Ring Boys lawsuit against WWE to go ahead with some changes

The Ringboys lawsuit which was filed against WWE, Vince and Linda McMahon, and other defendants will continue with some changes according to new court documents unveiled by Wrestlenomics.

Judge James Bredar of the U.S. District Court in Maryland ruled that there should be a separation on who the plaintiffs can proceed to claim against and one of the victims in the case, identified only as John Doe 7, has been dropped after his claims were dismissed without prejudice by the judge.

All the accused argued to throw the case out after more John Doe’s came forward with more allegations earlier this year. There are a total of eight plaintiffs in the case, but now down to seven after John Doe 7 dropped.

The lawsuit was originally filed in October 2024 alleging that underage boys who were hired by the organization’s ringside announcer and ring crew chief Melvin Phillips Jr. to assist with errands and other tasks in preparation for WWE’s wrestling shows were groomed, exploited, and sexually abused by Phillips, Pat Patterson, and others.

Online casino myths debunked: what new players should know

Introduction

If you’ve ever hesitated to try your luck at an online casino, chances are you’ve heard one of the many myths floating around the internet. “They’re all rigged”, “No one actually wins”, “You have to bet big to win big” — sound familiar? These myths can be intimidating, especially if you’re just starting out.

The truth is, most of these beliefs are outdated, exaggerated, or just flat-out wrong. In this article, we’re pulling back the curtain on the most common online casino myths —and giving you the facts you actually need to play smart, stay safe, and have fun. Whether you’re a curious beginner or someone looking to try again with confidence, let’s clear up the confusion.

Myth #1: Online Casinos Are Rigged

One of the most popular—and persistent—myths is that all online casinos are rigged to make players lose. While it’s true that not every casino is trustworthy, reputable online casinos operate under strict licensing rules and use certified Random Number Generators (RNGs) to ensure fairness.

Licensed casinos are regularly audited by third-party agencies like eCOGRA or iTech Labs. These organizations test game algorithms to make sure they provide fair and random outcomes. That means the outcome of each spin, card, or dice roll is completely independent and not manipulated by the casino.

The key? Play only on licensed and regulated platforms. If you’re unsure where to start, there are expert-vetted lists of online casinos Australia trusts, which we’ll mention further below.

Myth #2: No One Really Wins

Have you ever heard someone say, “Online casinos are just black holes—you’ll never actually win”? While it’s true that casinos are a business and have a house edge, it’s a myth that nobody wins. In fact, real players win every day —some even hit life-changing jackpots.

It all comes down to playing the right games, understanding how odds work, and managing your bankroll wisely. Slots, blackjack, roulette—all of these games have winners, especially if you know how to play strategically. Of course, not everyone wins big every time, but claiming that no one ever wins is simply false.

Myth #3: You Need to Spend Big to Win

Another myth that scares off new players is the belief that only high-rollers ever see decent returns. That’s not true. Many online casinos offer low minimum bets —as low as $0.10 per spin—and some even offer progressive jackpots triggered on small wagers.

Winning isn’t always about betting big. It’s about knowing where and how to play. There are plenty of stories of players winning thousands from small initial deposits. What matters most is playing responsibly and choosing games with high RTP (Return to Player) percentages.

Myth #4: Online Casinos Can’t Be Trusted With Personal Info

Data security is a huge concern for everyone—and rightly so. But assuming all online casinos are data thieves is unfair. The most trusted casinos use top-level SSL encryption (the same technology used by banks) to protect your personal and financial information.

Look for the padlock symbol in the browser bar and check the site’s privacy policy and security certifications. If you stick to well-reviewed, regulated sites, your data is just as safe as any other online platform.

Myth #5: All Casino Games Are Pure Luck

Many games are based on luck, but not all. Blackjack, poker, and video poker involve skill, strategy, and decision-making. Knowing when to hit, stand, fold, or raise can dramatically affect your chances. Even with slots, picking high RTP games with the right volatility level can improve your odds over time.

The bottom line: don’t fall for the “luck only” myth. Learning the game mechanics gives you a better edge and a more enjoyable experience.

Myth #6: Casino Bonuses Are Always a Scam

This myth exists because of confusion around wagering requirements. Yes, some bonuses come with strings attached, but that doesn’t mean all of them are a scam. In fact, many bonuses provide a great way to explore a casino without risking too much of your own money.

