Hulk Hogan at the National Sports Collectors Convention today in Chicago

Hulk Hogan is making his first public appearance today since the racist rant scandal broke out last week, leading to his dismissal from WWE.

The Hulkster is in Chicago for the National Sports Collectors Convention being held at the Donald E Stephens Convention Center. Jimmy Hart, who is always by Hogan’s sad through good times and bad, is also making the trip and helping Hogan with the autographs.

Hogan posted a photo on his Facebook getting ready for the event with a bunch of printed WrestleMania VI photos of him and Warrior together in the ring. Ric Flair was also scheduled to appear however he canceled a week ago, with the cancellation having nothing to do with Hogan’s recent problems.

Here are two photos of Hogan backstage at the event. (Photo credit: Joel Alpert)
