Bronson Reed comments on release from WWE in new video

A few days after he got his shock release from WWE, former NXT North American champion Bronson Reed addressed his fans on Twitter in a video.

The Australian said that he was very shocked and upset at getting cut because this does not just affect him, but his wife as well. Being a foreigner, a working visa is required and that visa goes if you get terminated from your employment which is why he mentioned that it affects his wife as well.

Reed said that he is very thankful for the support and love he received online and it means a lot to him.

The former champ thanked Triple H and Shawn Michaels for believing in him and also mentioned coaches Terry Taylor, Scotty 2 Hotty, Norman Smiley, and Steve Corino as he learned a lot from them throughout his stay in WWE.

“I am staying positive and I do believe, I am bar none the best super heavyweight in the world. And I will continue to prove that,” Reed continued.

Reed was one of the few NXT stars who were given dark matches prior to TV shows in anticipation of a main roster call up.

The service will take place at the New Generation Funeral Home located at 2930, Murfreesboro Pike, Antioch, Tennessee.

Chelsea Green in legal battle with WWE over a trademark of her birth name

Former WWE Superstar Chelsea Green revealed on her Twitter that she is currently in a legal battle with WWE over the trademark of the name Chelsea Green…which happens to be her birth name as well.

“I never thought I’d be in a legal battle for my BIRTH GIVEN name,” she wrote, adding a rolling eyes emoji. She added that she would be discussing this on her next episode of her podcast Green With Envy.

WWE filed for a trademark of the name on September 24, 2020 when Green was still part of the promotion. Green gave WWE consent to register her name and the application was approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Signing off on the name is a common practice, although not every chooses to give WWE permission.

Green, through attorney Michael Dockins, filed for a trademark of her name on April 15, 2021, after she was released from WWE. Considering this is her real name and she no longer works with WWE, common sense would indicate that this will be resolved in Chelsea’s favor.

More cuts expected in WWE over the next weeks and months

WWE logo

There are rumors flying around that even more cuts are on the horizon and mass layoffs will be the thing running through this year, with many expecting dozens and dozens of more WWE Superstars getting cut over the next few months.

2021 has been the “deadliest” so far when it comes to releases with WWE using “cost-cutting” as an excuse despite the company making more profit this year than ever before thanks to their lucrative television deals.

Several WWE Superstars expressed their sadness on Twitter this weekend when reacting to the releases of their fellow colleagues. Some of those released chose to thank WWE while others mentioned that they’re going to hit the ground running when their 30-day notice is up.

NXT stars are on 30-days notice rather than like those on the main roster who are on 90-days. During that month, they will still get paid regularly and then are free to work for anyone after that.

Smackdown rating for 08/06/2021

Smackdown started with 2,043,000 viewers and then increased its audience slightly to 2,050,000 viewers. It did a 0.55 in the 18-49 demo and beat everything except the Olympics. (Ratings credit: SpoilerTV.com)

Adam Cole in meeting with Vince McMahon at Smackdown

The former leader of The Undisputed Era, Adam Cole, was backstage at Friday Night Smackdown last night for a meeting with Vince McMahon according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling.

Cole’s contract will be expiring after SummerSlam and it’s believed the meeting with McMahon was to work out a potential new deal.

His contract originally expired after the NXT episode of The Great American Bash but the former NXT champ extended his deal by a couple of months. The news of his contract expiring this quickly caught many by surprise and while WWE’s new mindset is not to throw big money at anyone anymore to stay, Cole is considered one of the leaders in NXT and is well-liked by the powers that be.

AEW President Tony Khan, through a tweet by Dave Meltzer of the Observer, said that the rumors that AEW offered Cole a contract are incorrect and there has not been a move made yet from AEW to bring him over.

At this point, Cole remains under a WWE deal, at least for the next two weeks or so, although his future could end up being anywhere.

Two more matches added to SummerSlam 2021

Two more matches were made official for SummerSlam last night on Friday Night Smackdown on FOX.

Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, who main evented night one of WrestleMania 37, will be meeting again for the Smackdown Women’s title in Vegas. Banks returned last week on Smackdown after an absence of four months and saved Belair from a two-on-one attack by Zelina Vega and Carmella but later in the broadcast following a win in a tag team match, Banks quickly turned on Belair.

