Money In The Bank 2024 pick’em report

Hey everybody!! It’s @TheMagnumDA with another installment of the Pick’em report. Tonight, it’s all about the money!! Money in the Bank will be LIVE from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. At last month’s Pick’em, I won the WOPC Championship back from Colin after he had an amazing 7 month reign. Tonight, the title is on the line once more in a Confidence Pool Pick’em – 5 points for the highest confidence pick, and 1 for the lowest. Who will walk out with the title? Let’s find out.

ON WITH THE PICKS!!

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Sami Zayn (c) vs. Bron Breakker

Magnum: Sami has had a fantastic run as IC Champion – He was able to do the unthinkable and defeat Gunther for the title at Wrestlemania. That said, Bron is a stud, and there’s some people in high places who are ready to launch him into the stratosphere. Give me the next generation of the Steiner clan to win the championship. Bron Brekker wins. #AndNew (4)

Colin: Unless they’re going for a DQ or count-out finish, I can’t see Breakker losing this match, and he won’t lose clean that’s for sure. Should they pull the trigger and give him the title now? I would. With Johnny Knoxville there, maybe he interferes? Who knows. I’m thinking a Breakker win and new champion tonight! (4)

Six-Man Tag Team Match
Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens vs. The Bloodline (Any three of Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu)

Magnum: KO’s promo last night…man, if that didn’t get you fired up, check your pulse. Wishing his family all the best. As for tonight, the hype seems to be leaning toward Solo vs. Cody for the Universal Championship. To get there, Solo needs the win of his career. Give me The Bloodline to win this war, with Solo getting the victory for his squad. (5)

Colin: The faces don’t really need a win here and building up this new Bloodline should be the focus of this match. Jacob Fatu adds a whole new dimension to this team and I hope he will be in the match tomorrow. Bloodline wins for me. The question is, who eats the pin? Probably not Cody, and probably not Randy either. (5)

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Jey Uso vs. Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade vs. Chad Gable vs. LA Knight vs. Drew McIntyre

Magnum: The first names that come to my mind are Jey and Drew. I keep thinking that Drew’s not going to be champion at Summerslam if Punk is ready to go by then. Question is…will Punk be ready? Personally, I don’t think he will. So to keep Drew in the mix, it only makes sense for him to win this match and stay in the World Title mix. Give me Drew McIntyre to win the briefcase!! (1)

Colin: Torn between Jey Uso and Drew McIntyre in this one. Drew said he’ll cash in on the night if he wins. Is CM Punk there? CM Punk screwing McIntyre yet another time would be hilarious. Uso, on the other hand, is super over with the crowd and I believe he would make a better MITB briefcase holder. Yeah, Jey for the win. (1)

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Iyo Sky vs. Chelsea Green vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Naomi vs. Zoey Stark

Magnum: Tonight, the stunner of all stunners is going down. Chelsea Green is finally going to get her breakthrough moment in her home country of Canada. I had a feeling when she won her qualifying match that something special was planned for her. Tiffy and Naomi are also solid picks, but tonight, it’s all about the Green!! (3)

Colin: Another one where I’m undecided if it will be Tiffany Stratton or Naomi. I feel Naomi, with her return and everything, was promised something. Stratton is going to be a huge, huge star for years to come and maybe it is a little bit early. Naomi winning and potentially cashing on Bayley would make a good story. Glow in the bank! (3)

Last Chance Match – World Heavyweight Championship
Damian Priest (c) vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins

If Priest wins, Rollins will never challenge for the title for as long as Priest is champion. If Rollins wins, Priest must leave The Judgment Day.

Magnum: This is a challenging pick – the match itself will be tremendous, and being in the ring with Seth will immediately improve the in-ring quality of this match. Seth will present a stiff challenge, but in the end there will be shenanigans and Damian Priest will stay with Judgment Day and remain the World Heavyweight Champion. (2)

Colin: To be quite honest, I don’t see Priest good enough to walk in SummerSlam still the champion. But then again, I don’t think Rollins is going to win the title back this early since he returned. Rollins doesn’t need the title, but Priest does. Priest vs Gunther won’t be anything special, but it could if it gives us a new champion. Damian Priest retains. (2)
