WWE has landed Cardi B as the host of this year’s two-night SummerSlam from New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
“I will finally be hosting,” B said in a video which aired on Smackdown. “And nobody better try me.”
The super popular Grammy Award-winning rapper filmed the SummerSlam commercial with Bianca Belair and rumors were flying around that she would somehow be involved in the show.
Tickets for SummerSlam go on pre-sale on Wednesday, April 30 and will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 2.
Paul “Triple H” Levesque thanked Vince McMahon during his Hall of Fame induction speech, maybe a topic that many expected to be touched but no one knew for sure if he was going there due to the ongoing situation with the sex trafficking lawsuit.
“Something that I skirted around all night long but I’ve gotta talk about it…and that’s Vince,” Triple H said as fans cheered a little.
“It’s a complicated story and a complicated relationship but in so many ways I would not be here without him, not just in my business life which would be enough on its own,” he continued.
Triple H said that Vince was the one who saw something in him creatively and invited him to those production meetings, taught him, let him sit under that learning tree, and encouraged him to continue to learn.
“He wasn’t just my boss, he wasn’t just a friend, he wasn’t just a mentor, he would become my father-in-law. My wife, the person I love the most in this world, he’s her father, he’s my kid’s grandfather, so it’s complicated,” Triple H added.
“When there’s somebody that helps propel you that far you owe them so much he taught me so much what to do what not to do, I’m grateful for all those lessons,” he said as the Vince chapter came to a close. “I love you Vince, and thank you.”
Stephanie McMahon, their three kids, and Linda McMahon were shown in front row during the speech.
Triple H also thanked Shane McMahon, calling him the brother he never had and told him not to jump off anything high.
Here are the results from today’s NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event which took place live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Hey Everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with your WrestleMania Pick’em report, right here on Wrestling-Online.com! (gotta love the cheap pops, right?!)
It all started 40 years ago…the year was 1985. The War to Settle the Score…settled nothing! It only fueled the raging wildfire that became the phenomenon we know as WrestleMania. Now, here we are, in a brand new world where WWE is accessible live to practically every country on Earth. Over the last couple of years, they have truly become World Wrestling Entertainment and they are hotter than they’ve ever been! Don’t believe me? Count the gate money after this weekend.
Our very own Colin Vassallo is the current WOPC Champion – he’s been on quite the run since winning the title back late last year. A title run almost as healthy as Gunther! The question is…similar to Gunther, is Colin’s title reign in jeopardy? There’s only one way to find out.
ON WITH THE PICKS FOR NIGHT ONE!
World Tag Team Championship (Raw) The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) (c) vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)
Magnum: This heel turn by The New Day has been nothing short of spectacular. Colin may not agree with me, but somehow two of the most likable dudes in all of wrestling have suddenly become insufferable jerks, and the pariahs of the locker room. Wouldn’t a cameo from Big E hit the spot right now? Question is…whose side will he be on? I’ll take The New Day to win the straps for the very first time at a WrestleMania.
Colin: Dumping Big E has made wonders for The New Day and their current gimmick. They were becoming stale and the usual happy-go-lucky team that got old. I think they deserve another run with those titles considering the amount of work they’ve done. Sign me up for a New Day win.
Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
Magnum: This match has become one of the WrestleMania sensations – Chad Gable has breathed new life into himself (and American Made) with this gimmick. This match has a vibe similar to Cody vs. Rey at Mania 27 (where Cody introduced a new character/gimmick). While that match was somewhat plodding, I would expect this match to be high-flying and exciting. I wouldn’t be surprised if this became an Intercontinental Championship program down the road. Give Me Gable or Give Me Death! I’m taking the Americano.
Colin: Rey got injured on Smackdown last night, I wonder if he will be at 100% to wrestle tonight. The whole El Grande Americano gimmick is stupid if you ask me…but what do I know? Chad is great as Chad Gable. I’m picking El Grande Americano to score a victory over the Hall of Famer.
Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
Magnum: I gotta admit…I figured the blowoff to this match would have involved Bianca Belair, but I guess that wasn’t in the cards…unless the story isn’t over yet? I’m thinking that it is – this is a showcase squash for Jade in her singles debut at WrestleMania.
Colin: I don’t think Jade is going to lose in her PLE singles debut, right? But it makes sense if Naomi wins and this gets stretched out a little bit more. Nah… Jade wins.
WWE United States Championship (Smackdown) LA Knight (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
Magnum: I am disappointed that Shinsuke Nakamura was bumped off the card. That said, Jacob Fatu is running hot right now and it seems like the perfect place for him to seize championship gold. I LOVE YOU JACOB! New US Champion.
