It’s still unclear how long Gable will be out of action for at this point.

His alter ego, El Grande Americano, appeared on Raw as well on Monday in a backstage segment with American Made, but this time it was Ludwig Kaiser donning the mask and costume.

First three matches or NXT’s Great American Bash 2025 announced

The first three matches for the NXT Great American Bash premium live event were announced last night on NXT.

In the main event of the show, NXT champion Oba Femi will defend his title against Yoshiki Inamura. Inamura won a number one contender’s match on last night’s episode, defeating Jasper Troy.

The NXT Women’s champion Jacy Jayne will team up with fellow Fatal Influence member Fallon Henley as they take on Jordynne Grace and NXT’s newest arrival, Blake Monroe. Monroe saved Grace in the final segment of the show last night after Grace was attacked by Fatal Influence.

Also, NXT Women’s North American champion Sol Ruca puts her title on the line against Izzi Dame. Dame pinned Ruca yesterday in a tag match and earned a title shot in the process.

Plus, the contract signing for the TNA World title match at Slammiversary will also take place at the Great American Bash with champion Trick Williams, Joe Hendry, and Mike Santana all in the house.

NXT Great American Bash takes place on Saturday, July 12 from Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia.

Jey Uso drops Cody’s birthday cake in the ring after Smackdown tapings!

After Smackdown finished taping yesterday, Cody Rhodes was given a birthday cake to celebrate his 40th birthday in front of the crowd.

Jey Uso came out to celebrate with his former tag team partner and the two had fun in the ring…until Uso held up the cake and dropped it!

With the crowd laughing, Uso ran around to the corner towards Rhodes, who couldn’t stop laughing himself at what just happened. The cake, miraculously, did not disintegrate and kept its form, with Uso showing Cody that it’s still intact.

Cody then picked the cake up and Uso said he deserved to have the cake shoved in his face. Cody teased it but instead he shoved the cake in his own face!

Mike Santana added to TNA World title match at Slammiversary

The TNA World title match at Slammiversary has been turned into a three-way match as Mike Santana was added to the bout.

The match was originally a one-on-one between champion Trick Williams and former champion Joe Hendry.

Santana, who already had a title shot against Williams on NXT, demanded to be added to the mix last week on Impact and yesterday night, TNA’s Director of Authority Santino Marella gave the okay to his request.

“I’ve worked my entire adult life for opportunities like this… FIRST EVER PUERTO RICAN TNA WORLD CHAMPION sounds pretty badass to me,” Santana wrote on X after the announcement.

Balor and McDonagh win the WWE World Tag Team titles on Raw

Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day are WWE World Tag Team champions once again after last night they defeated The New Day.

The ending came after McDonagh performed a moonsault on Xavier Woods and Finn Balor followed through with his Coup de Grace finisher for the win.

This is their second run with the titles after they won them the first time last year defeating Awesome Truth. The New Day won the titles at WrestleMania 41 and their reign came to an end after just 72 days.

This win brings more gold to The Judgment Day, with Dom Mysterio the Intercontinental champion and Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions.

Rollins vs Knight announced for Saturday Night’s Main Event

Saturday Night's Main Event

The second match for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event set for July 12 was made official last night on Raw.

It will be Seth Rollins taking on LA Knight from Smackdown in a one-on-one match after Knight made his presence felt yesterday after he attacked Rollins.

The two have been going at it for a few weeks and Knight showed up on Raw to take out Rollins following a segment which also included Gunther and CM Punk. A furious Punk, who was attacked by Rollins’ crew at Night of Champions, was not happy to see LA Knight involved but Knight said if Punk wants Rollins, he can have him six days a week but at Saturday Night’s Main Event, he is dealing with Rollins himself.

The only other match announced so far is Gunther defending the World Heavyweight title against Goldberg in Goldberg’s final match.

Three matches added to Evolution 2025

Evolution 2025

The Evolution 2025 premium live event card has started to take shape with three new matches announced last night on Raw.

The WWE Women’s World title will be on the line after Rhea Ripley challenged Iyo Sky at the start of Raw. The Japanese champion swiftly accepted Ripley’s challenge.

Raw and Smackdown General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis announced a battle royal where the winner of the match will earn a title shot at the Clash In Paris show set for late August in France. No number of participants or any entries have been announced yet.

Also, Roxanne Perez has joined Raquel Rodriguez as the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions and the two will put their gold on the line as they defend against three other teams – one from Raw, one from Smackdown, and one from NXT.

These three matches join Jacy Jane vs Jordynne Grace for the NXT Women’s title.

