WWE hits new record for Network subscriptions during Mania week

The WWE Network has reached a record-breaking 2.12 million subscribers coming off a successful WrestleMania promotion. The number was announced today in a conference call with investors.

The Network currently has 1,808,000 paid subscribers, with the rest – 316,000 – on a free trial subscription for a total of 2,124,000 worldwide subscribers. That is up 9% when compared to WrestleMania 33.

Also, WWE Network subscribers viewed 25.2 million hours during WrestleMania week or 14 hours per subscriber during the week. This compares to 22.5 million hours last year, a 12% year-over-year increase.

WWE is predicting that 2018 will be the most profitable in the company’s history.

Brock Lesnar re-signs with WWE

In an unexpected move that has continued the swerve of events that happened during the weekend, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon announced today that Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE. The news was sent to the newswire via a press release.

Lesnar had made it very clear that he would be pursuing a UFC career after WrestleMania and that might still happen depending on the type of agreement the two have reached. Lesnar retained the Universal title last night in a match that was widely expected to go the other way.

Dana White said this weekend that Lesnar is also under a UFC deal as he signed a multi-fight deal with the company when he returned to UFC 200…while also under a WWE contract.

Brock Lesnar’s next appearance is scheduled for the Greatest Royal Rumble event, where he will compete against Roman Reigns in a steel cage match for the Universal Title at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27, at 7PM local time.

No details where given as to how long the new deal is for but a few months ago it was revealed that WWE can retain Lesnar’s services until at least August. Or perhaps it’s only till the Greatest Royal Rumble event!

Identity of new Raw Tag Team champion Nicholas

One of the most bizarre segments at a WrestleMania took place last night during the Raw Tag Team titles match.

The story for the past couple of weeks was that Braun Strowman needed to find a partner to be able to wrestle for the Tag Team titles and yesterday, he found one. No, it wasn’t a current or former WWE Superstar, but a “random” kid from the crowd.

Strowman went scouting the stadium before the match started and picked Nicholas, a 10 or 11-year-old kid out of the 78,000 fans who packed the Superdome. Nicholas was over with the crowd instantly, a sigh of relief for everyone involved considering wrestling fans can be pretty brutal at times.

Chants of “Nicholas” echoed through the Superdome and Strowman even tagged him in to a large pop from the crowd. Unfortunately, Nicholas was scared and tagged Strowman in a few seconds later.

But it was all good for Strowman and Nicholas as Strowman got the win and the titles for the team.

Nicholas, in fact, was not a random member of the WWE Universe as it was made out to be. He is the son of WWE referee John Cone, who not-so-coincidentally was also the referee of the match.

It will be interesting to see how WWE advances this storyline tonight on Raw considering, you know, the kid has school and can’t defend the title every week!

Ronda Rousey, Dana White talk about the WrestleMania experience

As you can probably imagine, Ronda Rousey is one happy girl following a very successful in-ring debut last night at WrestleMania.

Speaking to ESPN after the show, Rousey said that she didn’t want it to end and unlike her UFC fights where she couldn’t wait to be victorious, she was enjoying her time in front of the biggest crowd she’s ever performed in front of.

Rousey also said she owed the WWE fans an apology because she thought they would boo her out of the building. “They really accepted me from day one. Hopefully, I satisfied a lot of skeptics tonight. I underestimated how kind the WWE Universe would be, Rousey said.

Rousey said she’s also grateful for her last two UFC loses, a still-sore subject to talk about.

“I thought I would never say this, but I’m so happy I lost those fights because it led me here,” Rousey said. “This is so worth it. I wish I could say it was worth 100 losses, but it’s about two. Everything really does happen for a reason.”

She also describes how she feels comfortable backstage because the way everyone else has treated her so far. “You ever go somewhere for the first time and it’s like coming home or somewhere you’ve been before? It feels more familiar than it should.”

Meanwhile, her former UFC boss Dana White was ecstatic about her debut last night. It was very important for him to support her so he flew to New Orleans from Brooklyn just hours after UFC 223 to attend his first WWE event since he was a kid.

