursday before heading to Japan for the two shows on Friday and today.

More details on the Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff appointments

The recent appointment of Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as Executive Directors of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live respectively got good feedback from the majority fans and those in the industry alike.

While Heyman and Bischoff will head up creative for the two brands separately, Vince McMahon still has the final say on everything that goes and while both are expected to have a large amount of creative freedom, at this point it won’t be similar to what Triple H has with NXT where everything stops with him.

The two now also sit very high up in the chain in the corporate structure of WWE. Most high-level officials report directly to Vince McMahon while many others, when it comes to creative and talent, report to Triple H who is the Executive Vice President in charge of talent, creative, and live events. Heyman and Bischoff will be reporting directly to the top of the pyramid even though they are in charge of creative for Raw and Smackdown, a department which falls under Triple H’s portfolio.

Triple H welcomed back the two men back to the team with a Twitter post saying, “Two people who pushed our industry and @WWE forward over the last 25+ years. Great to have @HeymanHustle and @EBischoff working on #Raw and #SDLive. Welcome BACK to the team.” Heyman has been part of creative unofficially for a while, working with a select group of people only like Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.

While not addressing his appointment directly yet, Bischoff has been tweeting out thank you messages to those who wished him good luck after the news broke a few days ago. Bischoff also noted that his popular podcast with Conrad Thompson titled 83 Weeks will continue as scheduled, saying that “the show must go on.” 83 Weeks covers the Monday night war and the 83 weeks that WCW beat WWE in the ratings. Thompson works for All Elite Wrestling as well and is the man behind the Starrcast fan interactive event.

PWInsider.com also adds that WWE has been pursuing Heyman to join the team for a few months now and only recently they agreed to a deal. With Bischoff, the deal for him also came quite recent as he is now canceling appearances that he had agreed to over the next few months.

Jinder Mahal undergoes knee surgery and will be out for up to six months

Former WWE champion Jinder Mahal will be on the sidelines for the next four to six months after he underwent surgery for a ruptured patella tendon.

In a post on Instagram, Mahal wrote that he suffered the injury on June 15 during a live event against Ali in Denver, Colorado. He underwent surgery at the Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center under the care of Dr. Jeffrey Dugas, the surgeon who performs most of the surgeries on WWE Superstars.

“Happy to say surgery went well, and my knee was better than expected. This comeback is going to be legendary,” Mahal wrote in the social media post.

Mahal recently signed a new, five-year contract with WWE.

Kabuki Warriors earn WWE Women’s Tag Team title shot after win in Tokyo

The Kabuki Warriors – the team of former Smackdown Women’s champion Asuka and former NXT Women’s champion Kairi Sane – defeated the current WWE Women’s Tag Team champions in Tokyo today to earn a title shot.

The stipulation was set on Smackdown were it was announced that if Asuka and Sane win on Friday against The IIconics, they would get a future title shot. And the Japanese tag team did just that in front of their home crowd with Kairi Sane hitting the insane elbow finishing move on Peyton Royce for the win.

Asuka and Sane haven’t been used much on television lately ever since they were introduced as a tag team by former Smackdown General Manager Paige.

Triple H joins The Club in Tokyo, Japan for one night only

Tripe H returned to the ring today as he teamed up with The Club in Japan during a non-televised live event.

The Sumo Hall in Tokyo welcomed fan favorites AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows, the popular trio who were part of The Club during their stint in Japan. Triple H, who last wrestled in Saudi Arabia earlier this month, laced up his wrestling boots again to join them for an eight-man tag team match as they took on Samoa Joe, Bobby Lashley, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin.

As you probably expect, the faces came out on top with Triple H hitting the Pedigree on Baron Corbin and pinning him for the win. He wrote on Twitter that it was an amazing night in a city where he performed countless times with an incredible roster of WWE Superstars. “And if this was one of my last times to perform in Tokyo… it was #TooSweet!”

The show was main evented by Seth Rollins vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Universal title.

The Jon Moxley vs Joey Janela match at this Saturday’s Fyter Fest will be a “non-sanctioned” match according to All Elite Wrestling.

In an updated posted today by the company, it said that “due to both competitors’ propensity for violence and the statements coming from both camps, AEW has decided to strip this match of all rules. This is a non-sanctioned match.”

This will be Moxley’s first match for All Elite Wrestling after he made his debut at Double or Nothing in Las Vegas last month.

