WrestleMania 37 Pick’em report for Night Two

Hello everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA here with you for NIGHT TWO of the WrestleMania XXXVII Pick’em report!! Last night was a hell of a show – we had the first ever weather delay in Mania history, plus we had the first one-on-one main event between two of the best women’s wrestlers on the planet! It was an unbelievable show – Bad Bunny might’ve stole the whole show with his performance in that tag match with Damian Priest against Miz and Morrison. Awesome, awesome stuff.

After Night One, here are the current standings:

Colin: Six Points

Heel Turn Tom: Four Points

The Renegade: Four Points

Magnum: Three Points

Brother Bull: Two Points

Tricky Don: Two Points

KPC-123: Two Points

Now, here’s where it’s going to get very interesting…on Night One, each correct pick was worth one point. It only makes sense that on Night Two, we make each correct pick worth TWO POINTS. That’s right, DOUBLE THE POINTS for each correct pick. That means anything can happen – Colin’s lead is incredibly comfortable, but it only takes one or two missteps and it’s over! With that in mind, it’s time to tell you our predictions for WRESTLEMANIA Night Two!!!

    ON WITH THE PICKS!

WWE Intercontinental Championship – Nigerian Drum Fight
Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews

Colin: This whole Apollo transformation must lead to a title win here. If he loses this match, then all this has been for nothing in my opinion. Move Big E up the card an let Apollo have a run with the IC title. New champ.

Heel Turn Tom: I feel there will be big things for Big E this year, and either a World or Universal title run. But since that is not starting right away, I see Big E winning and remaining the Intercontinental Champion for now.

The Renegade: Regardless of the gimmick match, Big E is going to retain once again.

Magnum: The match at FastLane didn’t end well. I am optimistic that this match will have a better finish. I do like where Apollo’s character is headed…and I think he’ll get the biggest win of his life Sunday when he becomes the Intercontinental Champion. Apollo wins!

Brother Bull: I’ve also gotta roll with Big E retaining the gold.

Tricky Don: Big E will get a triumphant win, and this will elevate him to Heavyweight Champion within the year.

KPC-123: I’m going with Big E to retain!!

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (with Logan Paul)

Colin: Kevin Owens is going to jump off that pirate ship, is he? Expecting Logan Paul to turn on Sami Zayn. These two should have a great match, but I’m picking Kevin Owens to come out victorious.

Heel Turn Tom: Kevin Owens will put a damper on Sami’s documentary by stunning him for the 1-2-3.

The Renegade: I’m going with the upset – I’ll take Sami Zayn to win it.

Magnum: Ah, yes. The Pirate Ship Match. I’ve heard rumblings and rumors about KO wanting to jump off the Pirate Ship at Raymond James Stadium, and this could be the match where it happens. Technically, this isn’t a No-DQ match, but that could change at any moment. For now, I’ll take KO to win and knock some sense into Sami. Should be entertaining as hell!

Brother Bull: Sami Zayn has been soooo good with his latest incarnation, he gets the W.

Tricky Don: My prediction is Kevin Owens will win this one. I am going to go on a limb and predict this match will lead to a boxing match between Logan Paul and Kevin Owens.

KPC-123: Can I pick Logan Paul? But seriously, probably Zayn will weasel in a win somehow.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Asuka (c) vs. Rhea Ripley

Colin: Ripley has been hyped for quite a while now. Yeah, she probably wouldn’t be there if Charlotte was available, but it is what it is. Both are awesome wrestlers and this should be another great match. Ripley wins, new champion.

Heel Turn Tom: This call up and title match will seem unnecessary if Auska wins. I see Rhea winning and becoming the new Raw Women’s Champion.

The Renegade: It’s Rhea’s time to shine – she wins this match and becomes Raw Women’s Champion.

Magnum: Rhea lost her V-Card last year to Charlotte, so I wouldn’t be surprised if she comes out of nowhere to make a major splash this year. I think this could be a total squash match, where Rhea completely destroys and decimates Asuka. Give me Rhea Ripley, and don’t be surprised if she does it in under one minute – THAT’S how you put the Women’s Division on notice!

Brother Bull: Rhea Ripley did the JOB last year, gets rewarded this year with big rub win over Asuka.

Tricky Don: Rhea has been dominating! Asuka has not won a match at WrestleMania. I gotta go with Rhea.

KPC-123: I gotta go with Rhea Ripley here – it’s time for a new champion.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (c) (with Reginald) vs. Natalya and Tamina

Colin: Although my pick was originally Lana and Naomi, I still think the outcome will be the same – Natalya and Tamina become the new champs. Probably the correct team won yesterday and it is about time Nattie gets some gold. Tamina has never had a title either, so this is the perfect time to pull the trigger.