“She accomplished everything she could at UFC,” White told ESPN. “She has a title defense record that still isn’t broken. The amazing fight last night with Rose and Joanna wouldn’t have been possible without Ronda kick-starting everything, and I could go on and on. She has always loved professional wrestling, and now she gets to have a blast being a part of it. She will be great at anything she sets her mind to doing. I thought she was incredible tonight.”

WrestleMania 34 grosses over $14 million in gate money

WrestleMania 34 broke the record for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome’s highest-grossing entertainment event. The show grossed $14.1 million, surpassing the venue’s previous record of $10.9 million set by WrestleMania 30 in 2014. WrestleMania 34 had a sold-out crowd of 78,133 fans from all 50 states and 67 countries.

“New Orleans was extremely proud to make WrestleMania Week part of our Tricentennial celebration,” New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu said. “It was so exciting to host WWE fans from around the world who traveled to experience the grandeur of WrestleMania and all that our beautiful city has to offer. Thank you to everyone who makes it possible to stage such an epic event.”

“WrestleMania’s return to New Orleans once again delivered record results,” WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events John Saboor said. “This would not have been possible without the tireless support of Mayor Landrieu and our Local Organizing Committee partners throughout New Orleans. We now look forward to a historic WrestleMania 35 celebration next year in New York and New Jersey.”

In terms of attendance, WrestleMania 34 currently sits in sixth place in overall attendance for the show, trailing behind WrestleMania 32, 3, 29, 23, and 28.

Both Royal Rumble winners fail to win title matches at WrestleMania

Both Royal Rumble winners failed in their quest to win their respective titles yesterday at WrestleMania.

Asuka was the first one to fall, losing to Charlotte Flair by tapping out to the Figure 8 leg lock in the first swerve of the night.

Shinsuke Nakamura got the big Superstar entrance and many thought he would win as well. But AJ Styles had other ideas and pinned Nakamura clean with the Styles Clash. Nakamura and Styles hugged it out afterward and when Nakamura presented Styles with the title, he low-blowed him and turned heel in another surprise.

Apart from Randy Orton who successfully defeated Bray Wyatt last year to win the title after winning the Royal Rumble, both Roman Reigns and Batista failed to take advantage of their #1 contender’s spot in the previous two WrestleManias after winning the Rumble.

Asuka’s streak ends after 915 days at WrestleMania 34

There’s certainly one thing about New Orleans and the Superdome: this place just does not like streaks.

Four years after Brock Lesnar ended The Undertaker’s impressive WrestleMania streak at WrestleMania XXX, it was Charlotte’s turn to end Asuka’s streak.

Ever since she arrived in WWE, Asuka has been undefeated in all competitions. She held the NXT Women’s title for a total of 523 days before she vacated it to move to the main roster. On the main roster, she proved that nobody was ready for Asuka, be it in mixed tag team matches, Royal Rumbles, or anything else in between.

But there was someone ready for Asuka. Charlotte Flair contributed to one of the many upsets of the night as she made the Empress of Tomorrow tap out to the Figure 8 leg lock, ending Asuka’s impressive streak at WrestleMania.

Her streak started on October 7, 2015, defeating Dana Brooke at NXT Takeover: Respect. It lasted a whooping 915 days – or 2 years, 6 months, and 2 days.

Ronda Rousey gets her dream WWE in-ring debut at WrestleMania

Ronda Rousey made her dream WWE in-ring debut last night at WrestleMania, getting the win for her team by making Stephanie McMahon submit to the arm bar.

The former UFC champ came out in a leather jacket and kilt in a tribute to Rowdy Roddy Piper. Ronda looked pretty good in the ring and did better than what many people expected and the fans certainly showed their appreciation.

It took quite a few minutes before Rousey got the hot tag and when she did, the crowd went ballistic. And so did she on McMahon. She even got to go one-on-one with Triple H and showing her incredible strength by lifting him up on her shoulders.

Needless to say, the Rousey debut lived up to the hype and then some. The crowd was on its feet for the majority of the match and gave Ronda a standing ovation after the match was over.

UFC President Dana White, who was smiling from ear to ear, was in attendance and was shown and acknowledged on camera rooting for Rousey after the match was over.

