Maria Kanellis and her husband Mike Bennett, both of whom were released last week from WWE, are the latest to jump into the podcasting world with the launch of their new podcast titled Non-Essential Wrestlers.
The title of the podcast is obviously a dig at their release last week where WWE fired and furloughed over 50 WWE Superstars, producers, and office workers who were deemed non-essential during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bennett, who publicly asked for his release lately, is getting some flack online for complaining about being let go from the company with fans blasting him for wanting out and now changing his mind. “Yes I just had a baby 9 weeks ago, yes my husband was released, yes I was a debit in a ledger for WWE that no longer exists, during a recession and a pandemic, is life not fair? You are damn right! It isn’t,” his wife Maria wrote while plugging her “Milk Money” t-shirt on ProWrestlingTees.com.
Maria also said that Mike will be taking bookings for signings and wrestling during this pandemic but she will be staying at home until further notice due to their kids.
