Moxley vs Cage for AEW World title draws 844,000 viewers

The main event match between Jon Moxley and Brian Cage for the AEW World title pulled in 844,000 viewers, quite the change from the main events of Fyter Fest where both nights were crushed by NXT. The numbers were originally released by the Wrestling Observer.

The 844,000 viewers was the highest for both AEW and NXT on Wednesday night and that match pulled 407,000 viewers in 18-49. AEW’s main event competition on Wednesday was Io Shirai vs Tegan Nox for the NXT Women’s title which on its own did 652,000 viewers and 186,000 in the 18-49 demo. Last week, the winner-take-all match on NXT did 922,000 viewers.

The Moxley vs Cage match has been heavily pushed for the past several weeks and actually had to be moved a week due to COVID-19 precaution from Moxley’s part. The marketing for the match paid off big time for the promotion and despite competition from NASCAR and UFC, still managed to attract a fairly large audience.

Chris Jericho…the Demo God!

After tweeting several times about the ratings when AEW lost to NXT in viewers but won in the 18-49 demographic, Chris Jericho looks like he found his latest nickname – Demo God – continuing his impressive run of finding new ways to adapt, avoiding his character getting stale in the process.

The former AEW champion continued to play off the ratings war about how AEW smashed NXT this week and Le Champion seems like he will be known with his new Demo God name now.

Jericho even has a new t-shirt on ShopAEW.com sporting the nick name as the story goes that Jericho has never lost to NXT in any of his segments in the 18-49 demo.

Ironically enough, come November 9, Y2J will turn 50!

Bonus episode of Undertaker: The Last Ride to stream this Sunday on WWE Network

A bonus episode of Undertaker: The Last Ride will air on the WWE Network this Sunday.

Titled Tales From The Deadman, this bonus episode will take a look at “some incredible behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the man himself, as Undertaker recalls stories about the origins of his character, his experience on an infamous plane ride, and even that time he fought The Godfather over a hat, all accompanied by never-before-seen animation.”

This episode is narrated by Emmy-nominated actor and producer Timothy Olyphant.

Tales From The Deadman will air immediately following the conclusion of the Extreme Rules pay-per-view but will be available on demand during the day.

The bonus episode follows the highly-acclaimed five-part series that gave an unprecedented look at the man behind The Undertaker character. The series ended with The Undertaker announcing his retirement, saying he has no desire to get in the ring again.

Brock Lesnar not expected to be part of SummerSlam this year

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to be part of the SummerSlam pay-per-view this year making it the first SummerSlam Brock will not participate in since he returned to WWE.

The former WWE and Universal champion has main evented the last six SummerSlam shows in a row. He also main evented the 2012 event but not the 2013 one, which means Brock headlined seven out of the eight past SummerSlams.

Meltzer also noted that Paul Heyman has not been at any of the television tapings ever since he was removed from his Executive Director role of the Raw brand.

SummerSlam is scheduled to be taking place from the WWE Performance Center instead of Boston as the coronavirus pandemic continues to wreck havoc in the United States.

NXT rating for 07/15/2020

The bad news for WWE in the ratings continued this week with NXT sinking to 631,000 viewers, down 128,000 viewers from last week’s show. With a low 0.14 rating in the 18-49 demographic, NXT placed #49 in the top 50 chart.

The difference between the two shows this week was of 157,000 viewers, with AEW turning it around after they lost last week by 44,000 viewers. This was also the least-watched episode of NXT since May 20. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

Dynamite rating for 07/15/2020

AEW destroyed NXT in the ratings this week, getting a total of 788,000 viewers for Fight For The Fallen, an increase of 73,000 viewers from last week’s show. Dynamite did 0.29 in the 18-49 demographic and placed #5 in the top 50 cable chart, pretty much beating NXT bad in every category except for one. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)

Tokyo Sports says Kairi Sane will be gone from WWE this Summer

The rumors of Kairi Sane leaving WWE soon continue to heat up as Tokyo Sports is the latest outlet to cover the story, saying that Sane looks like she will be leaving the United States to return to her homeland of Japan by Summer.

Tokyo Sports reports that a clearer picture of what the plan is and an announcement should be made in time for the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view, which could be her very last one for the company.