Fyter Fest, the second event under the AEW banner, will air this coming Saturday for free on B/R Live in North America and $9.99 for those overseas on FITE.TV. It will take place at The Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Package thieves steal replica WWE titles belonging to sick 5-year-old boy…and then return them

A five-year-old autistic boy who needs to have surgery to remove a dangerous brain tumor had a disappointing few days when two women were caught on camera stealing two boxes that contained his replica WWE title belts.

The belts were sent to artist Sergio Moriera for customization for the young boy Timmy. While Moriera was at Monday Night Raw this week, his received a notification that his doorbell motion camera was activated and saw the two thieves taking away the boxes. Moreira had agreed to do the work for free when he heard the story of the boy.

“I want them to know they took hope from a 5-year-old boy who is looking forward to that item coming back to him,” he told KIRO 7 local news. “You stole that from him. You broke a child’s heart.”

Moreira was willing to buy new belts for the kid from his own pocket and do what he promised before good news came in. The Edgewood Police Department, in a post on Facebook, provided an update on the case and said that the two suspects did the right thing and returned the stolen belts to Moreira’s residence along with an apology asking for forgiveness.

The case received quite a bit of media attention and it looks like when the suspects realized the items were of a sick 5-year-old, they had a change of heart.

“We are so sorry for taking your stuff. Never in a million years would I have expected I would have stolen from a sick five year old… I am ashamed of what I did,” the note said.

Edgewood PD still aren’t happy though and are asking for the community to spill the beans on the identity of the two thieves.

7 Reasons to Become an Emergency Medical Services officer

This is a sponsored post.

Everybody needs a hero, and we all have different definitions of what a hero should be. EMS, or Emergency Medical Services, is most known to be associated with an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician). EMTs work ambulance service and they save lives – making them heroes to many.

If you’ve been considering careers and you want to do something that helps people look into joining EMS. Working in emergency medical services can be a very fulfilling career. You can touch lives on many levels. If you have any interest in the medical field, but you don’t want to pursue years of training for being a doctor, I hope you will consider the option of entering the EMS field.

We’re going to dig deep and share with you all of the best reasons you should consider becoming an emergency medical services officer. Doctors are very special people that can come from any type of background but don’t overlook the fact that EMS officers can do big things from any background as well.

1. You Get in on the Action

The life of an EMS officer is rarely dull. It’s exciting and the adrenaline flows. EMS workers get a front-row seat to traumatic action and they play a very big role in quick, urgent medical needs. EMS personnel are the first on the scene and without their assistance and quick responses, many lives are saved and many injuries are lessened.

It’s certainly not all about the action, and the action here can many times be frustrating and hard to bear. You will most likely be subjected to many heartbreaking scenarios, but you have the opportunity to make a difference in times it matters most.

2. A Free Education Well-Earned

Truth be told, these public service personnel rarely get enough credit for what they do. EMS personnel endure long, hard hours of hard work and rarely get thanks. Most of these officers do not do it for the thanks, but the fact remains that it can be a very thankless line of work.

Becoming a paramedic or EMS officer of any sort does require training and specific schooling, but all of those expenses are reimbursed due to the public service position. No need to worry about the mounds of student loans and school debt when you finish, that financial aspect will be taken care of.

3. The Learning Potential is Indefinite

You will be coming across new scenes regularly, you will find new scenarios you have to work through, and technology is constantly adapting. This field constantly changes and adapts around you, helping you learn and grow continuously.

Aside from on the job training and adaptation, the field offers extensive training opportunities as they want to prepare you to the best of their abilities for any type of skill that you may need. They certainly want you to be able to handle those abstract situations without panic.

4. Steady Reasonable Income

EMS professionals make a genuinely decent income, compared to many other service fields. The average pay of EMTs throughout the United States is slightly over $20 an hour. You work hard, but you make good wages. The industries that pay this type of wage on average are few and far between.

This is a stable and reliable career path that you can stick with from your early career days clear through retirement and you will earn well throughout your career.

5. A Chance to Serve

As an EMS officer, you spend an exorbitant amount of time serving others. As we mentioned earlier, this can be a very thankless job at times. Your satisfaction can be found from the work you are doing and the impact you are able to have on other lives.

EMS Professionals have a rewarding career in that they touch many people in many different ways. The opportunities to help others are endless. There will be days you might feel defeated. There will be days you will be downcast. Then there will be days that you see someone’s smile or you save someone’s life and you will feel that joy of having helped a person or people who desperately needed your help.