The trick is to read the bonus terms carefully. Look for low wagering requirements (under 30x), clear game restrictions, and transparent rules. When used wisely, bonuses can stretch your budget and give you extra chances to win.

Myth #7: Mobile Casino Games Are Lower Quality

This myth might’ve been true years ago—but not anymore. Today’s mobile casinos offer seamless, full-featured gaming experiences that match (or even exceed) what you’ll find on desktop. HTML5 technology ensures that games are optimized for smaller screens, touch controls, and fast loading times.

You can play everything from pokies to live dealer games directly from your phone or tablet. No downloads necessary, just log in and play.

Exclusive Insight: Real Casino Rankings from Aussie Players

While researching this topic, we came across an insightful piece by Make Me Gorgeous founder DONALD “DONNIE” HORN , who recently completed a tour across Australia to connect with real players, from casual newcomers to seasoned high rollers. During his journey, Donnie visited local communities, casino lounges, and gaming hotspots to gather first-hand feedback on which platforms Australians trust the most.

The result? A curated list of the best online casinos for real money in Australia—platforms that offer fair play, solid bonuses, and a user-friendly experience for every type of gambler. His recommendations go beyond flashy marketing, highlighting casinos that truly deliver value to players on every level.

So, Should You Try Online Casinos?

If these myths have held you back from exploring online gambling, it’s time to see the truth: online casinos can be safe, fair, and fun —if you choose wisely. Don’t rely on hearsay or horror stories from 2005. Modern online casinos have evolved with technology, transparency, and player-first experiences.

Start small, do your research, use bonuses wisely, and most importantly—gamble for entertainment, not pressure. If you treat online gaming like a fun night out rather than a get-rich-quick scheme, you’ll enjoy it a whole lot more.

Conclusion

Myths and misinformation can cloud your judgment, especially when stepping into something new like online gambling. But knowledge is power. Now that you know what’s real and what’s just rumor, you’re in a much better position to explore the world of online casinos with confidence.

Whether you’re playing for fun or aiming for that big win, always stay informed, stay safe, and most of all—enjoy the game.

TKO COO Mark Shapiro says they are working on a non-exclusive deal for WWE video library

WWE logo

TKO Chief Operating Officer Mark Shapiro said that they are currently in negotiations for a non-exclusive deal for the WWE video library, which will be homeless at the end of this year.

Shapiro made the comments at the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference held in New York.

The TKO COO added that they will have something to announce in Q1 2026, which starts January 1. The WWE video library, currently on Peacock, will be leaving the streaming service on December 30 apart from Smackdown and NXT premium live events.

Speaking of NXT PLEs, the media rights for those expire in March 2026 and Shapiro added that they want to be “smart and strategic” and “deliberate and thoughtful” about them, saying that they’re in no rush.

There are rumors that the WWE video library content will land on YouTube for the time being. Both ESPN and Netflix are also interested in hosting the thousands of hours of content that WWE has.

The WWE video library, or the WWE Network as it was known, moved to Peacock in 2021 in a five-year $1 billion deal.

John Cena talks historic 17th title win, farewell tour, Lesnar, and more in interview

John Cena sat down with Chris Van Vliet at West Coast Creative Studio in Hollywood, California to discuss the last match of his legendary career, planning his Farewell Tour for 3 years, turning heel and the criticism from fans, what winning a 17th WWE Championship meant to him, becoming the Intercontinental Champion, why his match with Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza was so short, his love letter to wrestling with his match against AJ Styles, wrestling Dominik Mysterio in 3 of his last 4 matches, who he feels is his wrestling soulmate, and more!

How much planning went into the schedule?

“The whole thing was like 3 years. So by then [2022], I knew I had a lot of opportunities outside of WWE, and those are very difficult to balance, not just being everywhere like the first half of this year for the tour, I was flying back and forth to Budapest and Morocco, making PLE dates. I left Intuit the day I announced, Jan 6, I left to land in Budapest to shoot the next day. That’s a scheduling. The biggest hurdle to climb is insurance, and insurance is super pricey. Every date, the cost goes up, whether it be $500,000, $1,000,000.”

Because you might get hurt?

