Dana White confirms Brock Lesnar is getting a UFC Heavyweight title shot

UFC President Dana White confirmed that Brock Lesnar will meet Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight title in his first fight back in the UFC.

“Are you going to give it to him,” Megan Olivi asked White point-blank after the show was over in a backstage interview. “Yes. Brock Lesnar will get this fight,” responded White. White also confirmed that Lesnar is back in the USADA drug testing pool as of last week. While he has a six-month suspension to go through, rumors are that Lesnar and Cormier will fight at the November 3 pay-per-view in Madison Square Garden rather than the end-of-year mega PPV in Las Vegas.

“He’s so fired up. He showed up tonight just out of his mind, hm, yeah, he’s ready,” White said. “He’s excited, he’s fired up, and happy to be back.”

The WWE Universal champion entered the arena just before the main event and was picked up on camera. Dana White met with Lesnar and escorted him to his seat cage side.

There were rumors that Lesnar would be at UFC 226 after Paul Heyman said that Lesnar will now concentrate on his “ultimate” opportunities.