WrestleMania 34 pay-per-view report

New Orleans’ second WrestleMania in four years ended up being memorable – for all the reasons you expected going in, and one that you perhaps didn’t with a weird as all heck main event.

Dana White says Lesnar is under UFC contract, didn’t know he would be wrestling at WrestleMania

During the UFC 223 post-fight press conference yesterday, UFC President Dana White revealed that Brock Lesnar is still technically under a UFC contract because when he came back for UFC 200, he signed a multi-fight deal.

White failed to specify for how many fights Lesnar signed for and said he doesn’t remember the details of the contract but one thing is for sure, that the former UFC Heavyweight champion is going back to the Octagon and fulfill his contractual obligations.

White added that he would be flying to New Orleans for WrestleMania. When asked by Ariel Helwani if it’s for “Brock or for Ronda,” White said it’s for Ronda. White played dumb and said he didn’t know Lesnar is on the show. “I didn’t know Brock was in it until you said that,” White said. “Come on!” Helwani shot back. “I swear to God. I’ve been a little busy,” White added.

Questions still loom over Undertaker/Cena segment for WrestleMania

Never in WrestleMania history has there been a promotion for a match that ultimately did not happen.

But that might happen today at WrestleMania 34 as John Cena and The Undertaker might not have that match after all. The Undertaker never “officially” replied to John Cena’s request and after four weeks of hype and promos, WWE fans are still at a loss what will happen and how WWE will tackle this issue on the pay-per-view.

You would think that after four weeks, WWE has to deliver something tonight. While The Undertaker is in town for the show, the rumors going around is that him and Cena will only have a showdown and not an actual match. This would help set-up the match for a later date, possibly for next year’s WrestleMania although that is one dangerous scenario that has only happened once so far when The Rock challenged John Cena a year in advance.

Ever since The Undertaker started appearing at WrestleMania, he only missed two shows because of injury. These were WrestleMania 10 and 16. A “healthy” Undertaker always showed up for WrestleMania so you have to wonder if something happened in the meantime that might prevent him from entering the ring this year. And having one of the biggest stars of the company, John Cena, available but not in a match is also somewhat crazy when you think about it.

The match, although the possibility is not that high, might still happen tonight. Timing is one of the problems. There are already 10 matches on the main pay-per-view card and three on the Kickoff show. Adding another match on the main card will either stretch the show into its eighth hour or a lot of minutes will be deducted from several matches to make up for the slot.

The general feeling is that the match will not take place. The Undertaker will show up at the Superdome eventually, but in what capacity remains to be seen.

WrestleMania 34 live on PPV and WWE Network tonight

Live tonight from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, WWE presents its biggest pay-per-view of the year: WrestleMania 34. The full card is as follows:

WWE WrestleMania 34 Pick’em report with MagnumDA

Hey WO fans! It’s @TheMagnumDA LIVE from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Pick’em Crew (MagnumDA, Colin, Heel Turn Tom, and Tricky Don) will be attending WrestleMania XXXIV together at the SILV…SUPERDOME, brother! I was here four years ago for one of the greatest WrestleManias of all time (XXX), and I am really looking forward to today’s card. Also, I wanted to give a shoutout to both NXT and ROH for putting on fantastic shows last night. Unbelievable risks were taken in both ladder matches!

Real quick, here’s the scores for the 2018 Season:

Colin: 12 Pick’em Points
MagnumDA: 11 Pick’em Points
Tricky Don: 11 Pick’em Points
Heel Turn Tom: 10 Pick’em Points

ALRIGHT, LET’S GET TO THE PICKS! Only two matches have bonus points!

Pre-Show: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Tricky Don: I am going on a limb and will predict Hulk Hogan will return and win this battle royal, therefore going on to promote the Andre the Giant documentary for HBO. Hulkster, PLEASE write down “SUPERDOME” on your wrist tape for the post-victory speech.

Heel Turn Tom: This battle royal had so much promise but produced so little. They need a stipulation that the winner gets something more than a trophy that will probably really goes back to WWE Headquarters. With who I know entered now, I see Dolph Ziggler winning and actually doing something with the win and not Billy Gunn-ing the win. But WWE will probably give up on the Ziggler push too early.