Ryback jumps to CM Punk’s defense following publication of online “hit piece”

Former WWE Superstar Ryback, who is very, very critical of both CM Punk and WWE, jumped to Punk’s defense today after Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics published a long editorial criticizing Punk for going to Saudi Arabia.

Thurston, who every year writes “hit pieces” against WWE for their long-term deal with the Kingdom, dedicated the 2025 column solely on attacking Punk.

“I’ve had my issues with Punk, but I don’t see him as a sellout. He returned to do what he loves and to make money — much like you’re doing by writing critical think pieces about others for clicks,” Ryback wrote in response to Thurston’s writing.

“WWE is a global business, and working at that level means navigating complex deals, personal beliefs, and public perception. His apology wasn’t about abandoning values — it was about how he expressed them publicly in ways that hurt professional relationships,” he continued.

Punk was very critical of WWE’s deal with Saudi as well in the past and was booed at the Night of Champions kickoff show. He then apologized to the fans for what he wrote in 2020 after someone from the crowd asked him to apologize. Punk was then loudly cheered at the event, with the fans singing along to his theme and supporting him throughout the match against John Cena.

Raw

Monday Night Raw tonight will air live at 6PM ET on Netflix rather than the usual 8PM ET start time as WWE will also tape Smackdown following Raw due to the 4th of July holiday this Friday.

The PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh will host the broadcast today which will kick off with an appearance from Rhea Ripley.

Matches announced for the show include Sami Zayn and Penta vs Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, The New Day vs The Judgment Day for the WWE World Tag Team titles, and Rusev vs Sheamus.

Roxanne Perez expected to replace Liv Morgan as WWE Women’s Tag Team champion

Roxanne Perez is expected to become one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions, replacing Liv Morgan who is out injured for months due to a dislocated shoulder.

Rather than vacating the titles yet again, the company is throwing Perez into the mix after her latest interactions with The Judgment Day.

The WWE Women’s Tag Team titles have been vacated multiple times over the years due to injuries and replacing one with another is not new: Naomi replaced Jade Cargill in the team with Bianca Belair when Belair and Cargill were champions and Cargill was taken out of action.

Things will probably get more clearer tonight after Raw as there are supposed to be a couple of announcements regarding Evolution.

Liv Morgan’s stalker indicted, faces one count of interstate domestic violence

The Independent newspaper is reporting that a Canadian who stalked WWE Superstar Liv Morgan and attempted to break into her Florida home is facing up to five years in prison.

The man, Shawn Chan of Scarborough, Ontario, flew from Toronto to Orlando on May 26, telling U.S. Customs officials that he was staying at the WWE Performance Center.

But the 41-year-old man found out where Morgan lived and went to her house and tried to break in according to security footage pulled from her home.

He was also in possession of an Sig Sauer MCX .177 air rifle, a weapon which can fire metal pellets up to 600 feet per second and was seen sitting on her front porch.

After two hours of waiting with no success, Chan left a note for Morgan, writing, “I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more… Yea, I just wanted to let you know that I was here.”

The man was recognized outside the WWE Performance Center on June 3 and security were alerted of his presence. WWE called in law enforcement officials who then came in to arrest him.

Chan was indicted on Wednesday and remains at the Pasco County Detention Center. He will appear in Orlando federal court on July 18 for arraignment on one count of interstate domestic violence.

Rhea Ripley talks rise in WWE, Dom Mysterio, WrestleMania, and more

Rhea Ripley sat down with Chris Van Vliet to discuss her rise in WWE, working with Dominik Mysterio and being called “Mami”, intergender spots and being compared to Chyna, her favorite WrestleMania moment, her viral stinkface spot with Nia Jax at a house show, an unwanted fan visit to her house, how she came up with the Riptide as her finisher, overcoming anxiety, her husband Buddy Matthews and more!

On the origin of her Rhea Ripley name:

“Oh man, this is a long time ago. I really like the name Isla. I love the name Isla. And that was one that I didn’t actually pull from anything, but it was Isla Radke, because at that time, I really loved Falling in Reverse and Ronnie Radke. He’s the main singer, so I loved his last name, just because it was so different. You don’t really hear Radke, especially not in Australia. I don’t know about America, but I liked that one. And then there was something Ashby. I can’t remember what the start of that one was. It was something Ashby. And [Alan] Ashby was the guitarist for Of Mice and Men. And then Rhea Ripley came from, Rhea is a Goddess’s name. And I was like, she’s cool. I like that. And then Ripley came from Alien [Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver]. She was a badass, and I was like, I want to be like that. I want to be a badass. They just mesh so well together with the RR, it just always works out. I mean, you see Roman Reigns, Ronda Rousey, Ruby Riott, Raquel Rodriguez. I don’t know what it is, it just works. But yeah, Rhea Ripley just stuck, and we were getting ready for the first Mae Young Classic, and I think it was Bloom, I believe, just walked past and he goes, ‘Rhea Ripley.’ I go ‘I guess so?’ I got no choice. I sent you my five names. You guys pick one.”

