Raw moving back to two hours from October 7 until end of the year

Raw

During Monday Night Raw, it was revealed that the show will be going back to two hours from October 7 until the end of the year.

Raw is temporarily on USA Network until it moves to Netflix in January 2025, with the original deal expiring this month. NBCUniversal paid a much lesser price to air Raw for the next three months although now it looks like it was only for two hours, rather than three. WWE is receiving approximately $25 million from this three-month deal.

The show moved to a three-hour format in July 2012. It’s unclear if it will go back to three hours once it moves to Netflix, although the way it was suggested on television, it looks like it will.

Raw is live from the Calgary Saddledome, perhaps one of the last WWE shows ever at the arena as it’s expected to be torn down in 2027. To help commemorate WWE’s return will be WWE Hall of Famer and Calgary’s own Bret “Hit Man” Hart, who will be part of the broadcast.

Also announced are Jey Uso vs Braun Strowman vs Ilja Dragunov vs Pete Dunne in the Intercontinental title number one contendership, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill defend their titles against The Unholy Union, Zelina Vega, Lyra Valkyria, and a mystery tag team partner team up against Pure Fusion Collective in a six-woman tag team match, and Dominik Mysterio vs Dragon Lee.

Tonight’s Raw will go head-to-head with the premiere of Monday Night Football on ESPN so the company is doing its best to minimize the damage.
