Penta El Zero Miedo a free agent after AEW contract expires

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that Penta El Zero Miedo is now a free agent with his AEW contract expired.

The popular Mexican star has not wrestled on AEW television since the July 17 episode of Rampage and after that, it became clear that he and his brother Fenix were not interested in renewing their AEW deal.

Fenix, on the other hand, is stuck in AEW as the company has extended his contract to make up for his injured time but there are no plans to use him on television until his deal runs out sometime in mid-2025.

While an ugly tactic, it’s a tactic that has been used by WWE as well and this will keep Fenix away from reuniting with his brother in WWE.

The 39-year-old Penta is expected to sign with WWE after five years with AEW. He has never worked for WWE before.
