Wrestlepalooza 2025 pick’em report

Hello everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with another installment of the Pick’em report! This time, for the first time ever, we’ll be LIVE on ESPN (Netflix internationally) with WWE Wrestlepalooza! As of right now, there’s five announced matches (Women’s title match was held off until next week’s Smackdown), but Colin and I will play it straight with a traditional pick’em. Colin won the WOPC title at our last Pick’em, so this time I am back for revenge! What are we waiting for?

ON WITH THE PICKS!

John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

Magnum: Wow, this OPENS the show. I am here for it. The first match ever on ESPN will feature these two, and it will likely be as gruesome and as violent of a match that Extreme Rules 2012 was. I was there for that match, and it was unlike anything I’ve ever seen…and I have seen it all! Anyways, I don’t know if Lesnar will be back after this (he really should go away until the lawsuit is over), so keeping that in mind, I’ll take Cena to win in a bloodbath.

Colin: Is it going to be a quick one or is it going to be a proper match? You never know with Lesnar. I can’t see him losing to be honest, Cena is on the way out, he doesn’t NEED to win here. Bringing back Lesnar after two years out and then job him tonight doesn’t make much sense to me. I say Brock wins.

Women’s World Championship (title vacated)
Iyo Sky vs. Stephanie Vaquer

Magnum: I’ve been looking forward to Stephanie Vaquer getting this title shot. The news about Naomi caused Stephanie’s push to suddenly end. From there, she was supposed to be in a contract signing that didn’t pan out on TV, and we’ve seen her in scattered, random appearances. It was only recently that she crossed paths with Iyo, who has a very deep, simmering thing happening with the Kabuki Warriors. Ultimately, you have a path to go if Iyo wins the championship, especially if Asuka causes her to win the title. I wish things were better for Vaquer, but time and happenstance seemed to pass her by. Iyo Sky wins.

Colin: This is probably going to be the match of the night. Actually, not probably, but it will be the match of the night. Both are amazing at what they do and you can hardly have a bad match against either of them. I am thinking that Asuka is going to one way or another cause Sky the match and Vaquer is going to be crowned the new champion.

The Usos (Jimmy & Jey) vs. The Vision (Bronson Reed & Bron Brekker)

Magnum: I’m really glad The Usos are back – they fit well together, and they work well together. That’s probably the understatement of the year, considering they are twins. Anyway, Big Jim and the Yeet man are going to run into problems, specifically LA Knight. This gives the edge to The Vision – I’ll take Bronson and Bron to win.

Colin: I’m down for this match and it should be a good one. The Usos are always terrific together. Expecting like a 10 minute intro here LOL! A win for The Vision will do them wonders I think, and I’m picking Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed for the win here.

Mixed Tag Team Match
CM Punk and AJ Lee vs. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

Magnum: Great to see AJ Lee back – she looks even more radiant than we last saw her in 2015. This feud has some pretty deep roots, especially with Rollins and Punk. I think there will be a next chapter for these two, probably at the next big event. So let’s give Punk and Lee some momentum and give them the win here.

Colin: Punk recently said that it feels his feud with Seth Rollins is never going to end. It certainly feels that way to me too and now with the addition of the wives, there’s more chapters in this story. This will be AJ’s first match in 10 years and I’m sure there will be some ring rust. Who wins? Good question, I’m kinda in the middle on this one as I feel it’s only getting started (kinda) and the heels will cheat to win. Seth and Becky for the W.

Undisputed WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre

Magnum: Drew is doing some of his best work right now. The kick through the table, the promo during the contact signing…he’s firing on all cylinders. For Cody, it actually would make sense to lose the title here and start the chase against Drew. That said, I think they have other things in mind for Cody. While a continuation of this storyline is possible, I’ll take Cody to retain tonight.

Colin: This was a quick build and it should have been longer. Unfortunately, with Cody’s filming commitments, the FFWD button was pressed and here we are. I am not expecting Cody to lose the title here by any means. He just won it last month and then disappeared from television, and I’m 100% sure there’s more in store with him and the title. Cody wins.

That’s going to do it for the Pick’em Crew! We will see you next time RIGHT HERE at WO for the Pick’em report. @TheMagnumDA signing off.