The publication also states that while Sane will indeed leave WWE, the relationship between the two parties will probably continue and rumors are that she will be involved with the work that WWE will do in Japan. There were plans to create NXT Japan and a new Performance Center there but the coronavirus put future WWE ventures on hold.

Sane has been with WWE since 2017 but has made it clear that she wants to return home to spend the rest of her life with her husband. Sane got married earlier this year in Japan.

Cody talks ratings battle with NXT and why he won’t tweet about ratings

Over the past three weeks when AEW lost in the ratings in total viewers against NXT, both Chris Jericho and AEW President Tony Khan took it to Twitter to remind fans that they won the important 18-49 demographic so in reality, they didn’t really lose.

It was a move that is rarely seen, if ever, in the business. Vince McMahon or Triple H don’t tweet about ratings when they lose and they certainly don’t see the need to justify any numbers to Internet wrestling fans.

One person from AEW who you won’t find tweeting about numbers is Cody. The AEW EVP appreciates the numbers, but he won’t be tweeting about them anytime soon. “It’s really easy to get caught up in the weeds with like ‘for X amount of weeks we beat WWE in the ratings’ or get into this wild demo discussion – if you ever catch me tweeting about the demos, please just delete my account,” Cody said in an interview with TalkSport in the UK.

Cody is more focused on putting on the best show every week and leaving the numbers to others, although he said he respects everyone that keeps bringing them up. “People spam me and the management core. Showbuzz Daily, they make the top 50. We don’t make the lists. So, if we’re ahead of your favorite or your favorite shows, spam them! [laughs]. I don’t know what to tell you!”

Cody said that at the end of the day, it’s all about making the show better every week and the goal is to have “the absolute best wrestling show we can possibly have with a disciplined and non-hot shot approach.”

The TNT champion praised his fellow wrestlers and staff, who keep rising to the occasion every week and said that his focus is not to get caught up in all the numbers and creatively and as a competitor, all it matters is to put on the best show, a show that people will talk about and creates memories.

“Thursday is the day all that data comes down and you look at everything. Minute-by-minute, did someone tune out here? You have to ask yourself, why did they tune out? Is it an anomaly? Is it a pattern? Again, we have great people flanking us who put this all in black and white on a grid for us so that we can be accountable. if you’re not drawing viewers, you have to at least address the problem,” Cody said.

The history of the WWE Hell In A Cell

WWE Hell in a Cell is a pay-per-view event that is scheduled annually in October. As named, the event is based around the famous Hell in a Cell match, which is featured on the card. There are a number of matches that are held in the event, as it usually goes on for a duration of three hours, however the flagship match is only featured on very few occasions to keep fans waiting with anticipation for the main event.

The WWE Hell in a Cell PPV is one of the newest to have been formed on the WWE card, with it having been started in 2009, however the style of match that it has been named after has been around for a lot longer, with the first match having appeared in 1997.

What is the Hell in a Cell match?

Hell in a Cell is known as a ‘demonic structure’ by many in the WWE Universe, as it is an exaggerated take on the Steel Cage that has been used in so many of the matches that generally take place throughout the year. The structure, which is made of metal, stands at around 20ft high and keeps competitors caged inside the ring. These particular matches can take their toll on the professional superstars’ bodies, as there are no disqualifications and no count-outs, leading to victory only being obtained by pinfall or submission.

Both Jim Cornette and Vince Russo have claimed to be the brain behind Hell in a Cell, however, WWE credits the ‘Last Battle of Atlanta’ match between Tommy Rich and Buzz Sawyer to be the source.

When is the 2020 event scheduled to take place?

WWE Hell in a Cell 2020 is expected to be held in the first week of October, although there has been no official word as to how the PPV will operate, in regards to the actual date, the venue that will be used or the timings. When it does happen, though, fans will be able to go to USA sportsbooks and place bets on who they think will win each contest.

Memorable matches to have involved Hell in a Cell?

Another memorable match to have taken place with the Hell in a Cell format being used include the Undertaker’s iconic battle with Mankind at King of the Ring in 1998. The Undertaker threw Mankind off the top of the cage into the announce tables at ringside, before Mankind climbed back up to the top and subsequently through the roof of the structure. It is one of the matches that many will immediately associate with the format.