MagnumDA: This is difficult to predict, because there’s so many different variables at play here. Could a legend or a big name return? Could a new star be on the horizon? Or…could it possibly be the craziest guy on the roster? Well, I guess I’ll go with the nutcase. Matt Hardy wins. MOWER OF LAWNS!

Colin: Whoever wins it, it ain’t gonna do thing for his career anyway. Matt Hardy sounds like a good choice to me.

Pre-Show: WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal

Tricky Don: Hard to believe Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch stole the show at WrestleMania 32 with Charlotte Flair. Fast forward Becky and Sasha are in the battle royal. Becky Lynch has the crowd behind her, so she will go down in the history books as the first ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal winner.

Heel Turn Tom: The second battle royal on the pre-show so Vince saves paying out WrestleMania bonuses. I am glad all the stars get a chance to shine. The first winner will be Becky Lynch. Will she get more from this win than any of the winners of the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

MagnumDA: I am going to pick Sasha Banks eliminating Bayley to win it all. This will kick-start a long feud that goes into the summer.

Colin: It’s a toss-up for me between Sasha Banks and Bayley. They have been getting the most screen time lately out of the rest not in the title picture. I bet this one Sasha gets it.

Pre-Show: Mustafa Ali vs. Cedric Alexander (Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Finals)

Tricky Don: This one goes out to Big Patt! This could steal the pre-show. Give me Cedric Alexander to win the Cruiserweight title.

Heel Turn Tom: I don’t like title matches on the pre-show and if Wikipedia is correct this is on the pre-show. The fast and high flying match will get the crowd that has made it into the arena cheering. Cedric Alexander will get the win and become the new Cruiserweight champ.

MagnumDA: I am going with Cedric Alexander to win the Cruiserweight title. He was the last guy to challenge Enzo for the title, so it makes sense that they head in this direction.

Colin: I’m not a massive fan of the Cruiserweight division to be quite honest. I don’t follow 205 Live either. Cedric Alexander gets the title.

United States Championship Match: Fatal 4 Way
Randy Orton (c) vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Rusev

Tricky Don: I think Orton will retain the belt, since I am predicting so many other title changes. Plus, he just won it at the last pay per view. Rusev will look strong, since he is a last-minute addition to the match, setting up the match RKO and Rusev at the next PPV. RKO out of nowhere for the victory.

Heel Turn Tom: Randy has gotten his run with the title. This match has too many people that could each put on a great singles match. I feel there will be a lot of title changes tonight and it starts here with Bobby Roode. Roode getting his title back.

MagnumDA: I always have the theory…that if a guy is added into a multi-person match at the last minute, there’s a reason for him to be in the match. Rusev could’ve easily been the pick for the Battle Royal, but since he’s in this match…and since it’s RUSEV DAY, I’m gonna pick the big Bulgarian.

Colin: Just like Nakamura’s theme…I’m really looking forward to hearing the GLORIOUS theme song here. And I hope the crowd goes all the way with it. Randy Orton to retain his title is my pick.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Triple Threat
The Miz (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor

Tricky Don: The Miz and Maryse just welcomed to this world his firstborn, so it seems only logical he will get a few weeks off. So now I have to pick between Rollins and Balor. No analysis here, but I have to go with the Demon King (Balor) for the win.

Heel Turn Tom: Speaking of still too many people in one match, but I am glad they were not thrown in the André battle royal. This may be the show stealer match of the night. All of these should be in the Universal hunt soon. But the Miz will get some time off to be with his child, so we need a new champ. The Elite will win and Finn will be celebrating his Intercontinental Championship with the Bálor Club.

MagnumDA: This was one of the best matches on Raw last year. I think they have another shot at tearing the house down. Give me The Miz to retain in a shocker, as many people are picking Balor to walk out with the title.

Colin: I wonder if Miz will get some time off to be with the baby. He’s on the way to break the record of the longest IC champ reign in total too. I don’t know about this one, I’m thinking The Miz retains here.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Cesaro & Sheamus (c) vs. Braun Strowman & ???

