The New Day’s story took an unexpected twist last night on Raw as their 10th year anniversary celebration ended with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods turning heel on the returning Big E.
During the celebration, former WWE champion Big E made a surprise return and said that while he’s still not medically cleared to return to the ring, he is going to return to manage The New Day and help fix their issues.
Kingston and Woods, who had their issues over the past several weeks, quickly accused E of abandoning them and choosing a desk job and girlfriend over them. A shocked Big E explained that he broke his neck but Kingston and Woods had none of it, reminding E that Steve Austin broke his neck and came back, Kurt Angle broke his neck and came back and Big E is still out and did not even need surgery.
Woods told E that he should stop taking people for a ride and admit that he will never be cleared to return and that he should get out of the ring and go back to his desk job, saying sarcastically that they would call him if they need him.
Big E, without a mic, tried to reason with the two and refused to say he’ll never return to the ring, offering a hug. But Kingston stopped him by putting his arm out and Woods turned around.
A devastated E then left the ring as Kingston and Woods went face-to-face.
“Now it’s just me and you,” Woods told Kingston. “It’s just us bro,” Kingston replied as the two shook hands while E watched from the ramp.
All the Monday Night Raw episodes dating back from the first one on January 11, 1993, are set to expire from Peacock in 29 days.
At the end of December, everything related to Raw in the United States will cease to exist on the streaming service as Raw moves to Netflix in January 2025.
This is due to the new contract WWE has with Netflix and follows what the company did with NXT when it moved from USA Network to The CW. Old episodes of NXT remain locked in the vault as only new episodes are available for viewing on The CW app.
Peacock will also no longer have re-runs of new episodes of Raw as those will be available on Netflix with a subscription moving forward.
WWE fans in other countries around the world will lose the whole WWE Network and its content at the end of this month as well as the Network shuts down with selected content moving to Netflix.
It remains to be seen if Netflix in the U.S. will upload all the old episodes of Raw but it looks like WWE is holding back on their video library for the next highest bidder.
WWE will remain on Peacock in the United States until 2026.
Disney’s Moana 2, featuring the voice of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Maui, had a $135.5 million opening in the United States this Thanksgiving weekend.
The movie was released on Wednesday on Thanksgiving Eve and had an additional $85.5 million for that day and Thanksgiving, sending its domestic total to $221 million.
Internationally, the movie had an additional $165.3 million for a worldwide box office revenue of $386.3 million according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.
This beats Moana’s original release which had a Thanksgiving weekend opening of $66,561,040. Moana 2 also broke records for the biggest Thanksgiving weekend opening ever.
Johnson’s other movie, Red One, was #4 on the box office chart and November marked a good month for The Rock, having two #1 movies.
Addressing her divorce publicly for the first time, WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia said that she needed time away from everything to protect her son and heal following months-long issues with her now ex-husband Artem Chigvintsev.
Garcia was speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, returning to the show for the latest episode after several weeks out.
“It’s been really tough. I’ve been heartbroken…sad,” Nikki told her sister. “You know, you dream of having this family and you have this incredible love and it just goes the other way. And you go from having a great love story to having a terrible one.”
Nikki admitted that it has been a big struggle for her as she never imagined she would have that ending although she played up things a lot better than what they were in public, something which she now regrets doing.
She said that her son deserves the greatest dad ever and she will not be dragging her ex-husband in the mud because that’s not what Matteo needs or deserves.
“You fight for your kids, you want to stick together because that’s what the kids want. And I tried really hard,” Nikki said.
She added that she’s been finding it tough without her son now that they have shared custody of him and she’s never been at home without him before.
“Really, really hard…very emotional. Even yesterday. I cry every time he leaves.”
WWE will be celebrating the 10th year anniversary of The New Day live tonight on Monday Night Raw, a team which over the past decade has dominated the WWE tag team division as well as the singles division, at least for two of them in particular.
The trio made their debut as The New Day on the November 28, 2014 episode of Smackdown after they were formed a few months earlier in the year.
Together, they have a total of 12 tag team title reigns spanning across Raw, Smackdown, and NXT, not to mention singles title runs for Kofi Kingston and Big E as WWE champions and Xavier Woods as King of the Ring in 2021.
Unfortunately, the trio was slimmed down to a duo after Big E suffered a broken neck during an episode of Smackdown in March 2022 and things haven’t been great between Kofi and Xavier, especially the last several months.
Big E has yet to return to the ring although he has been a constant on panels at pre-shows for WWE premium live events.
If he appears on tonight’s Raw remains to be seen, but it’s hard to celebrate The New Day without Big E!