The style of match is one where the Deadman competes regularly and produces some epic encounters, with the likes of Brock Lesnar, Edge and even Triple H having gone up against the Phenom, with their match at WrestleMania XXVIII (2012) one of the best contests witnessed at the spectacle.

What happened in last year’s Hell in a Cell PPV?

Last year’s PPV saw a number of matches take place, with a number of the WWE’s top prizes all up for grabs; from the Universal Championship to every single Women’s division belt being on the line.

Seth Rollins (champion) vs ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt was perhaps the bout of the night as the two produced a classic match-up in the squared circle, resulting in a no-contest, whilst Charlotte Flair recaptured the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Bayley.

Becky Lynch retained her RAW Women’s Championship title against Sasha Banks in the Hell in a Cell structure in what would become an epic encounter.

Is AEW reviving the iconic Four Horsemen faction?

AEW is hinting big time at the revival of one of the most popular factions in professional wrestling history: The Four Horsemen.

Over the past several weeks, and more so yesterday than before, there were hints about it on television, hints which included Cody, Shawn Spears, and FTR.

Last night on Fight For The Fallen, Tully Blanchard was seen “scouting” Cody and FTR during their matches and these individuals have been flashing the iconic “4” hand sign lately.

The Four Horsemen group was originally introduced in 1985 with original members Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Ole Anderson, and Tully Blanchard. During the years, the members changed with Flair being the only constant during the several incarnations.

AEW obviously has two original members on their payroll with Blanchard – who was part of the faction from 1985 to 1988 – and Arn Anderson – who was part of the Horsemen from 1985 to 1988, 1989 to 1991, and 1993 to 1999.

Speaking with TalkSport, Cody said that “no one” has planted those seeds although maybe a few “baby seeds” have grown into this speculation. “I don’t think you can ever do the Four Horseman…that’s ambitious, braggadocios and, very likely, you’d have the most uphill battle ever,” Cody said.

“I think in this case, I love flirting with some of the concepts that were out there because my dad and my family was always the antithesis of the Four Horseman,” he said. “Their biggest rival was my father. And now, one of his biggest rivals is genuinely one of my closest confidants and coaches and it’s really a different career than I had envisioned. But I love having Double A there and I know Arn has had some conversations with Tony Khan and FTR and I know Spears has had some conversations with FTR.”

It’s unclear if AEW would be able to use the actual Four Horsemen name although there does not seem to be a trademark application for the name associated with professional wrestling.

Tegan Nox discusses coming out with Newsweek

In comments given to Newsweek ahead of the NXT main event yesterday against Io Shirai, Tegan Nox explained why she decided to come out, acknowledging that her life has always been a “don’t ask, don’t tell” situation, but now it was the right time.

“I felt like it was the right time, especially when you’ve found the right one you’re in love with. It was the right time to do that,” Nox said.

Nox added that the reaction has been great, although there were some people who didn’t agree, but noted that 99% of the reactions were positive.

“I’ve got texts coming through from so many colleagues and friends. It was nice. It’s great to see that there are so many nice people in the world,” Nox said.

The Welsh WWE Superstar also credited Sonya Deville with helping her. Deville was the first openly-gay female performer in the company.

“She was a big, big help. She gave me her phone number and told me to text her if I needed anything. So we keep in contact quite a lot about it. She’s a massive help with the fans, because my family knew but my fans didn’t. So she helped me bring it out to the public,” Nox concluded.

Vickie Guerrero joins AEW as Nyla Rose’s manager

Vickie Guerrero has officially joined All Elite Wrestling and was unveiled as Nyla Rose’s new manager last night during Fight For The Fallen.

It was Rose who introduced Vickie during an in-ring segment and Guerrero then delivered a promo, warning all the women in the division that when they decide to go after the AEW Women’s title, no one will stop them.

“I’M BACK…BETTER THAN EVER,” Guerrero wrote on Twitter. “Ready for @NylaRoseBeast and myself to start taking names and clearing the women’s locker room.”

Guerrero, the former WWE Smackdown and Raw General Manager, finds herself back on television after she left WWE to pursue another career. She had previously appeared on AEW television a couple of times and noted how WWE were not happy about it, eventually stopping her from getting any more WWE Superstars as guests on her podcast.

Fight For The Fallen 2020 betting odds

AEW’s Fight for the Fallen will take place tonight from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. Four matches have been announced and Unibet has betting odds for all the matches on the card.

