Former WWE and TNA star Gail Kim reacted to an online report which painted her as begging for a job with AEW but no one reached out to her.
The post on X, by someone who a few months ago claimed that AEW is getting 500,000 viewers on Max without providing any evidence, said that “in the least breaking news,” Kim got in touch with several people about an opportunity at AEW “longer than a couple of weeks ago” but “no one reached out to her.”
The campaign against Kim came after Kim criticized AEW star Riho and her presentation on television, bashing AEW for having her dressed like a little girl with mini skirts and having cameras shoot from underneath.
“I was saving it for interviews but oh well it’s now,” Kim wrote on X in response, saying that since people like to lie, she was going to set the record straight.
“I got one text from AEW when I was terminated from TNA. It was from Sonjay [Dutt] and inquiring more about whether I wanted to wrestle. I’m retired. End of story.”
Kim was released from TNA in March along with three other executives after a long career. She has since been backstage sometimes at NXT in an unofficial role.