Seth Rollins and Edge will also go one-on-one for the first time ever at SummerSlam. The two had been building up this encounter for over a month now and Rollins was not happy that Edge got a Universal title shot against Reigns at Money In The Bank. Rollins interfered in their match during the pay-per-view, costing Edge the title.

With these two additions, the SummerSlam card has six matches so far, with more surely to be added over the next week.

New format rumored for NXT, Jericho takes dig at WWE for releases

PWInsider.com is reporting that the releases appear to be a part of a rumored change coming to NXT. Dave Scherer and Mike Johnson said that there have been talks that there will be a complete overhaul of NXT, including new logo, lighting, and a different television show that would focus on the younger talent that are truly considered developmental.

The NXT cuts, revealed during Smackdown last night, were a surprise to many, especially Bronson Reed as he had some tryouts a few weeks ago to move to the main roster. But the former NXT North American champion found himself on the unemployed list and now has 30-days to recharge and find a new job.

“This monster is back on the loose … you don’t know WHAT you’ve just done,” Reed wrote on Twitter, tagging AEW, Impact, ROH, and New Japan in his tweet.

Chris Jericho, considered to be a WWE-lifer but now works for the successful AEW promotion, took a dig at WWE in a tweet after the releases. “I think now more than ever it’s obvious, – @AEW is the best pro wrestling company in the world today,” Jericho said. “Both for fans…and especially for performers. Nothing can stop us now!”

Three former NXT champs and 10 others released from WWE

13 NXT stars were released from the company yesterday as the clean up continues at an unprecedented pace.

Among those released are former NXT North American champion Bronson Reed, former NXT Tag Team champion Bobby Fish, and former NXT North American champion Leon Ruff.

Also getting the pink slip were Ari Sterling, Asher Hale, Denzel Dejournette, Giant Zanjeer, Jake Atlas, Kona Reeves, Mercedes Martinez, Stephon Smith, Tyler Rust, and Zechariah Smith.

WWE has taken a different approach at talent and rather than trying to keep them from going to other promotions, they have been cutting everyone left, right, and center.

Melina makes Impact Wrestling debut

Former WWE Superstar Melina made her Impact Wrestling debut during last night’s episode of Impact on AXS TV.

Melina was introduced by Mickie James, who revealed that the former WWE Divas and Women’s champion will challenge Knockouts champion Deonna Purrazzo at the upcoming NWA Empower pay-per-view on August 28.

Melina was at one point rumored to have signed a WWE deal but that never came true. She last wrestled for WWE in 2011 and last made an appearance for the company during the Raw Legends Night in January of this year.

Pete Dunne’s WWE contract also up this month

In what could be another shock move away from WWE, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling reported on his Select service that Pete Dunne’s WWE contract is expiring after SummerSlam and could also be on his way out.

The 27-year-old, who set a record of 685 days as WWE United Kingdom champion, has been part of the NXT brand since 2017 and during the pandemic helped produce NXT UK television from London.

It’s not known if Dunne was offered a new deal or not but he joins Adam Cole in potentially looking at the exit door of the WWE Performance Center once this August pay-per-view is over and done with.

Reacting to the news, Dunne posted a GIF of himself shrugging!

Indie star Hawlee Cromwell names Darby Allin as abuser a year after #SpeakingOut tweet

Independent wrestler Hawlee Cromwell today posted on social media that AEW star Darby Allin abused her in the past.

“I’m tired I’m so f*cking tired and I don’t care anymore. Darby Allin abused me. He abused me and I’m tired of being called a liar by “fans” who have no idea the shitty person he really is,” she wrote. “Somehow no one remembers, I’ll never forget how you treated me like shit.”

In her original June 2020 post during the height of the #SpeakingOut campaign, Cromwell wrote that she would not be naming any names because she didn’t feel comfortable doing so.

But that changed today.

In the June 19, 2020 tweet, she explained that between 2016 and 2017, she had an on-again-off-again relationship with a wrestler who ruined her mental health and she’s still struggling with it.

Cromwell wrote that he would get upset, scream, and yell at her and treat her like a punching bag, although she admitted that he never laid a hand on her.