The following odds are for the match winner and they might change later on in the day. If you are more interested in mixed martial arts betting, then check out these MMA tips!

In the AEW World title match, Jon Moxley is the overwhelming favorite to retain the AEW title with odds listed at 2/13. His challenger, Brian Cage, is listed at 7/2. Cage’s FTW title is not on the line tonight and only Moxley’s title is up for grabs.

In a six-man tag team match, Kenny Omega will be teaming up with Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks to take on Jurassic Express, the team of Luchasaurus, Marko Stunt, and Jungle Boy. The Elite is, much to no surprise, the clear favorites with odds of 1/14 while Jurassic Express are 11/2 for the big upset.

In another highly anticipated match, FTR will be taking on Pentagon Jr and Rey Fenix of the Lucha Brothers. The former WWE tag champions are 1/10 favorites against the masked luchadores who are at 5/1.

And in the remaining match which is publicly announced, Cody will defend the TNT championship against Sonny Kiss. This looks like a no-brainer from the bookies’ perspective as Cody has 1/40 odds of winning while Sonny Kiss is at 8/1. Just to put that in clearer picture, betting $1 on Cody will return you $1.03 while betting $1 on Kiss will get you a whopping $9.

Unibet is also providing two other odds. Titled Favorites Fest, there’s odds of 1/2 for Moxley, The Elite, FTR, and Cody all winning their matches while odds of 7/5 if one of them fails. You will lose this bet if any of the heels win their match.

There’s also a match prop bet where you can bet on which wrestler will be involved in a match decision (win or lose) for the respective team. Involvement in match decision is based on the participant being the author of the winning pinfall/submission or attributed as conceding the defeat.

This bet is only offered for the six-man tag team match and Kenny Omega has odds of 13/10, Matt or Nick Jackson odds of 13/25, Marko Stunt at 3/4, Jungle Boy at 13/10, and Luchasaurus at 2/1.

Looking back on the legacy of wrestling champions of the past

World Wrestling Entertainment is the biggest professional wrestling entertainment around the globe. It was originally founded in 1952, and it was first named as the Capitol Wrestling Corporation(CWF). Then, it became the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF), World Wrestling Federation, and today, it’s officially known as WWE.

It’s been many years of entertainment to millions of wrestling fans out there. Many people were able to establish their names in the wrestling world and be part of the prestigious wrestling history. However, today’s generation’s famous wrestlers might have outshined the most popular wrestlers in the past decades.

Over the years, you might have forgotten the names of the wrestling champions who reached their pinnacle a few decades ago.  Here’s a list of the past wrestling champions that you might remember who left a mark in the history of a wrestling ring.

Mark Lewin

Mark Lewin was born on March 16, 1937, in Buffalo, New York. He reigned as a professional wrestler from the 1950’s to the 1990’s. He won in the Georgia Championship Wrestling, Championship Wrestling from Florida, and even succeeded in different territories of the National Wrestling Alliance.

Some people in the wrestling industry often help one another for the greater good. Mark Lewin and Don Curtis were colleagues, and they were both native residents of Buffalo, New York. Their tandem worked out, and they enjoyed the success of their career as they won different competitions together.

Mark Lewin and Don Curtis joined many promotions, and they even won the WWF United States Tag Team Championship twice. The two eventually gained popularity from the wrestling enthusiasts. The successful tandem of these two professional wrestlers lasted for five years, started in 1958, and ended in 1963.

Antonio Rocca

Based on the information he provided when he filled out the Social Security application in 1953, Antonio Rocca was born on April 13, 1921, in Treviso, Italy. Some people may assert different information about Rocca’s date of birth. However, he processed the application with this information signed as factual and accurate.

His real name was Antonio Biasetton and was legally changed to Antonio Rocca. People call him Argentine, Argentina, or The Television Kid. Also, Antonio was born with a twin sister. When he was still a teenager, he was physically active in sports like rugby, soccer, and swimming.

Antonio’s wrestling career gained more success when Fred Kohler, a wrestling promoter in Chicago, introduced him to America. His match with Gene Stanlee broke the record because it was the event that had the largest number of attendees in twenty years. Antonio became an instant star and was considered a legend in the northeast part of the United States of America.

