Roddy Piper funeral service set for August 12

The funeral services for Rowdy Roddy Piper will be held on August 12 in Portland, Oregon.

WWE happens to be in Portland for a Smackdown taping on August 11 and the funeral service most likely was delayed to allow anyone working the show to remain in Portland for an extra day to attend the service. Wednesday is typically a day off for WWE Superstars and Divas.

PWInsider.com adds that Piper will be laid to rest in Portland as well. Piper and his family lived in Hillsboro, Oregon for a long time.