Colin: LA Knight as champion doesn’t cut it for me. Yeah, he’s over, and yeah, it’s a popular catchphrase, but yeah, not for me, dawg. Fatu is an incredible performer and I think he can elevate the title even more so Jacob Fatu wins.
WWE Women’s Championship (Smackdown) Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
Magnum: Boy, oh boy the gloves came off for this one. The difference is that Tiffany was ready when Charlotte went off-script in their promos, and I don’t think Charlotte was ready for what Tiffany had to say in return. At first, it seemed like a bygone conclusion that Charlotte would be winning this match, but it has also become apparent that time has passed her by, and the mind games Charlotte used to play are now being used against her. I am torn on this one – WWE has a chance to really set the stage for a mammoth upset, but I also can’t see Charlotte’s return from injury ending in a Mania loss….right? I can’t bet against her, at this point. I’ll take Charlotte.
Colin: Everyone is expecting Charlotte to win this one. Everyone. I’m going the other way simply because I think it will generate more news than Charlotte actually winning. Stratton has been a great champion and it would be a damn shame if he drops the title tonight. It’s Tiffy Time here in Vegas. Tiff retains.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match (Raw) Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso
Magnum: I gotta admit…I’m in the majority that felt like this match didn’t have a lot of steam until Jey cut that promo in Minneapolis. That got everyone buzzing, and I think it made Gunther look vulnerable (in a good way). I think Jey’s going to pull out all the stops en route to his first World Heavyweight Championship. YEET! Give me Jey to win the strap.
Colin: I guess the inevitable here is Jey winning the title. It would be funny if Gunther wins, but that would probably kill Jey’s momentum. The man got a stupid word and hand gesture over like crazy, so you gotta give him that. I wouldn’t mind a short title run for Jey, but I don’t like that it comes to the expense of Gunther. Anyway, Jey wins. Yeet.
Main Event – Triple Threat Match Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk (with Paul Heyman) vs. Seth Rollins
Magnum: Hooooo doggie. Who do you trust? This is quite the compelling Main Event – can you imagine how much higher the stakes would be if a World Championship was on the line? Then again, this has been so good that you don’t even need to make it a title match. What will happen tonight will shape the wrestling landscape, both in the immediate future as well as the long-term. The true shock would be if Heyman “accidentally” cost both Reigns and Punk the match, and then leaves with Seth Rollins. While that ending would not be on my Bingo card, I would love to see where it goes from there. The safe bet, though, is that Punk/Heyman revive the historic 2012-2013 heel run starting at this show…so give me Punk to take this one home.
Colin: Oh my oh my, I am so unsure about this one and it could go either way. Hopefully it’s a great main event, although I do not like triple threats that close the show…I would rather have a one-on-one. But anyway, I’m choosing the most improbable outcome here and picking Seth Rollins to win.
Well, there you have it, wrestling fans! Our picks for WrestleMania XLI Night One are in the books – join us tomorrow for another installment of the WrestleMania Pick’em report for Night Two!! @TheMagnumDA signing off.
Rey Mysterio was injured last night on Smackdown and his status for WrestleMania today is up in the air.
Mysterio was tagging with Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee in a six-man tag match against Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers and towards the end of the match, Mysterio exited the ring and was assisted by the WWE medical team.
He was eventually helped to the back by officials as he could not put any pressure on his right leg.
Mysterio is set to take on El Grande Americano on today’s show but could be replaced if he’s not cleared for any in-ring action.
Roman Reigns will reach 10 WrestleMania main events tonight, extending his lead over Hulk Hogan who had eight main events in total during his career.
Reigns hit that number last year during WrestleMania XL Saturday and then surpassed him the following day with another main event on WrestleMania XL Sunday. He is the only individual to main event two WrestleMania nights in a row.
It’s also his sixth WrestleMania main event in a row, surpassing Hogan who had five spanning from WrestleMania V to IX. Reigns has been in the main event of WrestleMania every year since WrestleMania 37.
Reigns has main evented against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, Triple H at WrestleMania 32, Undertaker at WrestleMania 33, Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, Daniel Bryan and Edge at WrestleMania 37, Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL Saturday, Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania XL Sunday, and tonight against Seth Rollins and CM Punk at WrestleMania 41 Saturday.
He missed WrestleMania 36 due to the COVID pandemic, otherwise he was also supposed to be in the main event of that one against Bill Goldberg.
CM Punk will enter his first WrestleMania as a competitor in 12 long years tonight and will also cross one big dream: headlining the event.
This will be his first WrestleMania main event and only his fifth singles match at WrestleMania, but eighth overall.