Antonio matched with different well-known wrestlers and won various competitions during his successful wrestling career for many years. The time came when he got sick and suffered from a urinary infection. He didn’t make it and died in 1977 at the age of 53.

Don Curtis

Don Curtis has the birth name of Donald Beitelman and was born on May 22, 1927 in Buffalo, New York. In the year 1951, Curtis finally decided to enter the world of professional wrestling. He then explored the inception of his career in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada.

Curtis was a member of a famous tag team and won the NWA United States Tag Team Championship twice in 1958 with his colleague Mark Lewin. In 1962, he went to Florida and won the Florida version of the NWA World Tag Team Championship with his new partner Joe Scarpa. Then, the rest of his winnings was history.

In the year 1980, he joined the U.B. Athletic Hall of Fame in wrestling and football. In the same year, he also started to manage the Jacksonville Coliseum. These were the events of his life after his career in the wrestling ring. He then became part of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum under the tag team’s category with Lewin.

When he retired from his wrestling career, he worked for a real estate company. He continued his life outside the ring and enjoyed whatever he was doing. Until one day, he got a massive stroke and damaged the left part of his brain in 2008. He fought his life for a couple of days in the Mayo Clinic Hospice facility. However, he still lost his life on March 6 of 2008, at the age of 80 years old.

Bobo Brazil

Bobo Brazil was born in Michigan on July 10, 1924. He is one of the African-American wrestlers who changed the perception of people towards skin color. His birth name is Houston Harris, and people called him The South American Giant.

Brazil traveled to many countries to showcase the skills of his chosen craft, providing entertainment to his millions of wrestling enthusiasts and supporters. Before he became a professional wrestler, he was once an amazing baseball player. He also loved to sit in a crowd while watching wrestling matches for leisure.

The life of Brazil changed when he met Joe Savoldi, a wrestling coach who spent so much time training him to become a professional wrestler. After the training, he competed with many championships and won. Many people today who love visiting betmaster and other betting sites think of betting Brazil and other golden era champions to for a sure win.

He spent years of exposure and gained many winnings in different wrestling matches. Then, he became an inspiration and a door opener to many wrestlers who experience racial prejudices due to skin color.

The wrestling career of Brazil didn’t just change his entire life after he achieved his dreams. He also left a remarkable record in the whole history of wrestling. He was able to influence everyone to be outspoken and courageous to fight for their right against social prejudices. Brazil’s legacy in wrestling will never be forgotten even after he died in 1998.

Charles J. Kalani Jr.

Charles Kalani Jr. is famous under the name of Professor Toru Tanaka. He was born in Hawaii on January 6, 1930. He met his wife, Doris, in 1952 at the University of Utah. They got married in the following year and had three children. Unfortunately, they got divorced in 1987.

In 1955, Kalani joined the US Army until 1966. One year after his army service, he became a professional wrestler. Then, people started calling him Professor Toru Tanaka as his stage name. He won a lot of tag team championships in many years, teaming up with other wrestlers.

Aside from being one of the prominent wrestlers, Kalani became a film actor. He has many movies that significantly left a mark in the film industry as a Professor Toru Tanaka. It includes the Perfect Weapon, Running Man and Last Action Hero, The A-Team, and other films Tanaka made in his time.

His legacy as a wrestler and an actor will never be forgotten to his millions of diehard fans. As Kalani aged over the years, he acquired heart illness and died in 2000 in California.

Takeaway

World Wrestling Entertainment continues to be successful in the entertainment industry. The number of people who take part in success continues to rise in this era. Hence, you tend to hardly remember the famous wrestlers from the previous decades who were the pioneers of wrestling entertainment.

As you support the new set of wrestling champions of this generation, try to look back and remember the legacy contributed by the wrestlers in the past.

The Miz gets roasted big time by fellow Superstars after losing UpUpDownDown championship match

After beating The Miz in the UpUpDownDown championship match, Tyler Breeze cut a hilarious promo which ended with a zinger that left all the other WWE Superstars on the call laughing in stitches.

“I am the best ever. Miz, you got a reality show but you suck man, you suck! You take all your VHS movies and you shove ’em in your big fat mouth because you never shut up except for right now because you have nothing to say,” Breeze yelled. “You got some more of this, Miz? Cash me outside! Cash me outside how about that!”

