Chris Jericho returns to AEW after a year out

Chris Jericho made his return to AEW last night on Dynamite, a year after his last appearance for the company.

The hometown crowd sang along to the Judas theme song and Jericho made his way to the ring. He then stopped to take in all the cheers from Winnipeg.

Jericho had a mic in his hand but his words were short and sweet.

“Winnipeg, I’m home,” Jericho said, before going back.

His return was highly speculated during the day as it was revealed that he had negotiated a way back to the company.

He was rumored to be going to WWE in the beginning of the year but news came out that his contract was extended to cover his time away from AEW.

Jericho filed a trademark for the term The Cornerstone last week, suggesting that it was his return gimmick.

Betting on wrestling and how it works

Wrestling fans aren’t just shouting at their TVs anymore. Now, you can literally put your money where your mouth is, making live predictions and sometimes walking away with real winnings. This is all through online sports betting and casino platforms. In other words, the matches you love have become way more interactive and it’s addictive.

If you think betting only belongs to football or basketball, you’re missing out. Wrestling has carved its own space in the online betting world, and the momentum’s picking up fast. Whether you’re locked in for WWE’s big spectacle, AEW’s wild acrobatics or the offbeat vibes from indie promotions, there’s a way to add a little skin in the game. Suddenly, every finishing move and wild twist feels personal.

Here’s something most folks don’t realize. The same platforms where you bet on wrestling also serve up casino classics, promos, bonuses and dozens of other ways to dive into sports and entertainment. It’s not just a place to make a quick bet; it’s somewhere fans set up camp and keep coming back.

How wrestling betting actually plays out

Now, you might be scratching your head asking how do you bet on wrestling when the outcome’s scripted? It’s a valid question. But that’s actually part of the fun. You’re not cheating or outsmarting anybody, betting sites recognize the unpredictability even in a scripted sport. They set odds for each event based on loads of factors: Current storylines, popularity, previous match results and sometimes even wild rumors from backstage. The odds can look confusing if you’re new. But here’s the simple breakdown: Risk brings reward. If the favorite seems locked in, payouts run small. If you bet on the underdog, and they stage an upset, even in a story, you’re looking at bigger winnings.

What makes wrestling betting so interesting is how much you can dive into the details. Knowing who’s building momentum, which wrestler looks primed for a push or whether an injury is being played up in the narrative, these are all things that savvy fans use. And getting those predictions right feels like a genuine victory.

Betting platforms aren’t just bets anymore

Online betting sites have seriously upped their game. You’re not staring at dry statistics or endless columns of odds. Instead, most places create an experience. Slide from wrestling bets to casino slots, jump between sports, search up specific wrestlers and see who’s racking up wins, all in one spot.

Platforms spotlight recent jackpot winners. It builds this buzz: You can see real people, not just faceless usernames, winning and sharing their excitement. Want to learn a new game or pick up tips? The resources are right there, from basic betting guides to deep-dive strategies and even FAQs about responsible gaming so you don’t get overwhelmed.

What can you actually bet on?

Look, it’s not just about picking a winner and crossing your fingers. Wrestling betting has a surprising amount of variety:

Match winner: The most straightforward option. Who stands tall at the end? Perfect if you’re just starting out.

Over/under rounds: Will the match blaze by or drag on? Betting on match length adds a whole new dimension for fans who obsess over pacing.

Prop bets: Here’s where things get creative: Guessing if someone will hit a signature move, if there’ll be a count-out or disqualification, if a rivalry pops up, etc. It’s like predicting moments, not just outcomes.

Futures: This is a long game. Who’s got the next championship run? Who might explode as the surprise star over the season? These bets test your patience, but the payout is sweet if your instincts are right.

The mix means you can play it cautious or go wild with complex bets. Some folks love strategizing and mapping out every possibility, while others just toss a few dollars on their favorite wrestler.

Why wrestling fans love betting

Wrestling is all about drama, and throwing bets into the mix turns the excitement from 10 to 11. Suddenly, a shocking promo isn’t just setting up the next big feud, it’s potentially lining your pocket. Every match gets a little more edge, every twist a bit more meaning, especially if it affects your wager.

The sheer convenience has helped betting take off. You don’t need to run to your local sportsbook or wait for pay-per-view events. Everything’s online, mobile and lightning fast. Drop a quick bet, spin the slots, browse other sports and chase bonuses all between matches. For people who follow more than just wrestling, having everything in one platform is tough to beat.

Tips if you’re starting out

Jumping into wrestling betting? Here are a few practical tips:

Watch the storylines: Wrestling’s all about narratives. If you know who’s getting a push or who’s falling out of favor, you’re already ahead.

Start small: Don’t go all in right out the gate. Make a couple low-risk bets, get familiar with how odds move and learn the ropes.

Claim bonuses: Most sites offer extra credit or free bets. Grab these and you’ll get more chances without using your own cash.

Try casino games: Between big events, slots, roulette or blackjack add more variety. Keeps things fresh.

Set limits: This is supposed to be fun. Don’t let it get stressful, a little discipline makes the experience better.

The goal is to enjoy yourself, not obsess over winnings. Betting can be simple or complex, but at its best, it just makes you feel more plugged into what’s happening.

Two title matches confirmed plus one still undecided for NXT Stand & Deliver 2026

NXT Stand & Deliver 2026

Two title matches were confirmed for NXT Stand & Deliver this weekend and one more title match remained up in the air after a double finish.

The NXT Tag Team titles will be defended as Vanity Project will now take on Los Americanos. Bravo and Rayo, who replaced the injured Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight in the tournament, picked up a victory over Shawn Spears and Niko Vance to advance thanks to some tiny assistance from El Grande Americano.

Who challenges Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s title remains a mystery after a number one contender’s match between Lola Vice and Kendal Grey ended with a simultaneous pinfall and tap out. Vice had Grey locked in a guillotine choke and Grey countered it with a Northern Lights suplex while still locked in the choke. The referee counted a pinfall victory for Grey but Grey also tapped out during the three count, seen by another referee at ringside.

The NXT Women’s North American title will be up for grabs as well with champ Tatum Paxley defending against former champion Blake Monroe. Monroe still has possession of the stolen title even after last night’s face-to-face segment but will have a chance to officially regain it this Saturday night.

The end: WWE Network goes offline as last remaining countries lose access

WWE Network

The WWE Network is officially dead and buried, now worldwide.

While the original WWE Network went dark in the majority of the world at the end of 2024 just as WWE officially moved to Netflix outside the United States, the service was kept in operation for a few countries who still did not receive Netflix in their location due to local TV media rights.

Austria, Germany, Italy, South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Switzerland were the last countries who still had access to the service until yesterday. All apart from South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa will now be getting the library and the premium live events on Netflix effective immediately. Other WWE weekly TV broadcasts in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland will remain on their current local TV deals.

South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa are stuck with their local television deals and will not get anything on Netflix for now.

The Network launched in the United States in February 24, 2014, offering a staggering amount of content from the whole WWE video library including pay-per-views for just $9.99 a month.

The worldwide rollout of the Network started in July of that year and took almost two years to finally reach almost every corner of the world. In fact, the Network operated in 186 countries, with the biggest omissions being China and Russia, where the service was deactivated in 2022 after the invasion of Ukraine.
