UFC’s Paige VanZant eyes WWE run

While speaking on the MMA Report podcast to promote tonight’s UFC Fight Night, UFC fighter Paige VanZant acknowledged that WWE did speak with her management regarding a possible appearance, rumored to have been in conjunction with SummerSlam. The negotiations however did not go far though as VanZant was ready to get back in the Octagon following the conclusion of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, where she came in second.

VanZant said that she’s a big fan – and always have been – of WWE and it’s something she would love to eventually get into. “They’re a huge organization and a very successful organization. It’d be great. There have been lots of successful crossovers from Brock Lesnar going back and forth and now CM Punk coming over, it seems like a successful match up and it seems like I would fit really well in that area,” she said.

The 22 year old will be back in the Octagon tonight after an eight-month hiatus to face Bec Rawlings on UFC on FOX.
