It was revealed that Bryan Danielson led a committee that came up with the decision to fire CM Punk from AEW this past September.
The report, by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, noted that Danielson was joined by AEW general counsel Chris Peck and another attorney from outside the company to investigate the All In backstage altercation and recommend action.
The action recommended was dismissal and AEW President Tony Khan took the final decision to fire Punk, leading the way to return to WWE.
Following CM Punk’s return on Monday Night Raw, Danielson made a cryptic tweet, writing, “My dad always told me, ‘The right thing is often the hardest thing to do.’ It won’t always make the most money. It won’t always be the most popular. But it’s still the right thing.” He also added #AEW and a heart emoji.
The money line was a dig at Punk who on Raw said he was there to make money, not friends.
Wrestling, while an exciting and competitive sport, can also expose athletes to a variety of injuries. Proper injury prevention and recovery methods are crucial to ensure the longevity and success of a wrestler’s career. One such method, often overlooked, is the role of physical therapy. Physical therapy offers scientifically-backed techniques to help prevent injuries by improving strength, flexibility, and technique and also aid in the recovery process after an injury has occurred. This paper will delve into the nuances of how physical therapy can be a game-changer for wrestlers, ensuring they stay safe and recover effectively. Knowing how to prevent and recover from injuries is essential for any wrestler, whether they are just starting out or competing at a professional level. Keep on reading to discover the benefits of physical therapy for wrestlers.
The Importance of Injury Prevention in Wrestling
Wrestling is a physically demanding sport that involves intense training, high-level competition, and frequent contact between opponents. Despite rigorous safety protocols and precautions, injuries still occur quite frequently in wrestling due to the nature of the sport. Common injuries include sprains and strains, ligament tears, and concussions.
To prevent these injuries from occurring, wrestlers must focus on maintaining their overall physical health and conditioning. This includes proper strength training to build muscle mass and improve stability, as well as flexibility exercises to increase the range of motion and decrease the risk of strains. Proper technique is also crucial in preventing injuries, as improper form can put unnecessary strain on the body.
The Role of Physical Therapy in Injury Prevention
Physical therapy plays a crucial role in injury prevention for wrestlers by addressing any imbalances or weaknesses that may be present in the body. Through individualized treatment plans, physical therapists can identify and correct areas of weakness, improve overall strength and stability, and teach proper techniques specific to wrestling. For example, a physical therapist may focus on strengthening the core and upper body to improve takedowns and prevent strains.
Additionally, physical therapists can also provide guidance on proper nutrition and hydration, as well as injury prevention strategies such as proper warm-up and cool-down routines. This comprehensive approach to injury prevention can significantly reduce the risk of injuries for wrestlers and allow them to perform at their best.
Orthopedic Physical Therapy As A Key to Pain Relief for Wrestlers
Unfortunately, even with the best injury prevention strategies in place, injuries can still occur. That’s where physical therapy shines as a key component of recovery for wrestlers. Injuries like sprains and ligament tears require proper rehabilitation to fully heal and prevent future re-injury.
Orthopedic physical therapy is specialized in treating musculoskeletal injuries, making it the perfect solution for wrestlers. One of the main benefits of orthopedic physical therapy can be pain relief for wrestlers. Through various techniques such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation, physical therapists can effectively manage pain and promote healing.
Physical Therapy for Post-Injury Rehabilitation and Performance Enhancement
When an injury does occur, the primary aim of physical therapy is to restore function and mobility, while reducing pain and inflammation. A physical therapist will tailor a rehabilitation plan based on the specific injury and the athlete’s physical capabilities. This can range from gentle exercises to restore mobility and flexibility, to more intensive strength training to rebuild muscle and joint strength. Furthermore, physical therapy is not just about recovery; it’s also about enhancing performance.
Once the acute phase of an injury has passed, a physical therapist can help wrestlers regain their pre-injury performance levels or even surpass them. This is achieved through advanced strength and conditioning programs, sports-specific training, and continued emphasis on injury prevention strategies. Physical Therapy, therefore, is a vital tool in a wrestler’s toolkit, helping them to not only recover from injuries but also to boost their performance in the ring.
Thus, wrestling, a demanding sport fraught with potential injuries, significantly benefits from the incorporation of physical therapy in both injury prevention and recovery strategies. Not only does physical therapy provide wrestlers with the tools to avoid injuries and recover effectively, but it also empowers them to enhance their performance and excel in their sport. By identifying and addressing physical weaknesses, teaching proper techniques, providing pain relief, and aiding in post-injury rehabilitation, physical therapists play a pivotal role in a wrestler’s career. It becomes clear that physical therapy, an often-underestimated aspect of sports medicine, is indeed a game-changer for wrestlers, serving as a vital component of their journey toward success and longevity in the sport.
