UFC fighter Tyler Woodley talks about training with CM Punk

Appearing on AXS TV’s Inside MMA, UFC Welterweight fighter Tyron Woodley said that CM Punk is really a “student of the game” when he was asked about training with the former WWE champion.

Woodley said that Punk has been showing up an hour early for every training, three days a week, and then having up to 14 private lessons a week as he transitions from pro wrestler to mixed martial artist.

Calling him “awesome,” Woodley added that when Punk’s first fight is announced he’ll help him as much as he can so he can get ready.

“A lot of people are giving him a lot of crap and after hanging out with him for three weeks I told him, ‘[If] anybody has a problem with CM Punk, you have a problem with me,’” Woodley added.