Don’t let the idea that not all days will be filled with awe and not all days will feel accomplished through helping others halt you from considering EMS work. The beauty lies in the unexpected, but just know that you give it your all and do the best you can do and that is making a difference even when you don’t see it.

6. A Uniform Family

You become connected to those you work with because you spend long days with them and you’re working side-by-side, many times through intense experiences. Your fellow EMS workers become a 2nd family to you. You have each other’s backs on and off the job.

Another twist to this point is you won’t have to worry about what you’re going to wear to work or whether you need to dress to impress. EMS officers typically have a uniform that includes cargo type pants, polo shirts, and standard EMS boots. It is very common for these uniforms to be made for comfort and convenience on the job. No need to spend tons of money shopping on that work wardrobe, it’s determined for you!

7. Emergency Medical Services Professions are Right for Life

You can start training towards an EMS profession at the age of 16 and can officially begin your career at 18. This is one of the few careers with specialized schooling and training that you can jump into at such a young age.

You can retain the career for life, and through retirement options and fair wages, you can work hard, save comfortably, and someday retire comfortably as well.

In Conclusion

Emergency Medical Service careers are not for everyone. They take a lot of hard work and determination to be successful. Becoming an officer in this field can ultimately be well worth it if it is right for you. Choose today to become someone’s hero.

Eric Bischoff back in an executive role for the first time since 2012

For the first time since 2012, Eric Bischoff is back working in an executive role with a major wrestling promotion.

The former WCW President was last involved with TNA in 2012 as an Executive Producer as well as an on-screen character. This time around, the position is more important where he will be reporting directly to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and as things stand, the role will not include on-camera appearances.

As the new Executive Director of Smackdown Live, Eric Bischoff will oversee the creative development of the television show during a very important transition period. In just four months, Smackdown makes a gigantic move from USA Network to FOX and he will be in charge of dealing and working directly with executives from FOX as they will be the ones producing Smackdown once the move is done. Bischoff has plenty of experience dealing with network executives from his WCW days.

Bischoff originally shocked the wrestling world when he joined WWE in 2002 as the new Raw General Manager, a role which lasted five years. His previous run had no other responsibilities apart from being an on-air character, certainly a different one from the new role where he will have authority and power backstage.

Eric has yet to publicly comment on his new assignment apart from retweeting stories published by WWE and Sports Illustrated.

WWE names Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff as Executive Directors of Raw and Smackdown Live

In a bid to turn around low attendance and struggling ratings, WWE today announced Paul Heyman as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw and Eric Bischoff as Executive Director of Smackdown Live.

In these newly-created positions, both Heyman and Bischoff will report directly to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.

In their executive roles, Heyman and Bischoff will oversee the creative development of WWE’s flagship programming and ensure integration across all platforms and lines of business. The creation of these roles further establishes WWE’s ability to continuously reinvent its global brand while providing two distinct creative processes for its flagship shows.

Both Heyman and Bischoff were big rivals during the 90s but eventually learned to work together when they both joined WWE. The two ran ECW and WCW respectively and both had on-screen roles with WWE.

Kenny Omega’s angry tweet directed at EVOLVE and WWE backfires

AEW EVP Kenny Omega wrote, and later deleted, an angry tweet at WWE and EVOLVE for scheduling the EVOLVE 10th year anniversary event on the WWE Network on the same day there is Fight for the Fallen.

“If lining your pockets with blood money is okay, then what’s wrong with trying to undermine a charity show for victims of gun violence?” Omega said.

The tweet was obviously aimed at EVOLVE’s management for accepting WWE’s offer to be on the Network. The blood money reference is due to WWE getting paid by Saudi Arabia. “I hear that healthy competition is supposed to be a good thing and yet I can’t help but feel like I’m gonna be sick,” he continued in the same tweet.

But the angry outburst backfired on the former IWGP Heavyweight champion and he was met with several criticism for his choice of words. Omega eventually deleted the tweet and later issued a clarification.

“I’ve said my piece and it opened the door to a very toxic environment. It wasn’t a message to fans, or the boys, just the decision makers. I wish everyone wrestling on any show that day all the best. That is all,” he concluded.

EVOLVE’s 10th year anniversary show to air live on the WWE Network on July 13

WWE Network is set to air the first-ever pro wrestling show which is not owned by the company as EVOLVE’s 10th anniversary celebration will be airing live on July 13. The news was exclusively reported by TheWrap.com earlier today.

