Dory Funk Jr. passes away at age 85

Dory Funk Jr, a wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer, passed away yesterday at the age of 85.

The news was announced by Brian Blair of the Cauliflower Alley Club in a post on his social media and later confirmed by the Ocala Gazette, where Dory’s wife Marti revealed he passed away under hospice care.

He made his wrestling debut in 1963 and wrestled for several promotions throughout his illustrious career, including the NWA, AJPW, WWF, WWC, and ECW among many others.

He is a former NWA Heavyweight champion and held titles pretty much in every promotion he worked for.

Condolences go out to his wife Marti and all his family and friends.
