Responding to messages on social media after she announced her departure from WWE, Samantha Irvin revealed that she does not like announcing and her announcing gig was only supposed to be her way in WWE.

“I wanted to manage, maybe even become general manager one day,” Irvin commented. “But WWE saw no other future for me besides announcer. I love watching the action but I don’t love being an announcer.”

Irvin also said that thanks to her millionaire husband, she doesn’t have to do a job she doesn’t like anymore.

Fans were shocked this past Monday when Irvin announced via a post on social media that she was quitting WWE effective immediately. WWE brought back Lilian Garcia full time as Raw ring announcer to replace her.