“Because you’re doing a picture, and you’re being like, ‘Hey, I have Saturday off.’ That’s the thing a lot of folks don’t understand. It’s like, ‘But you have the weekends off, you can do this. Or they can shoot Tuesday through Saturday if they want. You can do every Monday…’ You’re right, but the liability of, hey, I’m doing this action movie, and then I’m gonna go do, albeit choreographed action, but with a high variable that I could get hurt. If I get hurt, I can’t come back to shoot. Or I get my nose broke, or if I get a black eye or something, we’ve already captured these moments on camera, and now I’ve got to stop and wait for the thing to heal before I can shoot another frame. So that’s something that I had to learn the hard way of like, my schedule is open. I can do it. It’s an insurance thing, and this is what it costs. So trying to get a studio to leverage that to let you go play stunt man is impossible. So you got to a lot of times you got to come out of pocket, and that’s a tough balance.”

What did winning that 17th championship mean to you?

“I want to choose my words carefully. I have been apprehensive for quite some time for that, because I love Ric, super mentor to me, always been a great guy to me, and I love him. I meant what I said in the press conference at Rumble, and this is another thing, I never wasted a second. We want you to do the press conference. How do I make these moments meaningful? I want to win 17 so I can shake the hand of the performer that wins 18. So what it meant to me, personally, was, ‘Hey, young uns, one of them is going to be you. You better get working, because I don’t want to be in the ground when 18 happens.’ I want to shake somebody’s hand. And something that’s impossible is now possible. So that’s what it means to me, hopefully, by my actions, this is possible. Holy hell, this guy wants to shake my hand when I pass it, and I can’t wait to do that.”

That intro for AJ Styles was great:

“I just wanted to do something nice for my guy. I didn’t even show Alicia [Taylor] until I handed her the paper. You don’t get those moments unless you get the sh*t beat up. I wanted to do something special. I went about it the wrong way. I went into business for myself. I should have gotten permission to do that, and I would have gotten permission to do that, but I told no one about it, because I wanted to do something special, and in doing so, the people running the show felt surprised, and that’s not a position I ever want to put them in because they award me such creative liberty.”

I can’t imagine anyone had a problem with it?

“We’re all trying to make these moments special, and we’re all on the same team, and it shouldn’t be me doing something outside that realm. If I tell my teammates, ‘Hey, let’s do it.’ I can keep it from AJ, I can keep it from Alicia, but if I tell my teammates who are crafting this show, maybe they make it look better. The first thing I did was thank AJ, the second thing I did was pull a few creative individuals aside and say, ‘I’m sorry. That will never happen again. I know where I f*cked up. I’m so sorry, and I went into business for myself. That’s not me. I hope you look at my body of work, and all the times I’ve asked for permission, and this is the one time I ask for forgiveness.’ It got the best of me, but I wanted to do something nice for AJ.”

That match was so much fun:

“I just want to get that ball rolling. All right, ‘They’re wasting the heel turn at WrestleMania!’ And they’re like, Oh, the Randy thing. And then the Punk, and then Cody, and then Logan in Paris was even kind of dope. And then you go to Brock, what? What are they gonna do next? And then you get the payoff, and we look at them all in individual moments, but it’s why, until now, I have refused to give anyone any information about any of this, because I don’t want to lead the witness. The last one is going to be the last one. We have told the story, everybody knows the drill, a tournament to decide, this is going to be it. I want the last one. I want people to look at the road ahead, 2026 and beyond. I want them to take away some Superstar’s name from the 13th. But now we can reflect on the year. We get caught up in these moments, thinking that’s all you get and not realizing that this is the commercial spot before the reveal, before the big finish. We’ve just had to digest it as it has been a year storyline, and reflecting back on it, I get excited and again, I don’t feel I could have given anything else. So I’m very happy with how it’s gone so far.”

Raw views for 12/01/2025

Raw

For the second straight week, Raw failed to crack the Netflix Top 10 global chart for the December 1 episode, with its figures for the week unknown until Netflix releases its full data at the end of the year.

Several episodes of The Stranger Things occupied the chart and the #10 spot went to the Matt Rife Christmas special which had 4,600,000 viewers, way more than a regular episode of Raw pulls.

Raw was in the top 10 in only nine countries for this episode, charting in Bolivia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Nicaragua, Trinidad and Tobago, and United States.
