Rey Mysterio officially unveiled at AAA event

The lucha libre wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración – AAA – today unveiled Rey Mysterio as the newest member of the organization during a press conference which the company announced last week.

The former WWE champion was introduced with the artists formerly known as (original) Sin Cara and Alberto Del Rio also present in the ring. Mysterio’s move to AAA was widely expected and he even sent them a video which was played to fans at the end of the TripleMania show last year saying he was coming back home.

The news is pretty big for Lucha Libre fans and it was even carried by ESPN MX. Mysterio will be available to participate in the Rey de Reyes event which will be held at Plaza de Toros Nuevo Progreso in Guadalajara, Jalisco, on Sunday March 15.

Mysterio wrestled for AAA between 1992 and 1995.