Bonus Point: Who’s the Mystery Partner?

Tricky Don: Bray Wyatt is the mystery partner, but The Bar retains.

Heel Turn Tom: The comedy show Braun Strowman will have to pick his partner and I am looking into the future and see Braun walking with Elias. This will definitely be the odd couple for upcoming shows. Braun and Elias will walk out Raw Tag Team Champions.

MagnumDA: Elias seems like a nice pick for this match, but he’s also in the Battle Royal. Hmm…eh, screw it. I’ll go with Braun and The Big Show..

Colin: For a mystery partner, I’ll pick Bray Wyatt. I don’t understand why Strowman is stuck in here. I mean, really? The most over guy in WWE right now and he’s doing this? Whatever. The Bar retains.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match (Smackdown Live): Triple Threat
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers

Tricky Don: I think The Usos retain in their first WrestleMania match.

Heel Turn Tom: While WWE has been pushing th Bludgeon Brothers like beasts, tonight they do not get their WrestleMania moment. The Usos win come in and out of this match as Smackdown Tag Team Champs and one of the few to retain tonight.

MagnumDA: I think the Bludgeon Brothers are about to ascend to the mountaintop. Harper and Rowan win the tag team titles.

Colin: The Usos’s first WrestleMania on the main card. Amazing to think about it. Best tag team in the biz right now. With probably the major titles all switching, some will retain, and I think The Usos will show why they’re the best.

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey vs. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon

Tricky Don: We will see some involvement with DX. The Rock will do a run-in, and Angle and Rousey will capture the victory.

Heel Turn Tom: We have not see Stephanie work in a long time and not sure what to expect out of Rousey. This match would have been better if the Rock was with Rhonda to get the pay off for Wrestlemania 31. Kurt and Triple H will do the heavy lifting in this match. I hope if Kurt looks good he gets one more good run. This match will finish with Rousey making Stephanie tap. Angle and Rousey win.

MagnumDA: I am very nervous about this match, but I know they are in good hands with Triple H. I think Ronda makes Steph tap, giving Rousey and Angle the victory.

Colin: I hope this match does NOT go last as some suggested. Yes, I’m looking forward to see how Ronda does in the ring, but I don’t want it to be the main event just yet. Angle/Rousey wins this one and I let you take a wild guess on who will get the pin and victory for their team…

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

Tricky Don: I feel this is all about Daniel Bryan, and at WrestleMania in New Orleans he defied the odds and beat HHH in the opening match, and then went on to beat Orton and Batista to win the gold. Bryan is unstoppable in New Orleans. I expect Shane to take one heck of a spot. Bryan/Shane all the way.

Heel Turn Tom: I am excited to see Daniel Bryan back. The crowd will be loud with Yes chants. Owens and Zayn will make Shane look good and protect Bryan. This may be the third best match of the night. To the end I see Shane beaten up and stretchered out of the match. Bryan plays the hero, makes the comeback and wins this tag match. The crowd goes crazy with the Yes chants. Bryan and Shane win.

MagnumDA: I could see Zayn and Owens coming back to Raw. I could also see a big-time swerve here. I’m going to go against the grain and pick Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Colin: I sense a turn here too. By who, I don’t know. Too early to turn DB heel, so maybe Shane? Either way, Zayn and Owens will get their job back. It would set up Bryan’s first feud with one of them. I know it sounds stupid having Bryan loses in his first match back in three years, but how will they explain Owens/Zayn coming back? Unless they move to Raw…

WWE Women’s Championship Match (Smackdown Live)
Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Asuka

Tricky Don: Asuka will win the title and will continue her undefeated streak to challenge Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania XXXV.

Heel Turn Tom: This will be the best women’s match of the night. These two will go back and forth. Asuka will be challenged like never before. We will see the figure eight and believe Flair will win, but Asuka makes the come back and wins the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

MagnumDA: This match should be fabulous. I think the streak continues. Asuka for the win, which will effectively put her on Smackdown. If Carmella even THINKS of cashing in, she will be annihilated by Asuka.