Joining the broadcast apart from host Xavier Woods were Cesaro, Adam Cole, and Samoa Joe. The Miz, who had just lost the match, blamed his performance on the controller.

“I don’t know if you guys noticed this but this is the longest that The Miz has been speechless. You take all your accolades, you take your hugely successful career, and you get off of my screen,” Breeze continued as Miz was trying hard not to crack laughing.

At one point, Maryse tells The Miz that he needs to clean the kitchen, and Miz says no. “Tell her you lost while you’re scrubbing the oven,” Breeze says. “Don’t put it on self-clean, you better scrub that thing out, Miz!”

As all of them continued to roast The Miz in the most hilarious way, Breeze had the perfect parting shot. “Miz I heard you’re going to be in the sequel of See No Evil…it’s called See No Talent!”

At that point, everyone lost it, with Woods on the floor and Cesaro, Cole, and Joe laughing their asses off. “Stop it! He’s a human being dammit,” screamed Joe.

NXT Women’s title match to headline NXT on USA tonight

For a show that will go against Fight For The Fallen, WWE has not announced much for tonight’s NXT, a big change from the marketing that Great American Bash received.

Only two matches are announced, with Damien Priest taking on Cameron Grimes and the main event of Io Shirai vs Tegan Nox for the NXT Women’s title. Apart from these two matches, a segment where new NXT champion Keith Lee will address fans will also take place.

Despite winning the past three weeks in viewership, the belief is that AEW will bounce back this week with a big show and solid main event. NXT has been the only “positive” news when it comes to viewers lately for WWE with both Raw and Smackdown taking hits.

Fight For The Fallen 2020 on TNT tonight

For the third straight week, Dynamite will be a themed episode as tonight AEW presents Fight For The Fallen from the Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

At time of this writing, four matches have been already announced including FTR vs The Lucha Bros, The Elite vs Jurassic Express, Cody vs Sonny Kiss for the TNT title, and after a one-week delay, Jon Moxley vs Brian Cage for the AEW World title.

AEW is coming off a three-week losing streak to NXT when it comes to total viewers but it’s expected that Fight For The Fallen will bring in the big numbers for Dynamite tonight.

You can check out betting odds for all the matches at Wrestling.bet.

Stephanie McMahon joins The Bump to talk women’s evolution in WWE

WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon appeared on The Bump today to talk about the fifth year anniversary of the women’s evolution in WWE.

Stephanie said that from a professional standpoint, what happened meant the world to her and from a personal standpoint…it meant the world to her as well as the women were given the ball and they ran with it, taking the spotlight to another level.

Steph said that she always stood up for what she believes in and was always a strong voice in the room when it came to the women’s division, although she cannot take the credit or accolades for making it happen as it was really the fans who made it happen when the #GiveDivasAChance started trending on social media.

When asked about now women being regularly in main events on NXT, Raw, Smackdown, and even on pay-per-views, Stephanie said that they deserve the spot and not just because they’re women, but because most of the time it is the most engaged storyline on the show. Steph mentioned WrestleMania 35 and how she got choked up backstage while talking to Charlotte, Ronda, and Becky and it was awesome for her little girls and other girls to see women competing in the main event at a place where a few years earlier, the only women match at WrestleMania 29 got cut due to time constraints.

Speaking about WrestleMania 34 and her tag match against Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey, Steph said that it was the most physically-challenging thing she ever did in her life because she had to train at least be capable to showcase Ronda’s abilities. She said that there was a lot of pressure as that was Ronda’s first match, was tagging with her husband, and an Olympic gold medalist was in the opposing corner, but she was really proud to get in there and take a beating like that and called it one of the biggest highlights of her career.

The discussion then turned to slaps and as most of you know, Steph can throw a pretty mean slap. She mentioned the slap to Brie Bella and how Brie returned the favor later with one of the hardest slaps she’s ever gotten.

The Evolution pay-per-view from 2018 was also discussed and she called it incredibly special as WWE never did it before and they were all a part of history. She said the WWE women proved everyone wrong that night considering the amount of people in the arena and celebrities who turned up to see the show.

There was no mention of if there will be another Evolution pay-per-view.