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that Penta El Zero Miedo is now a free agent with his AEW contract expired.
The popular Mexican star has not wrestled on AEW television since the July 17 episode of Rampage and after that, it became clear that he and his brother Fenix were not interested in renewing their AEW deal.
Fenix, on the other hand, is stuck in AEW as the company has extended his contract to make up for his injured time but there are no plans to use him on television until his deal runs out sometime in mid-2025.
While an ugly tactic, it’s a tactic that has been used by WWE as well and this will keep Fenix away from reuniting with his brother in WWE.
The 39-year-old Penta is expected to sign with WWE after five years with AEW. He has never worked for WWE before.
The Continental Classic tournament continued yesterday on Collision with three matches taking place.
In the first match of the night, Will Ospreay defeated Juice Robinson in the gold league to earn his first three points. Kyle Fletcher defeated The Beast Mortos in the blue league for his three points and Kazuchika Okada and Daniel Garcia went to a 20-minute time limit draw so they each got one point each in the blue league.
Shelton Benjamin and Kyle Fletcher currently lead the blue league with three points each while Claudio Castagnoli, Brody King, and Will Ospreay are in the lead with three points in the gold league.
The action continues on Wednesday on Dynamite with Brody King vs Claudio Castagnoli and Shelton Benjamin vs Kyle Fletcher.
Survivor Series: WarGames in Vancouver was the 63rd sellout of the year for WWE and continues the record-breaking trend that the company has set throughout 2024.
The announced attendance was of 17,828 and with high ticket prices, it has broken the all-time arena gate record in North America.
WWE will be back in Canada in March for the Elimination Chamber at the Rogers Centre, which was previously known as the SkyDome. This will be the first WWE event in the location since WrestleMania X8 which had The Rock vs Hulk Hogan as one of its main matches.
Two injuries were reported from the Survivor Series: WarGames main event as Jimmy Uso and Bronson Reed bought walked out of the show with more damage than the rest of their respective team mates.
Jimmy Uso broke his toe following the splash from the top of the cage on a waiting Jacob Fatu. Jimmy was limping and was helped by his brother Jey and Sami Zayn when it was time to walk to the back.
Meanwhile, Bronson Reed also suffered a leg injury after his big Tsunami miss through a table. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H said in the post-show press conference that Reed was being looked at by medical. Replays of the splash show that Reed landed awkwardly on his ankle and thankfully, the move was set to take him out of the rest of the WarGames match anyway so there were no other spots for him.
Here are the results from last night’s Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 which took place live from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Bayley defeated Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae in the women’s WarGames match; Shinsuke Nakamura defeated LA Knight to become the new WWE United States champion; Bron Breakker defeated Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser in a triple threat match to retain the Intercontinental title; Gunther defeated Damian Priest to retain the WWE World Heavyweight title; Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk defeated Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed in the men’s WarGames match.
Hey everybody!! It’s @TheMagnumDA here with another edition of the pick’em report. Tonight, for the third time ever, we have WAR GAMES as the feature match headlining the 38th annual Survivor Series!! Truly, it will be teams of five that will strive to survive. As for the pick’em? It’s yours truly going up against the WOPC Champion Colin Vassallo!! Who will come out on top? Let’s find out.
ON WITH THE PICKS!!!
Triple Threat – WWE Intercontinental Title Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser
Magnum: I would love to see Sheamus finally get his chance to become the Intercontinental Champion, but I think the story will be Kaiser preventing that from happening. In all of the hullabaloo, Bron‘s going to catch one of these guys with a 20 mph Spear, and will retain the IC Title.
Colin: This should be a great match. All three can work, and all three can hit hard. They should let Breakker continue with his title run because it’s too early to take it off from him. Sheamus doesn’t need it and while it would help Kaiser, Breakker needs it more. Bron wins.
WWE United States Title LA Knight (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Magnum: So this is where I’m inclined to believe a major shocking upset will happen. Shinsuka can’t come back just to lose, and he loses all threatening aura if he comes up short here, or if they wait until Saturday Night’s Main Event to pull the trigger. That is not the way to go. It happens tonight. Shinsuke once again wins the United States Championship.
Colin: Considering how over LA Knight is, his title run has not been anything special. It’s actually quite a disappointment for me. It has not clicked at all. If they want to make something out of Nakamura, they have to give him the win tonight, otherwise, his return will go down with the rest of his returns. Nakamura is a fantastic wrestler and deserves a title run, no matter which one it is. Nakamura wins, #ANDNEW.
