At New Year’s Dash, one minor angle took place, which established the allegiance of Chase Owens and Yujiro Takahashi.  Up to now, they have been allied with The Elite, but on this show they helped Guerillas of Destiny and Bad Luck Fale retain the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Championship.

Yujiro and Chase were the last two members of Bullet Club left in New Japan with face status and alliance with Elite. This wraps up the Omega stage of the stable, as the new team is strictly heel.