PWInsider.com is reporting that CM Punk was on his best behavior yesterday at Monday Night Raw and the often stressed version of himself from his AEW days was nowhere to be seen.
Punk took time to mingle with everyone in the locker room and was just “one of the boys” so to speak, with no special treatment and was respectful to all the talent he came across.
PWInsider added that most people backstage were hopeful that this version of CM Punk remains for the future, although some are skeptical for obvious reasons and history is definitely not on Punk’s side on this one.
The report also states that some individuals who were not happy that he was back felt better after talking to him in person.
What is interesting is that his promo was cut short because the show ran longer and the Orton vs Mysterio match took a few more minutes than originally scheduled, leaving Punk with only a couple of minutes to make his point across.
Punk is currently not advertised to appear on Smackdown this Friday night but that could obviously change at any moment.
Dynamite on Thanksgiving Eve last Wednesday pulled in 845,000 viewers, up 22,000 viewers from the previous week and the best number since October 17. The show saw the start of the Continental Classic tournament. In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite did a 0.26, down 0.02 from the prior week and the lowest in a month. (Ratings credit: SpoilerTV)

When talking slots you can not mention RTP, an integral part of the entire game type.
Attempts to change the RTP of slots on the part of the casino are like trespassing on the inner sanctum. To say the least, even raising it will not always be perceived positively, let alone lowering it. Nevertheless, casinos dare do it. The biggest wave of such “market shrinking,” as some have called it, happened in 2020-2021. Yes, they had the courage to touch “our precious”.
Let’s break down why such changes are vitally important especially in today’s online slots industry here in this article.
What is RTP and why should you care
RTP 101: RTP, or Return to Player, is the casino’s way of telling you, “Hey, we’re not keeping all your hard-earned cash. Here’s a slice of the pie back for you”. It’s expressed as a percentage and signifies the average amount of money a player can expect to get back over the long haul.
Imagine you toss a hundred bucks into a slot machine with an RTP of 95%. On average, over time, you’d get back 95 bucks, and the casino pockets the remaining 5. It’s like a financial seesaw, and RTP is the equilibrium point. Higher RTP means a more player-friendly game, while a lower RTP is the casino tightening its grip on the loot.
Now, don’t get starry-eyed thinking you’ll always get 95 bucks back on every hundred. It’s more like a cosmic balance over thousands or millions of spins. RTP is the unseen referee in the gambling universe, making sure things level out eventually.
You can lose a lot or hit the jackpot, but take 1,000 players that spun the reels 1,000 times each, they got back 95% of the money they spent altogether.
So, when casinos mess with this number, it’s like they’re tampering with the very fabric of the gambling cosmos, and we’re caught in the fallout.
It’s in this context that offers like the one from Fair Go Casino become even more attractive. They are currently offering 100 Free Spins https://fairgocasinoaus.com/100-free-spins-bonus, a deal that can potentially offset some of the inherent risks in gambling and offer players a more balanced experience. Such offers are not just about the thrill; they’re a strategic element in the grand scheme of gambling.
Why RTP reduction matters
Picture this: you’re spinning those reels weekly, thinking you’re hot stuff, and suddenly BAM! You open the website and see the RTP drops. It’s like someone stole the cream from your coffee – leaves a bitter taste. The lower the RTP, the worse the odds, but how much worse exactly?
Let us break it down for you. For every percent they shave off the RTP, your odds take a hit. If the base is over 90%, every single percentage point is like losing a round in a heavyweight boxing match.
A little backtrack: why would online casinos mess with this golden ratio, you ask? Well, that’s the million-dollar question. Rumor has it they’re tightening their belts, but who knows? All we know is that when the suits start tinkering with the RTP, it’s like they’re playing with fire, and we’re the ones getting burnt.
The real impact of 2%
Alright, back to the cool 95% RTP example. The casino decides to pull a sneaky move and shaves off just 2% from that sweet 95%. Doesn’t sound like much, right? It’s just a measly 2%.
Let math disagree with you. Here’s the lowdown: with the original 95% RTP, for every hundred bucks you toss into the slot abyss, you could expect 95 bucks back on average over time.
Now, with a 93% RTP, that party is taking a hit. For every hundred bucks, you’re only getting back 93 on average. Take a look from a different angle: each time you spend 100$, you lose 7$ instead of 5$, in other words, you lose 40% more.
That might not sound like a canyon-sized gap, but over the long run, it’s like watching your treasure chest shrink.
The less generous RTP means fewer winnings are making their way back to your pockets. It’s akin to going into a pizza joint, ordering a large pie, and realizing they’ve cut two slices out when it arrives. Yeah, it’s still pizza, but your appetite for winnings takes a hit.