Colin: This is another no-brainer with Asuka winning. There’s no way for her unbeaten streak to end at WrestleMania on her first quest for the title. No way. There’s one woman who will break her streak: Ronda Rousey. Anyway, Asuka for the W.

WWE Women’s Championship Match (Raw)
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Nia Jax

Tricky Don: I am predicting Nia Jax to get the win and Alexa to get her comeuppance. Although I think the match will end in a count-out, and Alexa will leave the champion.

Heel Turn Tom: I like Alexa and think she has been great as the heel champ. I still think Nia is not used correctly. She is not constantly the monster. While I want to say the best performer will win, I do not see WWE having the bully win. I am sure there will be a “Be A Star” video before or after this match and Nia Jax will become the new Raw Women’s Champion.

MagnumDA: I keep thinking that Alexa Bliss is going to get squashed here, but somehow walk away with the title. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but give me Alexa.

Colin: Can we see two title changes? Hm, maybe. Will Carmella fit in somewhere? Maybe. Bliss has been escaping Nia Jax for a while and the only payoff for this one is for Jax to squash her. I can see a DQ as well here. Hell, I’m going on a limb and say it’s a DQ win for Nia.

WWE Championship Match
AJ Styles (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Tricky Don: I cannot wait for this match. It seems like forever since we have had a wrestler who has had the support of the crowd and has never won the heavyweight title before, in an attempt to win his first title on the grandest stage of them all. Nakamura wins the gold.

Heel Turn Tom: Finally the match the fans have been wanting to see. NJPW will shine in this match and people will be wanting other of their stars to headline WrestleMania. This will compete with the IC title match for the match of the night. Another title will change as Shinsuke will hit a Kinshasa out of nowhere for the 1-2-3. Fans cheer and confetti will fly.

MagnumDA: This is going to be an incredible bout. I have been waiting for this one since January 2016. The first match was an all-time classic, and this one could be too. Give me Shinsuke to become the first Japanese-born WWE Champion.

Colin: I hope this match goes on last because it deserves to go on last. If it doesn’t, I feel bad for whoever has to follow this one. Part of me wants AJ to win, and another part wants Nakamura to win. The only problem I see with Nakamura winning is his lack of mic skills in English. But I can’t wait for 70,000 to sing along to his theme. Nakamura gets it, new champion.

WWE Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns

Tricky Don: This time around they do not have a MITB holder to save the match. Nothing can derail Reigns, including steroid accusations, low ratings, and 75% of the crowd booing him. It will be fun to see the crowd reaction for this one. I predict Reigns to win, Reigns to turn heel, and Lesnar to tease a face turn…in case he re-signs.

Heel Turn Tom: I see Brock taking some time off and seeing if he is still suspended for the UFC steroid test. Vince will have his pet Roman win after getting rag dolled by German suplexes all match and hit a couple superman punches and a spear. Fans boo and confetti will fly for the new Universal champ.

MagnumDA: I only have two requests for this match…please go on first, and please last 2 minutes. As a Minneapolis native, I love Brock. That said, he deserves to get completely crushed in short order. Send him back to UFC a humiliated man. Roman destroys him to win the title.

Colin: Lesnar has been beating the shit out of Reigns for the past three weeks. If he does it again at WrestleMania and walks out as the champion, I will go to Bourbon Street naked. Vince’s other boy Roman will surely get this one and there’s no other alternative.

John Cena vs Undertaker –
Bonus Point: This match is worth two points, if it happens. If the match takes place, who’s your pick?

Tricky Don: Undertaker goes into mania as 23-2. I feel he will win this match and go on to 24-2.

Heel Turn Tom: Undertaker will have a few great moments and chants of “You still got it”. Taker will hit a chokeslam, but Cena will kick out. Next will be a last ride, but Cena kicks out. It will look like the AA for the win, but Undertaker will slide off and hit the tombstone. Undertaker wins.

MagnumDA: Could we see the return of the American Badass? I guess time will tell. I am still unsure how this is going to all go down, but it’s entirely possible that the match takes place. That said, if it goes down…give me Undertaker to finally put Cena in his place: Six feet under.

