Raven says he has early-onset Parkinson’s disease

In an interview with Ariel Helwani, ECW legend Raven said that his early-onset Parkinson’s kicks in pretty bad when he’s anxious or gets really tired.

The former ECW champ revealed he was diagnosed with the disease in his upcoming documentary Nevermore: The Raven Effect, which comes out on November 18 on Amazon Prime.

Raven told Helwani that the disease has not affected him “too bad” yet but the tremor gets worse if he’s agitated.

“You gotta pay the piper sometime,” Raven said. “For all the drugs and alcohol and chair shots I took to the head…you gotta pay for the damage at some point.”

Raven added that the things he did and went through made him who he is today and he’s happy with that. Admitting that he has a lot of regrets from his wrestling decisions, he said that he’d rather be happy with who he is at the end of his life than not.

The 61-year-old, real name Scott Levy, wrestled for WCW, WWE, ECW, TNA, and many indie promotions throughout his long career.