You used to make 100 spins with your common bankroll? It”s 71 spins now. That”s how harsh it is. Moreover, the higher the initial RTP was, the more impactful such a decrease would be. Here’s the comparison.
Originally you could spin 100 times.
So, while 2% might seem like pocket change in the grand scheme, in the world of RTP, it’s like you’re grappling with a game that’s not as generous. It’s a game-changer, our friend, and not in the way you’d hope for.
How to beat the reduced RTP: tips and tricks
Should you be happy about your odds being reduced? Of course not! But you didn’t come here for a sob story, right? You came for wisdom and wisdom we shall impart. RTP aside, you gotta be smarter than the machine.
Set clear limits:
Before you hit that spin button, decide on a budget and stick to it like glue. Whether you’re riding the wave of good luck or navigating a storm of losses, having a predefined limit helps you avoid financial shipwrecks.
Start small, dream big:
With the RTP reduction you may consider going for smaller bets. It’s like testing the waters before diving headfirst into the deep end. Small bets can stretch your gameplay, and who knows, that jackpot might just be around the corner, even if not that big.
Know when to fold’em:
Keep your eyes peeled for that sweet spot where you’ve doubled your initial stake or more. Don’t let greed cloud your judgment. When you’re ahead, consider cashing out and treating yourself to a victory dance.
Embrace the volatility:
Understand the volatility of the game. High volatility slots might have bigger payouts, but they’re like riding a wild stallion – thrilling but unpredictable. Lower volatility slots might not make your heart race as much but offer steadier wins.
RTP detective work:
Before diving into a slot, check out the RTP. Most of the casinos display this info in the game details. If the RTP has taken a hit, adjust your strategy accordingly.
Explore other games:
Variety is the spice of life, and the casino floor is your oyster. If your favorite slot is being stingy, try your luck at a different game. If you change dance partners you might find a new favorite, same with the slots.
Stay informed:
Keep your ear to the ground. Follow forums, read reviews, and stay informed about changes in casino policies. Knowledge is power, and in the gambling world, it’s your secret weapon.
But where can you get the lowdown on the nitty-gritty of odds calculation? Check out Wizard of Odds, the gambler’s Bible. There’s also that spills the beans on everything from slot tactics to poker faces. And if you’re feeling fancy, hit up JohnSlots just to have a secret weapon in your back pocket.
Cashback and bonuses:
Almost every casino offers cashback or bonuses, especially in the face of reduced RTPs. Take advantage of these like a savvy shopper grabbing discounts.
You want to use them bonuses anyway, so they”re going to be your lifeline in possibly approaching RTP reduction storm. Just be sure to read the fine print through and through.
Conclusions
In conclusion, no matter how the slots RTPs flip and flop, remember one thing – gambling is a dance, not a sprint. Treat it like a show, not a paycheck. Enjoy the ride, savor the moments, and remember, luck may be a lady, but she’s a fickle one.
So here’s to the next spin, amigo. May your reels be lucky, your bets be wise, and your losses be but a mere footnote in the grand story of the casino floor. Cheers!
Former TNA President Dixie Carter was backstage at Monday Night Raw yesterday in Nashville, visiting old friends.
Carter published photos on her social media with Chelsea Green, Bruce Prichard, Cody Rhodes, Nick Aldis, and Drake Maverick, all of who worked for Impact at some point in their careers.
“So fun seeing so many wonderful people I adore today at @wwe #raw. Thanks Bruce,” Carter wrote.
Carter has been out of the wrestling scene since she left her position at Impact Wrestling in 2016.
In a now-deleted message on X, AEW champion MJF said that he is suffering from a torn labrum but he will still go ahead and wrestle next month.
“I just got an MRI. I tore my labrum in my left shoulder,” MJF wrote, and later deleted. “I’ll be defending my title at worlds end. I believe in AEW.”
The MRI was performed on Monday and adds to the list of injuries that MJF has, including a hip problem which he dislocated during the last pay-per-view match against Jay White.
MJF is set to defend the AEW World title against Samoa Joe at the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30.
CM Punk made his long-awaited return to Monday Night Raw yesterday and headlined the show with a live mic and an in-ring promo.
A much subdued man from his AEW days, Punk said that an American Dream once told him that when you speak from the heart, you can’t go wrong because when you do that, it’s the truth.
Punk said the truth is that he’s now home.
“This is where I belong, this is home and I’ve been gone for 10 years and for over 10 years you never forgot me even when I wanted to forget me,” Punk continued.
The former two-time AEW champion continued to say that he wished he never had to leave but once upon a time, a wise man once told him that in order to get everything he wanted out of this place, he had to leave and come back.
“I hate to say that wise man was right,” he said and now he’s back to get everything he wants.