Heel Turn Tom: While I may be wrong on night one, I am staying with the winning team from last night claiming the Women’s Tag Team Championship tonight. Natalya and Tamina win it.

The Renegade: I have to take Jax and Baszler to retain – they’re too tough on top.

Magnum: Well, well, well…my pick last night went bust, didn’t it? I still like the idea of Baszler and Jax breaking up after this, with Reginald being the reason why. I think Natalya and Tamina will shock the world and win the gold.

Brother Bull: Originally, I thought the champions would retain, but now that this is Natalya and Tamina challenging Nia and Shayna…I’ve gotta go with the challengers to win the titles.

Tricky Don: I’ve gotta take the champs to retain here. Jax and Baszler win it.

KPC-123: No matter who won the TTT, I had a feeling that Jax and Baszler would retain anyways.

WWE United States Championship
Riddle (c) vs. Sheamus

Colin: Bro. Riddle might forget his lines but he certainly won’t forget his moves. Probably a hard-hitting bout but keeping my money on Riddle to retain.

Heel Turn Tom: Fans seem to be behind Riddle and I see WWE keeping the US Championship on Riddle at the end of the night.

The Renegade: Bro. I’m going with Riddle, bro.

Magnum: I was beyond ecstatic when I heard these two were locking up at Mania. Their Survivor Series qualifying match (from last October on Raw) was beyond phenomenal. I could see them tearing it up one more time, with the result remaining the same as it was in October: Sheamus wins.

Brother Bull: Man, everyone seems to really be into Riddle…but I can’t go against Sheamus here. Sheamus wins!

Tricky Don: One word: Bro! Riddle wins.

KPC-123: I’m going with the Original Bro – Riddle wins and retains.

The Fiend (with Alexa Bliss) vs. Randy Orton

Colin: The last time these two wrestled at WrestleMania they shit the bed. It was one of the most underwhelming WWE title matches I’ve ever witnessed live. I am surprised there are no gimmicks for this match. A cinematic match would have been good for this one while giving everyone inside the stadium a breather. The Fiend wins.

Heel Turn Tom: I don’t know where this story line will go or what you do with the Toxic Avenger…er, I mean The Fiend after WrestleMania. But if you can’t kill The Fiend by setting him on fire, he has to win this match tonight against Orton.

The Renegade: He might be burnt to a crisp, but I’m taking The Fiend to win it.

Magnum: Dear God, make it stop with these two. I’ll take The Fiend (medium rare), FINALLY killing off this wretched storyline. Hopefully.

Brother Bull: Randy Orton finds a way to defeat the mind games of Wyatt.

Tricky Don: The Fiend is due to get his win back from WrestleMania 33. My only request: Please do not add all of the graphics on the wrestling mat again.

KPC-123: I’m going to take The Fiend over Randy Orton!

WWE Universal Championship – Triple Threat Match
Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan

Colin: Tricky, tricky, tricky. I’m always of the idea that you should not end WrestleMania on a downer and always send the fans home happy. Using that, Daniel Bryan should win. But there’s a case for everyone to win this match. Edge would complete his return, but how often is he going to wrestle if he wins the title? And Roman, well, he’s been fantastic since he returned. I’m going to pick Daniel Bryan and have 25,000 fans chanting YES! YES! YES! to end the show.

Heel Turn Tom: Everyone has a story to be told here with the win, but the best story and finish to Night Two will be when Edge wins the match by pinning Bryan and becoming the Universal Champion.

The Renegade: I’m going with the guy added at the last minute – Daniel Bryan wins the Universal Championship.

Magnum: Man, oh man. This is, without question, the most difficult pick of the night. The ironic thing is that WWE turned Edge heel right before this show, but I think the fans are going to go crazy for him when they see him. I think Daniel Bryan was put into the match because WWE booked themselves in a corner. They couldn’t figure out how to keep Reigns strong (while losing the title), so they brought Bryan into the match to take the fall. Whatever happens, I know that Edge has never won a World Championship at a WrestleMania (he only has one victory in a Mania title match – a successful defense against Alberto Del Rio ten years ago)…so I think that changes tonight. Edge is your NEW WWE Universal Champion.

Brother Bull: Again, I’m going to swim against the current. Everyone is picking Edge or Daniel Bryan…but I’m going to pick Roman Reigns to retain his Universal Championship.

Tricky Don: Should be a great match with a lot of spears! It would be great to see Daniel Bryan pull off a spear! Roman has had a great year, and we finally received our wish with a heel Roman Reigns. Roman keeps his heat and retains on Sunday.

KPC-123: I’m going with my husband Edge! (Editor’s Note: He’s taken!!)

There you have it, folks! That’s going to do it for the W-O Pick’em Crew. Enjoy Night Two of WrestleMania and thank you for joining us! We’ll see you next time for the PPV Pick’em report. @TheMagnumDA signing off.