Colin: Undertaker wins.

That’s it from us LIVE in New Orleans! Have fun tonight, be safe, and enjoy WRESTLEMANIA!!!!!!

Current betting odds for WrestleMania 34

It’s a big day for wrestling betting today as WWE presents WrestleMania and as you know, there are a lot of matches on the card.

In the top two men’s title matches, Roman Reigns is the favorite at 1/6 while Brock Lesnar is at 7/2 to retain, which is no surprise considering everyone knows Lesnar is leaving WWE. The same odds are being presented for the WWE championship match, with Nakamura the favorite at 1/6 and Styles at 7/2.

When it comes to women’s titles, Nia Jax is favorite at 1/3 to win the match and probably the title as well while Alexa Bliss is at 9/4 to retain her Raw Women’s title. In the Smackdown Women’s title match, Asuka is at 1/8, the clear favorite to retain her streak, while Charlotte Flair’s odds are at 9/2 to retain the title.

The Tag Team titles see The Bludgeon Brothers as slight favorites in the Smackdown triple threat match with their odds at 5/6, while The Usos are at 13/8 to retain and The New Day at 4/1 to regain the titles. The challengers of the Raw Tag Team titles, Braun Strowman and his mystery partner, are also favorites at 4/11 while Sheamus and Cesaro are at 2/1 to retain.

It could be a happy Rusev Day at WrestleMania today as Rusev is 1/1 to win the United States title in the fatal 4-way match, with Orton close second at 6/4 to retain, Mahal at 7/1, and Roode in last place at 9/1. Finn Balor is also the favorite at 1/1 to win the Intercontinental title in the triple threat match, with The Miz at 2/1 to retain and Seth Rollins at 11/4. In the Cruiserweight title match during the Kickoff, Cedric Alexander is at 1/4 to win the title and Mustafa Ali is at 11/4.

The tag match between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is at even odds, with both teams at 5/6 to win with no clear prediction on this one yet. But there’s a clear favorite in the mixed tag team match as Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey are the overwhelming favorites at 1/9 to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon who are at 5/1.

And in the two battle royals, Sasha Banks is currently in pole position with odds at 6/4 to win the first-ever Women’s battle royal while Becky Lynch and Carmella are behind with 9/4 and 5/2 odds respectively. In the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, Matt Hardy is the favorite so far at 1/3, with Big Cass at 5/2 and Elias in third at 4/1.

All these odds will most likely change when it gets closer to the event so please make sure you bet responsibly.

Austin Aries gets new opponents for Redemption main event

With Alberto El Patron gone from Impact Wrestling, it was time to get plan B for the main event of the upcoming pay-per-view Redemption.

El Patron got fired from the company two weeks before his PPV main event match against Austin Aries on April 22, leaving the current champion without an opponent. But the company didn’t take long to find his replacement, or in this case, replacements.

At the House of Hardcore show in New Orleans last night, it was announced that Aries will defend the Impact Wrestling title against Fenix and Pentagon Jr. in a triple threat match. That is the same match that was done on the Impact vs Lucha Underground show on Friday night.

Things get heated between Jake Roberts and Harry Smith at WrestleCon

There was an altercation between Harry Smith, the son of the British Bulldog, and WWE Hall of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts at WrestleCon yesterday.

The whole thing came up after Smith was trying to get Jake Roberts apologize for what he said about his father at a recent podcast. Smith told WrestleZone.com that he went to Roberts’ table at WrestleCon but Roberts refused to even speak to him. Smith then challenged Roberts to settle their problem outside the venue but “The Snake” just told him to “f*ck off.”

At that point, Smith got angry and threw a cup of coffee he had in Roberts’ face.

Police were called in but Smith left the scene before they got there.

Important bag policy for WrestleMania 34

Entering the Mercedes-Benz Superdome with a bag might not be a good idea and chances are that you will be turned away unless you obey the specific rules for bag policy.

If you are purchasing WWE merchandise inside the arena, the bags they give you are allowed. Non-clear diaper bags are prohibited and so are backpacks.

If you can avoid entraining the stadium without a bag, do it.