Punk mentioned that he’s had a lot of smiles, love, and hugs and it felt like a family reunion and while the majority were happy to see him back, some of them did not because they are afraid of the truth.
After dropping the mic, Punk looked at the camera and said, “I’m back. I’m not here to make friends, I’m here to make money.”
QT Marshall, who apart from having an on-screen role with AEW also served as Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination, has resigned from the company.
Marshall made the announcement himself in a post on social media, thanking the company and its president, Tony Khan.
Marshall noted that he’s been with the company since day one and while he wore several hats throughout the years, the company changed and is heading into a different direction and it is best for him to do the same.
“We only get one chance to go All In! I have officially resigned from AEW and will have fulfilled all obligations by the end of 2023,” Marshall wrote.
“Thank you to everyone from the front office to the production truck to some of the hardest working talent in the sport! Most importantly, thank you to those who booed, cheered, and took part in this season of my life,” he continued.
Marshall runs the Nightmare Factory with Cody Rhodes in Atlanta.

CM Punk is out to the ring and said looks like hell froze over, because it looks like CM Punk is standing on Monday Night Raw with a live microphone. He said he came up with two words that sum up what happened he changed, and he is home. He said he was gone for 10 years and the fans never forgot him and never stopped chanting his name.
The voiceless found their voice and he couldn’t be prouder, and he wishes he could say he never left but a wiseman once told him he needed to leave to get everything he wanted. He said it’s like a family reunion. Everyone backstage hugged him and asked how AJ was and he said AJ is just fine and sends her regards. He said almost everyone has welcomed him. He said he knows people are scared because he is back and now the bar is set at an all-time high to be the best because the best in the world is back.
As Raw was closing Punk looked in the camera and said he is not here to make friends, he is here to make money.

Forget Raw after Mania, tonight’s Raw is probably the most important one in a very long time as CM Punk returns to the show following his appearance at the Survivor Series this past Saturday.
Punk has not appeared on Raw since January 2014 and with a live mic in hand, no one can predict what will come out of his mouth!
To mark the occasion, the first hour of Raw will also be commercial free!
CM Punk is not the only one returning on Raw as Randy Orton is also scheduled to be on the broadcast tonight, his first in 18 months.
Three matches have been announced for the broadcast as well, with Bronson Reed vs Ivar, Tegan Nox and Natalya vs Chelsea Green and Piper Niven for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles, and a Tag Team Turmoil match between six tag teams where the winners become the number one contenders for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles. Joining the match will be The New Day, Alpha Academy, The Creed Brothers, DIY, Imperium, and Indus Sher.
The CM Punk return video has now reached over 40 million views since it was uploaded on Saturday night on WWE’s social media properties.
The video on Twitter now has a count of 28 million, followed by 9 million on TikTok, and 4 million on YouTube. It’s one of the most-viewed WWE video of all time and probably a record breaker in terms of that amount of views in such a short period of time.
Punk made a surprise return following the conclusion of the Survivor Series: WarGames main event on Saturday night, coming out after the copyright credits showed up on screen to a monstrous pop from the Chicago crowd.
AEW President Tony Khan did not want to talk about CM Punk returning to WWE, saying he cannot legally do so.
Appearing on BBC Radio West Midlands to promote this morning’s All In pre-sale at Wembley Stadium, host Steve Hermon asked Khan about his thoughts on Punk going back to WWE during this past weekend at the Survivor Series.
“Can’t talk about that, nor do I think it’s the time or the place,” Khan swiftly responded, probably anticipating that such question was coming sooner or later.
“But I appreciate you asking, and I’m very excited about AEW All In Wembley Stadium. Not to dodge or duck your question, it’s just not something I can legally talk about.”
I had the chance to chat to #AEW owner Tony Khan about #AEWAllIn 2024 at Wembley Stadium ahead of tickets going on sale this week.
I’ll post the full interview tomorrow but we covered lots of topics, including Sting, Will Ospreay, Fulham FC and I had to ask about #CMPunk… pic.twitter.com/1k2Jd5k5qh
Stephanie McMahon was visiting at the Survivor Series and was sitting ringside along with her daughters during the show, the first time she appeared in public at a WWE show since she left the company.
McMahon, the former Chairwoman and co-CEO of WWE, quit after her father Vince McMahon forced his way back to the company at the end of last year. While her previous hiatus was said to be as taking a break to focus on family life, this time around it was a clean break from the company.
Vince now no longer holds power as it has shifted to Endeavor who hold a majority stake in WWE and reports said that he was not even involved in bringing in CM Punk as it was strictly handled by Nick Khan and Triple H.
Stephanie holds no official role within WWE or TKO apart from her owning several thousands of shares in the company.