Punk was part of the Money In The Bank ladder match in 2007, wrestling alongside with Mr. Kennedy, Randy Orton, King Booker, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Edge, and Finlay. A year later, he won the Money In The Bank ladder match, defeating Chris Jericho, Mr. Kennedy, MVP, Carlito, John Morrison, and Shelton Benjamin. He also took part in the third Money In The Bank ladder match in a row in 2009 and won again against Mark Henry, Finlay, Christian, Kane, MVP, Kofi Kingston, and Shelton Benjamin.
He then started his singles run, against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania 26, against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 27, against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 28, and versus The Undertaker at WrestleMania 29.
His record is 3-4, not the best in the world, excuse the pun! To make it 4-4, he will need to overcome both Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns tonight, not any easy task by any means, but he does have the addition of Paul Heyman, who will be in his corner for this match after Punk cashed in his favor.
Punk was supposed to wrestle at last year’s WrestleMania but was injured at the Royal Rumble. He provided commentary for the Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre match and then cause McIntyre the newly-won WWE World Heavyweight title, allowing Damian Priest to cash in his Money In The Bank briefcase.
Live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, WWE presents WrestleMania 41 Saturday streaming live on Peacock in the United States and Netflix everywhere else. The full card is as follows:
Roman Reigns vs CM Punk vs Seth Rollins in a triple threat match; Gunther vs Jey Uso for the WWE World Heavyweight title; Tiffany Stratton vs Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women’s title; LA Knight vs Jacob Fatu for the WWE United States title; The War Raiders vs The New Day for the WWE World Tag Team titles; Jade Cargill vs Naomi; and Rey Mysterio vs El Grande Americano.
The Countdown to WrestleMania show will start at 5PM ET / 2PM PT and will stream on WWE’s social media properties. The premium live event will start at 7PM ET.
WrestleMania 41 Saturday has now moved 56,000 tickets according to the @WrestleTix tracking service, making it just over 1,000 away from a sell-out in the current configuration.
The setup has 57,224 seats listed, with a large block of seats not usable due to the massive WrestleMania stage design.
The company has managed to move well over 4,000 seats in the last few days and the cheapest tickets available as of this morning are $120 for limited view seats. Ringside seats have dropped to $5,000 again and there are quite a few floor seats on the hard cam section that still have to be sold.
Next week’s episode of Smackdown will have a TLC match for the WWE Tag Team titles as the tag team division in Smackdown continues to get out of control.
Motor City Machine Guns were wrestling for the titles against The Street Profits last night on Smackdown but that match got interrupted after Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano of DIY interfered.
In a backstage segment later, Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis told the three teams that the situation will be handled on the first Smackdown post-WrestleMania next week as all three teams face each other in a tables, ladders, and chairs match.
Also set for next week is the return of Aleister Black, whose final vignette showed the date of 4.25.25.
Fans attending WrestleMania this weekend should not take just any bag with them, otherwise you will be refused entry unless your bag matches the Allegiant Stadium policy.
All bags must be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and must not exceed 12” x 6” x 12” in size. Small clutch bags, purses, or wallets, 4.5″ x 6.5″ x 2″ or smaller can be taken into the stadium in addition to one of the approved clear bags.
Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, purses larger than 4.5” x 6.5” x 2”, coolers, briefcases, diaper bags, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags, and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
If you have bags for medical items, an exception will be made but will be screened prior to entry.
Carmelo Hayes won the Andre The Giant Memorial battle royal last night on Smackdown, last eliminating his rival Andrade to win. The final four also had Shinsuke Nakamura and Rey Fenix.
The other participants this year were Akira Tozawa, Angel, Austin Theory, Berto, Brutus Creed, Carlito, Chad Gable, Cruz Del Toro, Dragon Lee, Elton Prince, Grayson Waller, Joaquin Wilde, Julius Creed, Karrion Kross, Kit Wilson, Ludwig Kaiser, Otis, Pete Dunne, Santos Escobar, R-Truth, The Miz, and Tyler Bate.
This was the 11th Andre The Giant Memorial battle royal to be held.
Randy Orton is not going to miss his 20th WrestleMania and despite his match against Kevin Owens getting canceled due to his opponent’s legit injury, Orton is back on the card.
On Smackdown last night, The Viper issued an open challenge for WrestleMania Sunday and challenged any wrestler in town to show up and face him.
At this point it remains unclear if his opponent will be someone within WWE or someone who is rumored to have signed with the company lately.
Taking advantage of the thousands and thousands of fans who have descended in Las Vegas over the past few days, AEW has purchased several advertising spots inside the city’s Harry Reid International Airport.
