Syko Stu, the indie wrestler with KnokX Pro who was assaulted by Raja Jackson, has been released from hospital and is now recovering at home.
A post on his social media from his wife, Contessa Patterson, said that Stu, real name Stuart Smith, suffered trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which resulted in the loss of several teeth.
“He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through,” she wrote. “We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time. Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way-whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.”
Stu is a military vet who uses the escape of professional wrestling to deal with PTSD.
The LAPD is still investigating the case which saw Raja Jackson, the son of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson unleash a ground and pound assault of 22 shots to the head and face after Stu was already knocked out.
A GoFundMe campaign to cover medical bills and other stuff has reached over $217,000 with several wrestlers such as Chris Jericho, Nic Nemeth, Finn Balor, Jack Perry, and others all donating large sums of money. YouTuber Mr. Beast also donated the sum of $10,000.