World Heavyweight Championship Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest
Magnum: I get the “Gunther being vulnerable” mindset after losing at Crown Jewel, but they’ve taken that angle about as far as they could go. Gunther is going into WrestleMania as World Heavyweight Champion, and this match simply closes the chapter on the man who walked out of this year’s Mania as WHC. I’ll take Gunther to retain.
Colin: I don’t know why they, all of a sudden, have been presenting Gunther like that on television. There was really nothing extraordinary to have Gunther “lose his confidence” or whatever. I can’t see Priest winning the belt anytime soon and I can’t see Gunther dropping it anytime soon so the pick here is pretty clear, Gunther wins.
Women’s WarGames Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Bayley vs. The Judgment Day (Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez), Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae
Magnum: This is really challenging – I want to pick the team led by Judgment Day, but I’m inclined to think that they will split victories between the heels and babyfaces. Having said that, I will take Team Ripley to win the match. I think that we will see something extraordinary to win the match – maybe a KOD on Nia Jax? What an unbelievable sight that would be!
Colin: This feels like it was thrown together just so they can have a women’s WarGames match. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for it, but it did no come naturally like the Bloodline match did. It’s a good way to get all these different women on the card though especially since it’s the only women’s match. I am picking Ripley’s team to get the W.
Bonus #1 – Who will get the winning fall?
Magnum: Let’s stick with what was discussed above – Bianca Belair!
Colin: Rhea Ripley
Bonus #2 – Who will take the pin/submission?
Magnum: Nia Jax
Colin: Candice LeRae
Bonus #3 – Will a cash-in happen in this match?
Magnum: HELL YEAH, why not?!!
Colin: No
Men’s WarGames Roman Reigns, The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso), Sami Zayn, and CM Punk (with Paul Heyman) vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa) and Bronson Reed
Magnum: Here we go. The build for this match really ramped up over the last few weeks with the re-emergence of Punk and Paul Heyman. It pretty much mirrors what happened with Randy Orton last year. I think that’s where the similarities end, though. I don’t think this will have the fairytale ending that happened last year. I am inclined to believe that the new Bloodline needs some credibility to keep moving – to achieve that, they’ll get the win here. Whether it’s Punk walking out, Rock showing up, or Seth/KO/Cody getting involved, something is going to happen that screws the original Bloodline out of a victory. Give me The New Bloodline to win this match.
Colin: This is going to be interesting. I’m totally expecting someone to flip. Sami? Heyman? Punk? One of them. Reigns will feel the wrath of one of his team mates by the end of the night. Heyman looked shady AF since returning and my pick is on him. For this to continue, I think the New Bloodline has to get to win. It’s going to be a great match regardless, and maybe The Rock will also show up!
Bonus #1 – Who will get the winning fall?
Magnum: Solo Sikoa
Colin: Solo Sikoa will get the win.
Bonus #2 – Who will take the pin/submission?
Magnum: Jimmy Uso
Colin: Sami Zayn
That’s going to do it for us here at Wrestling-Online…thank you so much for checking us out! We’ll see you next time for the pick’em report. @TheMagnumDA signing off!
AEW will have both episodes of Collision and Rampage today but starting at a much earlier time than usual.
Avoiding going head-to-head with the Survivor Series, Collision will start at 4PM ET on TNT, four hours prior their usual time slot.
Matches include Mina Shirakawa vs Leila Grey, The Outrunners vs Iron Savages, Private Party and Mistico vs MxM Collection and Jonathan Television, Adam Page vs Wheeler Yuta, Kyle Fletcher vs Beast Mortos from the C2 blue league, Juice Robinson vs Will Ospreay from the C2 gold league, and Kazuchika Okada vs Daniel Garcia from the C2 gold league.
Meanwhile, Rampage kicks off at 6PM ET and will go head on with Survivor Series. Taped for tonight are Thunder Rosa vs Harleygram, Top Flight and Action Andretti vs Katsuyori Shibata, Mascara Dorado, Atlantis Jr in a trios match, Hechicero vs Komander, and The Beast Mortos vs Serpentico.
This year’s WarGames participants consist of a few who have been there before, but also some newcomers to the match.
This is Iyo Sky’s sixth WarGames match and is the only woman who has participated in every single WarGames match from NXT to main roster. It’s an impressive feat that not even anyone on the men’s roster has accomplished. Unfortunately for Sky, she has only won the match once.
Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair are also veterans of this WarGames with this one being their fourth match. Both of them were part of the inaugural NXT WarGames match along with Iyo Sky, but on opposing teams.
For Bayley, Candice LeRae, and Raquel Rodriguez, this will be their third time in the steel structure while Liv Morgan, Tiffany Stratton, and Nia Jax will make their WarGames debut tonight. LeRae was part of the first women’s WarGames match in 2019.