Ways to meet a professional wrestler

Professional wrestlers are some of the most dedicated athletes in the world. They are constantly working out, learning new techniques, and trying to keep the audience engaged. That is one reason why it can be so difficult to meet them in person. If you’re someone looking to meet a wrestler, there is some hope. Just follow these guidelines and learn how you can find yourself face to face with a real wrestler for fun or even romance.

Attend wrestlers shows and events

The simplest way to find a wrestler is to go to their planned events. New wrestlers and veterans alike attend these events so they can connect with their fan base. Whether you’re trying to meet someone that is on the professional circuit or people from the local ring, this is a great method to meet people. The only thing to consider is typically the cost and need for travel to meet these men and women. Yet, it’s hard to put a price on getting to meet an athlete that you respect. You’ll often find it’s easy to get personalized autographs and more during these meetups.

Join an Official Fanclub

Official fan clubs are filled with the most dedicated members of a wrestler’s fandom. These are the diehards and they follow every match that a wrestler has been through. The benefit of being in a real fan club is that they are often rewarded with appearances or other communications with their favorite wrestler. The upside is that you get connections that you would not otherwise experience, but the downside is that it might not happen as often as you like. Still, there’s no better way to forge a real connection with a wrestler than by surrounding yourself with fellow fans.

Visit popular wrestlers’ bars and clubs

Wrestlers tend to travel a lot. When they’re in a city, they don’t just sit in their hotel rooms, either. They go out on the town and have a good time. It’s in those moments that you can successfully meet them most of the time. Some certain bars and clubs are notorious for having wrestlers visit them when they’re in town. All you would have to do is look up the wrestling events that are happening in your local area and then connect with other people from your area to see if they have any information that could help you. With enough diehard fans as a thinktank, you could find more than a few potential places to meet wrestlers. While there is no way to guarantee a meetup, you’ll still have a great chance to meet a wrestler in one of these areas if you’re willing to put in the time and effort.

Support them publicly on your account

Another thing that you can do if you wish to meet a wrestler is to take to social media to support them. Many wrestlers have a public profile that they use to connect to their fans. Granted, they might have a social media manager taking care of everything for them. There are still many wrestlers, especially up and comers, who check their profiles regularly. They’ll see that you are a dedicated fan and they could take the time to return a message to you as long as it reaches their ears. This option is better as a long-term plan instead of a short-term one. You have to show that you’re not just some person seeking an autograph or a shout-out for the sake of getting attention.

Use dating sites

Last but not least, it’s a good idea for you to use an online dating service. Dating sites have grown from the singular purpose of connecting people for romances into something entirely different. Now, they’re more of a social community where people can meet friends and find satisfying partners. Wrestlers are just regular people, too, so there is a possibility that you could meet one of them by using a dating site. Make a profile that shows off your love for wrestling and you could organically meet or even date a wrestler. It might seem difficult, but putting some time and care into your profile page and searches could lead to great things.

It is not a secret that it is easy to meet singles online in the modern world, and the same applies to professional wrestlers. The research made by the freesexmatch.com team showed that a lot of professional sportsmen use dating sites to find their partners. While it can be hard to pin down the right area to search for a partner, an online dating service can give you the upper hand that you need to start a relationship. AEW President Tony Khan discussed the suspensions of Jimmy Havoc and Sammy Guevara with the New York Post, two suspensions that came following the #SpeakingOut movement picked up pace last month.

Khan said that Havoc “really needed the counseling” and it was important for him and everyone around him to get that treatment regardless if he returns to AEW or not. Khan said that it was Havoc who asked for help and they did help him in getting the treatment that was required.

Speaking about Guevara, he said it’s a different case than Havoc’s but it was the right thing to do to suspend him without pay.

“The comments he made were horrible. I can’t defend them. I can’t even comment on them because they’re unspeakably bad,” Khan said, adding that they were shocked to learn that Sammy said such things.

“I had never seen that video and it’s something I would have addressed with him before Sammy started here. I never had an opportunity to address it because I didn’t know it existed and neither did anybody else or if they did nobody told us,” Khan continued.

The AEW President added that they had to address the situation before talking about what they will do with Havoc and Guevara. “I didn’t want to rush into making a decision on either person, so it felt like until I had all the facts suspending was the right thing to do. Then I could make whatever the right decision is. I knew the right decision wasn’t for those guys to just come to TV and not address this stuff.”
