SummerSlam 2025 Sunday pick’em report

Hello everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with NIGHT TWO of the Summerslam 2025 Pick’em report. As mentioned last evening, the winner of this two-night aggregate scoring extravaganza will walk out with the prestigious WOPC Championship – will it be me? Or Colin? Let’s find out.

ON WITH THE PICKS FOR NIGHT TWO!!

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles

Colin: I can’t see Dirty Dom losing here. Just like Becky Lynch, AJ Styles doesn’t need the title, especially this one. Dom is growing and growing and will be a big star down the road and a victory over AJ Styles will be good for him. Move AJ to the main event picture and let Dom run with the title!

Magnum: I’ve gotta admit, AJ has been pretty hilarious in the lead-up to this match. All of the costumes and gimmicks that he’s been doing (as a janitor, ring crew member, etc.) to stay in Dirty Dom’s purview have been extremely entertaining. Tonight will finally be the payoff for these two, and I am expecting a total banger of a match. I’ve heard the rumblings about Dom and AAA, so it’d make sense to take the title off of him…but not yet. I feel like Roxanne might get involved here – look for Dom to retain the title.

WWE Tag Team Championship – Tables, Ladders, and Chairs
The Wyatt Sicks (Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy) (c) vs. Andrade and Rey Fénix vs. #DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) vs. Axiom and Nathan Frazer vs. Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford)

Colin: With all the participants involved, I’m expecting some holy shit moments here. This match might steal the night. If there’s one way to take the title off Wyatt Sicks without them getting pinned, this is the match. It’s gonna be crazy. It’s gonna be a spectacular car crash, but I think Lumis and Gacy will find a way to retain the titles.

Magnum: It’s great to see these teams on the Summerslam card – it was a shame that they missed out on WrestleMania. That said, this should be one of the wildest TLC matches we’ll ever see, just based on the sheer number of participants in the match. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Andrade and Rey Fenix steal the whole show, and in the process, climb the ladder and win the WWE Tag Team Championship.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Last Chance Match – No DQ, No Count-Out
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria

Colin: This whole program was done to put over Lyra. Let’s face it, Becky does not need the title, especially the Intercontinental title. This should be the end of this feud and the only way forward is for Valkyria to win the title.

Magnum: I was waiting for them to include Bayley in this match as a referee…but it looks like that won’t happen. This should be a crazy final chapter of a feud that began the night after Mania 41. Expect weapons, chicanery, and maybe even Bayley…ultimately, I’ll take Lyra to win this “Last Chance” match.

WWE United States Championship – Steel Cage Match
Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu

Colin: I’d like to think that Fatu lost the title last time around so he can get the big payback at a major premium live event. This would be a great place to do it in front of 50,000+ fans. I don’t think the steel cage will help keep people out, but somehow, someway, I think Fatu is going to pull this one off. #ANDNEW!

Magnum: Another one that is very tough to call – I have to believe that for Jacob to lose, they’d do it in a way where he wouldn’t be pinned. I feel like a rocket is eventually going to be strapped to this dude, and it’s only a matter of time before he’s in the Main Event picture. As for tonight? This is probably going to be the biggest win of Solo’s career – I’ll take Solo to retain.

WWE Women’s World Championship – Triple Threat
Naomi (c) vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Iyo Sky

Colin: These three should be cooking tonight. Cooking as in not in the kitchen, but in the ring. All three are fantastic workers and you can hardly go wrong with any of them in a match. I don’t see Naomi losing it just after winning the title a few weeks ago, it would make no sense. So I’m picking Naomi to retain tonight.

Magnum: What an ending last month at Evolution! I also like the surprise of Naomi cashing in on these guys (instead of the predictable Jade title win). Naomi’s going to be in much higher standing if she can pull off the win here – in fact, I’ll go with Naomi and I’ll warn the other ladies in this match to proceed…with…caution.

WWE Undisputed Championship – Street Fight
John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes

Colin: Something seemed off with how Smackdown went down and Cena turning face just like that. I smell a swerve somewhere, I don’t know where it’s coming from and who it’s coming from, but there has to be more to it than just that. Cody’s off filming a movie this month and Cena is pretty much advertised for more appearances this month. I say Cena retains the title tonight and there might be a surprise.

Magnum: At this point, ANYTHING will be an improvement over what happened at Mania 41. Thankfully, we won’t have to worry about Travis Scott this time! Expect a much better match this time around, and while I cannot say it for certain, there’s a part of me that wonders if this will be the last match of the evening. Trust me, I’m not saying Seth’s injury is a work…but there have been seeds planted here. Anything could happen. Since we’re not predicting a cash-in…I’ll predict that at least ONE World Championship will change hands on Night Two, and regardless of what may or may not happen afterwards, I’ll take Cody to get his revenge on Cena and win the WWE Title.

Okay, that’s going to do it for us! Thank you so much for checking us out here on Wrestling-Online! We’ll see you at the Clash in Paris later this month! @TheMagnumDA signing off.
