The New York Post is reporting that records from the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center show that Hulk Hogan died from a heart attack.
The cause of death was listed as acute myocardial infarction, the fancier definition of a heart attack, which is acute obstruction of a coronary artery.
The documents, obtained by NY Post’s Page Six, also show that the WWE Hall of Famer had a history of AFib and leukemia CLL, a type of cancer, which was previously information not released.
The medical examiner ruled his death as natural. A cremation request was done by his family.
Hulk had undergone major four-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion surgery a month ago, a surgical procedure used to relieve pressure on the spinal cord and nerve roots in the neck. He never recovered from it and was stuck to a hospital bed since then.
Hogan had a cardiac arrest on Thursday, July 24 in the morning and EMTs were unable to revive him. He was declared dead at the hospital.