On being compared to Chyna:

“I love them. I really do love them. I think she was such a unique being in this industry, and she really did open up so much for women, especially intergender wise, and just like being part of DX and all of that. She’s done so much incredible stuff, and she’s really someone that I look up to, especially being different, being bigger and bulkier and just having a different build to a lot of the women, she’s someone that I really do look up to. So I’m glad that I get the comparisons, but at the same time, I want to be the first Rhea Ripley. I love that the whole storyline with Dom, him being Eddie, me being Chyna, it kind of just flowed. And a lot of the stuff that we did, we didn’t actually mean to match up with stuff that they did. It just kind of worked out that way. Even mannerisms, it just came so naturally that that would be what we would do. And we did it, we’d come back and then on Twitter, people would have comparisons of us doing it next to Chyna and Eddie doing the exact same thing and we’re like, wow, we didn’t even mean to do that. So, I love that there’s that comparison, but at the same time, I want to be like the first Rhea Ripley.”

On deciding on the Riptide as a finisher:

“My finish from the first Mae Young, I was doing that for a hot minute, and I was like this is sh*t. It doesn’t look impactful. It doesn’t look good if people don’t help me, I can’t do it myself. Because, literally, if they’re a little bit taller, I can’t pick them up very high. So I was like, I need to work on something. I went to the PC, Shane Haste was there and he’s like, I’ll help you work on something. So him, me and Tegan Nox went into this squishy ring that we had, it was like a padded ring where you could do high flying stuff to practice. It’s just a nice landing, instead of landing on the normal mat, which sucks when you’re learning.

He was throwing out random moves and then we got onto the pump handle slam. And I was like, that’s kind of cool, I like that one. I’d watch the video a little bit to see how it was performed, looks like it could be really impactful. So I did it with Tegan in the squishy ring for the first time. I said I like that. I think I’m gonna stick with this. It was at the time where everyone’s trying to find a finishing move, and if you’re not on TV, you’ve got to keep your stuff hidden, because people will steal it. So it was like, I hit it a couple of times, and I was like, Okay, I think it’s good. Filmed it, had it on camera, and then I hid it away until the second Mae Young Classic. I hid it away for so long, and I was like, I can’t let anyone see this move, because someone’s going to do it on TV before me, and I can’t get booked to save my life. I had to wait all the way to the second Mae Young Classic, where I finally pulled it out and hit it.”

On whether anything hurts due to wrestling:

“Normally my lower back, especially lately, I don’t know what’s been going on. I think it actually started from the match I had with Raquel in NXT, where she gave me the back body drop onto the announce table, but we undershot it and I hit the very edge of the table, like right on my lower back. After that, my lower back was never the same. But I mean, I do whatever I can to try and make it better. I have a masseuse, Matthew, come over and he works on it. He helps stretch me out, and puts my hips back in line pretty much, and just fixes all that. And thank God for him that he comes over to help. Because sometimes it gets really bad. I didn’t think that I would be able to wrestle at WrestleMania 41.”

On possibly missing Mania 41:

“WrestleMania 41, I didn’t think I was going to be able to compete because my back was so bad leading up to it. The two nights beforehand, I got [my masseuse] Matthew to come to my room, and he worked on me the night before Hall of Fame and the night of Hall of Fame. I was like, I need you to make sure I can walk tomorrow. And he worked on me those two nights, and it loosened completely just in time for the match. Then after the match, it was okay, and then, slowly, because I’ve been wrestling more, it just slowly tightens up, but that’s because I just don’t stretch on my own, so that’s my fault as well. It gets really bad. I don’t know if it’s a sciatic thing or whatnot, or just my body in itself, the shape of my body and how I’m put together. I don’t know what’s going on, but it’s something. But it does go down, and it definitely revs up sometimes, and sometimes it’s just bearable.”

Blake Monroe makes NXT in-ring debut at house show

Blake Monroe made her NXT in-ring debut during the weekend at a non-televised live event in Fort Pierce, Florida.

This was her first match since March 9 where she lost the Hollywood Ending match against Toni Storm at AEW Revolution.

Monroe, the artist formerly known as Mariah May, defeated Lainey Reid at the NXT event.

“I’m baaaaaack. Thank you Fort Pierce for the warm welcome, I would kiss every one of you if I could,” she wrote on X.

When a “fan” replied that there’s “only 20 people there” and she could kiss all of them, Monroe replied saying there were actually 750+ which is a new record for the venue.