EVOLVE alumni and current WWE Superstars Adam Cole and Akira Tozawa will both be on the show as they wrestle each other for the NXT title. Matt Riddle, also a former EVOLVE fan favorite, will be taking on WWE Cruiserweight champion Drew Gulak in a non-title match.

“Evolve was the birthplace for many current WWE and NXT Superstars so it is only fitting that their 10th Anniversary Celebration will be showcased live on WWE Network,” Paul “Triple H” Levesque, WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events & Creative, told TheWrap.

EVOLVE 131 takes place at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the WWE Network live stream starts at 8PM ET, on the same date and time as AEW’s Fight for the Fallen Event.

WWE and EVOLVE have enjoyed a working relationship for the past four years, a project spearheaded by Triple H and ‎Gabe Sapolsky‎.

Smackdown rating for 06/25/2019

Smackdown this week drew 1,921,000 viewers, up 36,000 viewers from last week’s broadcast. It’s the third week in a row that the show failed to pass the two million viewer mark. Return of The Bar at WWE SummerSlam Heatwave tour?

The WWE LIVE SummerSlam Heatwave Tour is coming like a bat out of hell directly for our screens, and arenas around the nation and the action is only getting better.

As you know, top the best sportsbooks will have odds on SummerSlam and other highlighted matches!

Sunday, June 30th, Monroe, Louisiana

Even though the SummerSlam Heatwave Tour travels across the country rapidly, WWE isn’t skimping on star-power. This coming Saturday’s event in Monroe, A.J Styles, Randy Orton, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Samoa Joe, The Usos, The Bar, Nakamura, and Rusev. Are all on the Marquee.

One of the most interesting aspects is The Bar. They are currently listed as on hiatus after being broken up with Cesaro’s previous move to RAW without his partner, Sheamus. Then back in May, Cesaro confirmed that The Bar is done. So is this truly the return of record-setting duo?

With four Raw Tag Team titles and a SmackDown Live title as well, there is no more powerful tag team since The Bar’s inception back in 2016. But can they beat the Uso brothers, Jimmy and Jey?

The Usos are coming off a big win in the Eight-Man Elimination Tag Team Match on Raw. They joined forces with The New Day to smash their way through Daniel Bryan, Rowan, and The Revival. It looked bad when Jimmy got super-plexed off the top rope, but Jay Super-Manned from the opposite buckle to slam into a prone Dash Wilder and roll him back for the three-count.

Will Sheamus and Cesaro be coordinated after so much time apart? Or will they come back with a vengeance to make a point that they never should have been unjustly separated between SmackDown and Raw?

Lynch vs. Flair?

Information on the Monroe Louisiana event is hard to come by. We can only guess that Charlotte Flair will be looking to get some revenge against Becky Lynch for here May, Tag Team loss at the hands of a back-sneaking Bayley.

It’s been a bitter rivalry, and with the WWE promoting Becky Lynch and Rhonda Rousey for Wrestle Mania 36, can they really throw a Charlotte Flair victory in the storyline? We should expect Becky Lynch to get the official victory if she does in fact, face Charlotte Flair, but have some sort of conniving actions on the part of Flair that steal the show and perpetuate the drama between the two female superstars.

Sheamus is also scheduled to appear at the June 27th date in Boston. So perhaps this reunion with Cesaro is in fact, legit. Fans will also reportedly see John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Kane, Bad News Barret, at TD Garden in Boston.

But these are just a couple of the first SummerSlam Heatwave Tour events. There are a ton of tour dates, loaded with our favorite WWE athletes going all the way into August! So get out your ice-cold lemonade, because the Summer Heatwave is here … WWE style!

Jinder Mahal signs new five-year deal with WWE

ProWrestlingSheet.com is reporting that former WWE champion Jinder Mahal signed a new WWE deal that will keep him with the company for the next five years.

Mahal had a fantastic 2017, becoming the first-ever WWE champion of Indian descent, keeping it for six months before losing it to AJ Styles in Manchester, England during Smackdown tapings.

Mahal joins Mojo Rawley, Mike and Maria in re-signing with the company over the past couple of weeks. With All Elite Wrestling ready to pounce on talent, WWE is doing their best to keep its Superstars under contract and extend deals to those which are close to running out.

The next big test is trying to keep The Revival and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, all of whom will have contracts expiring in the next couple of months.

WWE Superstars off to Singapore and Tokyo for short tour

WWE Superstars boarded a plane to the Far East yesterday after Smackdown went off the air for a four-day, three-event tour.