While there’s enough WWE advertising around in the airport, including replica titles and WrestleMania signs, AEW’s marketing team scored some points after they booked the billboards in the arrivals area on each luggage carousel, ensuring that fans waiting patiently to pick up their luggage see their ads.
The advertising promotes Dynamite, and there’s also a video airing on other large displays around the terminals promoting the Wednesday night show.

Bret “Hit Man” Hart will make history tonight at the Hall of Fame as he becomes the only individual to be inducted into the WWE HOF on three separate occasions.
While there are a couple of two-time Hall of Famers, the popular former WWE champion is so far the only one with three under his belt, or in this case, rings on his fingers.
Hart was inducted individually in the class of 2006 by Steve Austin himself, who he will be sharing the stage with tonight as part of the Immortal Moment induction. In 2019, Hart returned on the HOF stage as he was inducted as part of The Hart Foundation with his brother-in-law, the late Jim Neidhart. His niece Natalya did the honors that night.
With this HOF induction, Steve Austin also becomes a two-time Hall of Famer after he was inducted individually by Vince McMahon in 2009.
The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will be held tonight, very late, at the BleauLive Theater inside the Fontainebleau hotel and casino in Las Vegas.
Five inductees make up the class of 2025, with Paul “Triple H” Levesque headlining. Joining him are Lex Luger, The Natural Disasters, Michelle McCool, and Steve Austin and Bret Hart as the first in the Immortal Moment wing.
Shawn Michaels will be inducting Triple H, Diamond Dallas Page is inducting Lex Luger, The Undertaker is inducting his wife Michelle McCool, CM Punk is inducting Steve Austin and Bret Hart, and no one has been announced yet on who will be inducting the Natural Disasters.
WWE will also honor Kamala, Dory Funk Jr., and Ivan Koloff as the Legacy inductees.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will air at 1AM ET, technically on Saturday morning, and 10PM PT in Las Vegas. It airs on Peacock in the United States and on the WWE YouTube channel everywhere else. Netflix will not be airing the Hall of Fame.
The WrestleMania After Dark parties kicked off yesterday with the launch at the LIV Nightclub inside the beautiful Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
A welcome dinner for ticket guests featured a gourmet dinner curated by Groot Hospitality’s Komodo, with signature Southeast Asian-inspired dishes like American wagyu tenderloin, peking duck, wagyu beef sliders, plank roasted salmon, sushi rolls, assorted desserts, and more — all accompanied by an open bar with premium spirits, wine, beer, and more.
Helping things get started were WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio and former 14-time women’s champion Charlotte Flair, who spent a considerable amount of time talking to the press on the red carpet before entering the event.
Asked about the confrontation with Tiffany Stratton on Smackdown which happened a few weeks ago where both went off script with personal insults, Flair said, “I didn’t love what happened, but it happened. It makes it more real. I think people are more invested now and if that’s what it took…then I’m game.”
DJ Valentino Khan took center stage later in the night and Mysterio, Flair, and Bianca Belair all showed up on stage to entertain the fans with plenty of drinks flowing, loud music, and visual effects.
The parties continue throughout the weekend, with tonight’s guests Bron Breakker and Liv Morgan while Metro Boomin and DJ Irie will be handling the music.
WrestleMania After Dark is presented along with Medium Rare and tickets are available at wrestlemaniaafterdark.com.
The second night of the WWE ID Championship tournaments continues today with Future Stars of Wrestling.
Six tournament matches will take place including Ice Williams vs Brad Baylor, Marcus Mathers vs Jackson Drake, Sean Legacy vs Ricky Smokes, Aaron Rourke vs Sam Holloway, Cappuccino Jones vs It’s Gal, and Jordan Oasis vs Aaron Roberts.
One more match is also advertised with Freedom Ramsey vs Young Prodigy Bodhi plus others to be announced with Zara Zakher, Zayda Steel, Brittnie Brooks and more.
The show will take place at the FSW Arena at 8:30PM PT / 11:30PM ET and airs on Triller TV.
The final stop before WrestleMania 41 takes place tonight live on USA Network as Smackdown comes to Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.
Former 16-time WWE champion John Cena will be making his Smackdown return and his first one this year, appearing live and in person on the show as he goes for the record-breaking 17th world title this Sunday against Cody Rhodes. Rhodes is, of course, also set to appear tonight on the show.
The Street Profits will be defending the WWE Tag Team titles against Motor City Machine Guns and the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal also takes place on the broadcast.
This and much more live on USA Network starting at 8PM ET or else on Netflix internationally.