“It got to the point we’re I was so disassociated and was walking on eggshells all the time that I didn’t say much and if I didn’t reply how he wanted I would get screamed at. He would tell me if I didn’t do things he wanted me to he was going to leave me,” she continued, adding that she lived in constant fear and still does because that experience carries on to the point that she believes if she doesn’t do something someone asks her, they will leave her.

“He also would threaten to leave me if I didn’t have sex with him or do sexual things and preform sex acts with him. I took me a long time to realize that threatening someone to have sex with you isn’t consent. It’s rape. I struggle with this to this day and have so many fears around sex and around intimacy,” she added.

Smackdown Tag Team title match announced for SummerSlam 2021

The fourth match officially announced for the SummerSlam pay-per-view will feature The Usos defending their Smackdown Tag Team titles against the team of Rey and Dominik Mysterio.

This will be The Usos’ first title defense since winning the titles from the Mysterios at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view. All four have been feuding for several weeks now and wrestling each other on Smackdown.

Usos vs Mysterios joins the already announced Reigns vs Cena for the Universal title, Lashley vs Goldberg for the WWE title, and Nikki A.S.H. vs Flair vs Ripley in a triple threat match for the Raw Women’s title.

Excellent 3 tips to win online casino games

In online casinos, you play in a virtual environment with an option to participate in live bets with an online host and other players. Most sites offer classic games like poker, roulette, blackjack and slots, and emerging alternatives. To access the games, you can download free software or log in to the sites.

Online casinos have become popular as you can play at any place at your convenient time with more games. Also, they offer a higher payout ratio and more attractive bonuses than land-based casinos. However, since you cannot always win when gambling, you can use the tips below to enjoy the gambling experience.

  1. Register With Reliable Sites

When gambling online, you need to ensure that the website is reliable such as MGM99. You can read customer reviews to determine legitimate sites and choose the best company. Also, companies with a license to operate in your country guarantee your safety and fairness in the gaming rules. It ensures you can win the games and get security for your money since some casinos fail to honor rewards or deposit winnings.

Most casino sites offer various bonuses to players. For instance, when you create a new account, you get a welcome bonus to help you win from the start. You can increase your bankroll by selecting sites with the best bonuses and games with easy wagering requirements since most bonuses have loss protection and a greater chance to win.

  1. Playing Games With a Lower House Edge

You can minimize the house edge in most games like blackjack and poker to increase your winning chances. However, the companies make it more difficult to perform the task. You can count the cards to find the best game to reduce the house edge by half. To reduce your losing chances, play with your bonuses than spending money on bets when playing simple slots.

You can also focus on high return to player (RTP) games. It is the percentage of losses a casino company returns to a player after some time. For instance, table games have lower RTPs compared to slot games. Higher RTP increases your winning chances as you recover your losses over time.

  1. Choose The Right Games

In casinos, you can win on skill or luck. When you identify and learn to play, you can increase your winnings by using your strengths. For instance, when good at psychological manipulation and strategizing, avoid luck-based games like roulette and slots. Instead, play blackjack or poker to increase your winnings. If you prefer luck-based games, avoid skill games.

Also, avoid chasing losses to protect your bankroll. When you double the next bet hoping to win and regain your funds, you end up losing more. To prevent emotional stakes, you can stop playing or try other games with lower risk.

Although gambling involves some risks, you can follow some tips to increase winnings, such as choosing the right games, minimizing the house edge, and joining reliable sites. If you need to play casino games with various promotions, you can check out MGM99. It offers multiple activities to provide fun and increase your winnings.

AEW returning to Jacksonville for last Dynamite of 2021

After first saying that it would be several months before they return to Jacksonville for another television taping, AEW President Tony Khan said that the company will be returning to Daily’s Place for the Wednesday, December 29 Dynamite.

AEW went back to their “home base” last night for the Homecoming Dynamite with an event headlined by Cody Rhodes vs Malakai Black. The company held television tapings at Daily’s Place for 15 months during the coronavirus pandemic, first behind closed doors and then slowly letting bubbles of fans attending.

Yesterday’s show had over 600 children which were brought in by AEW as part of their Wounded Warrior community outreach program. That number boosted the attendance to over 3,000 fans, half of which were on paid tickets.
