WWE Fastlane 2023 Pick’em report

Hey everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA here with the pick’em report for tonight’s Premium Live Event, WWE Fastlane 2023!! This evening, I will be defending the WOPC Championship against the one and only Colin Vassallo. We’ve got bonus questions, so there’s sure to be a clear cut winner tonight! But…in case it ends in a tie, the champion keeps the strap on a draw.

So with that in mind, ON WITH THE PICKS!!

Latino World Order (Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, and either Joaquin Wilde/Cruz Del Toro) (with Zelina Vega) vs. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

Magnum: Ever since there was discussion about a mystery partner, I’ve been thinking about picking the LWO. That said, Lashley and the Profits can’t lose their first outing as a unit. I’ll take Lashley and the Profits.

Colin: I mean, LWO stands zero chance here. Can I give it less than a zero %? It would be great if Jade Cargill debuts here and aligns herself with Lashley and The Profits. Have her come out for Zelina Vega and make that her first feud. Anyway, Bobby, Angelo, and Montez for the win here.

Bonus #1: Who gets the winning fall in this tag match?

Magnum: Lashley

Colin: Ford

WWE Women’s Championship – Triple Threat Match
Iyo Sky (c) vs. Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair

Magnum: This is the Charlotte formula – stick nose into feud, get a title shot, and then take the title. I do believe the title will come back to Charlotte, somehow, but not tonight. I’ll take Iyo to retain.

Colin: I just hope to God they don’t give Charlotte the title just now. I love IYO SKY, she’s tremendous and deserves a good run with the title. With The Pirate Princess coming in soon, that would be a great program. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for an IYO win.

John Cena and LA Knight vs. The Bloodline (Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa) (with Paul Heyman)

Magnum: Since he is sticking around for a little longer, it only makes sense for Cena and Knight to pick up a huge win. LA Knight getting the endorsement from Cena would be huge.

Colin: Looking forward to this match, actually. It’s LA Knight’s time to shine and Uso and Sikoa can take the loss here and stay strong. Cena will do his usual stuff and I expect Knight to work most of the match, which isn’t a bad thing. Cena and Knight win.

Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) (c) vs. Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso

Magnum: This could be the match that solidifies the alliance between the Judgment Day and the Bloodline. While Solo and Jimmy are not favored to win their match, I would not be surprised to see them reappear in this match and cost Cody and Jey the titles. Judgment Day retains.

Colin: Judgment Day are on a roll and I can’t see them losing the Tag Team titles now, even against the opposition of Cody and Jey. It will be interesting how this ends, but I don’t see it ending in a fair way, typical of JD. I’m more interested in who gets the pinfall loss here, unless they go the DQ route. Either way, Judgment Day wins.

Bonus #2: Who gets the winning fall in this tag match?

Magnum: Priest

Colin: Balor

Last Man Standing match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Magnum: So I’m actually going to take this a step further – I do believe there will be a cash-in at the end of this match. I don’t believe it will be in the middle of the match, but I think it will take place afterwards. I’ll take Rollins to win the match…but don’t be surprised to see Damian Priest take the Fast Lane to the World Heavyweight Championship by the end of the night. See what I did there? I…never mind.

Colin: The last match was a bit underwhelming so hopefully this one goes better. I really want Shinsuke to win the title, I really, really want it. But considering how it ended on Raw, Rollins will probably win this and moves on to someone new.

Alright fans! That’s going to do it for us – enjoy the show tonight and we’ll see you next time for the Pick’em report. @TheMagnumDA signing off.