Over in the men’s match, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso are the ones with the most appearances in WarGames, with two so far so this will be their third time in the match. It’s the third year in a row for both of them as well.
For Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, this will be their second WarGames match having previously participated in 2022 against The Brawling Brutes, Drew McIntyre, and Kevin Owens.
CM Punk, Bronson Reed, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu are all new to this match and it will be their first adventure inside the steel structure.
In a post to his 103 million followers on Instagram, Hollywood star Vin Diesel has teased more Fast & Furious movies and wants Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson back in the fold.
“I got Universal in one ear saying we need FastX2 by March 2026,” Diesel wrote. “I have Comcast in the other ear saying we need two movies to be the Finale!”
He added, “Then the writer on Fast Five sent me this image and said we need to see DOM and HOBBS resolve their differences,” adding the photo of the two together on the set of one of the Fast movies.
“I just want to get back to real street racing, practical stunts… and a reunion of that beautiful brotherhood,” Diesel concluded.
Johnson exited the Fast & Furious franchise after the eighth installment to start his own Hobbs & Shaw franchise, which only had one movie. The exit was due to a public feud with Diesel but Johnson returned as his Hobbs character in the Fast X post-credits scene to a major surprise to viewers.
Live tonight from the sold out Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, WWE presents Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 on Peacock and WWE Network. The full card is as follows:
Roman Reigns, The Usos, Sami Zayn, and CM Punk vs Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Bronson Reed in the men’s WarGames match; Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Naomi, Iyo Sky, and Bayley vs Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, and Candice LeRae in the women’s WarGames match; Gunther vs Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight title; Bron Breakker vs Sheamus vs Ludwig Kaiser in a triple threat match for the WWE Intercontinental title; LA Knight vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE United States title.
This year’s Survivor Series will be starting at 6PM ET and the countdown show will start two hours earlier at 4PM ET streaming live on Peacock, YouTube, Facebook, and X. The Survivor Series post-show will follow immediately after the conclusion of the show and will also stream on Peacock, YouTube, Facebook, and X.
A face-to-face between Roman Reigns and CM Punk, moderated by Paul Heyman, aired last night on Friday Night Smackdown.
Shot in a cinematic style similar to the face-to-face between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes a few months ago, Punk arrived late to the meeting, which angered the OTC.
Punk made it clear that he was not there for Roman, but for his friend Paul Heyman while Roman made it clear that he doesn’t need, or want, Punk.
Heyman told both Reigns and Punk that divided, they will fall to the New Bloodline and warned Punk that he would be next on Solo’s list. Together, he said, they would survive at best.
Both somewhat agreed and said this would be a one-time thing and Punk said that if Reigns wants to revisit this after WarGames, then he’s up for it.
Punk said that he’s owed a favor and Roman asked if he owes him one.
“You won’t owe me anything,” Punk said. “Our wiseman will owe me a favor.”
After Punk exited the frame, a worried Roman asked Heyman what the favor is.
“Let’s get through WarGames, then we’ll have all the time in the world to talk about it,” Heyman responded, obviously hiding something very important from his Tribal Chief.
Michin earned a spot in the semi final of the Women’s United States title tournament after yesterday she defeated Piper Niven and Lash Legend in a triple threat.
Legend replaced Jade Cargill, who last week was taken out of action in a backstage segment.
Michin will now face the winner of next week’s triple threat between Tiffany Stratton, Naomi, and Elektra Lopez.
Over on the other side of the bracket, Bayley will take on Chelsea Green in the semi final match.
The final match will take place on the Saturday Night’s Main Event broadcast on December 14.
Bro! Matt Riddle made a surprise appearance at last night’s TNA Turning Point, coming in as a replacement for Trey Miguel who was unable to be there due to travel issues.
Riddle teamed up with Kushida and Zachary Wentz against The Hardys and Ace Austin in a six-man tag match but unfortunately was on the losing side of the match.
This was Riddle’s TNA debut and it’s not known if the former WWE Superstar is in line to make more TNA appearances in the future. His appearance came as a last-minute deal after it became clear Miguel was not going to make it to the show.
Since being fired from WWE, Riddle has mainly toured the independent scene and has also worked for AAA.
With Jade Cargill out of action, former WWE Women’s champion Bayley has stepped in to replace her in the women’s WarGames mach tonight.
Bayley has tried to gain Bianca Belair’s trust over the past week, even helping her defeat Nia Jax on Raw to have the WarGames early advantage.
Bayley stood by her team mates last night on Smackdown in the final promo between the two teams. This will be Bayley’s third time in WarGames, having previously battled alongside her Damage CTRL faction. She has never been on the winning side of the match.