The first show will be held tomorrow in Singapore at the Singapore Indoor Stadium where the show will be headlined by WWE Universal champion Seth Rollins taking on Shinsuke Nakamura.

The other two shows, on Friday and Saturday, will be at the Ryogoku Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Triple H is set to team up with The Club – AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson – to face Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley, and Samoa Joe for the Friday show. Triple H will not wrestle on the Saturday.

Kairi Sane and Asuka will also be making the trip and Sasha Banks is advertised on WWE.COM to be appearing but it’s highly unlikely that will happen unless something changed over the past few weeks.

Raw rating for 06/24/2019

Monday Night Raw drew an average of 2,275,000 for the post-Stomping Grounds episode, just a small increase of 40,000 viewers from last week’s broadcast. The usual post-PPV bump was not here this week which shows you how many people were interested in Sunday’s show.

Hour one drew 2,386,000 viewers, followed by 2,315,000 viewers in the second hour, and then down to 2,126,000 in the third and final hour.

Raw was #3, #4, and #5 in the top 50 cable chart among the 18-49 demographic and #5 in overall viewership for the night on cable. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

Movies starring WWE Superstars every wrestling fan should watch

Did you know that WWE stars are not only wrestlers? Wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels are also successful actors who took part in some of Hollywood’s major productions. Some of them starred in movies both before their WWE appearances and during the WWE seasons. Here is a list of five movies that every wrestling fan should know about.

#1 Spiderman – 2002

We can all agree that Spiderman is one of the best movies based on a comic book. The first Spiderman movie that came out in 2002 features a WWE wrestler known as Savage. He took the role of “Bonesaw” McGraw, a wrestler whom Peter Parker defeats using his new Spiderman powers. It is important to point out that Savage wasn’t involved in WWE during the production. However, the movie turned out to be a foundation for a massive franchise, and Savage played a significant role in it. For all the wrestling fans out there, this movie is definitely worth watching.

#2 They Live – 1988

The movie titled “They Live” from 1988 features a well-known WWE wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. In this movie, Piper took part in what became one of the best fight scenes in the history of film production. The movie itself has an interesting storyline that includes alien conspiracies and glasses with magical powers. To shed more light on what was going on, Piper’s character discovered that the elite society at the time were actually aliens. He used magic sunglasses that allowed him to see things others couldn’t. Of course, his fighting scenes made this movie as popular as it is.

#3 Ed Wood – 1994

Ed Wood from 1994 features WWE wrestler George “The Animal” Steele. Steele took a character who also spent time wrestling in the ring. The movie was based on a biography of a B-movie director set in the 1950s. Steele had a chance to work with no other than Johnny Depp on the production that became one of Tim Burton’s best movies. Ed Wood has an interesting plot and portrays the “art imitates life” technique, which makes it a movie worth watching.

#4 The Rundown – 2003

The Rundown movie from 2003 was one of those productions that made The Rock more successful in Hollywood than he ever was in wrestling. This fun action movie was set in the South American rainforest, which added a unique twist to its storyline. Thanks to this production, The Rock was considered to be the next Schwarzenegger, and it didn’t take long for him to achieve great success in the film industry. He was ranked as the highest paid actor in 2016 with many movies behind him.

#5 Guardians of The Galaxy – 2014

Last but not least, the newest movie on our list is Guardians of The Galaxy featuring none other than Batista. He took the role of Drax, also known as The Destroyer who had trouble understanding sarcasm. This added humor to Batista’s interpretation of the character, which is why he made an appearance in many highlights of the movie. Many will argue that the Guardians of The Galaxy is the best movie featuring a WWE star, but we will let you be the judge of that.

Secure Your Devices While Streaming Movies

This list has no doubt inspired you to enjoy a movie marathon featuring WWE wrestlers. But it is important to mention that not all of these will be available for streaming everywhere. Some streaming platforms block part of their content in certain countries. So if you want to enjoy unrestricted access to these and many more movies, make sure to get a VPN for streaming.

All you have to do is download a VPN app and run it while streaming movies. Investing in a VPN will bring along other benefits as well, including the ability to browse the internet anonymously and securing all of your network connections.

Conclusion

While there many movies that feature WWE stars, the five listed above are considered the most popular ones. If you’re a fan of WWE wrestling, you must not miss out on these amazing productions. Don’t forget to use a VPN to have a safe and smooth streaming experience. Make sure to invest in a reliable and paid VPN provider because free services can cause lags and slow internet connection speeds. After all, fast and stable internet connection is the most important thing if you want to watch movies online.
