Conrad Thompson claims Shane McMahon reached out to AEW stars to discuss idea coming in

On the latest episode of Grilling JR podcast, co-host Conrad Thompson claimed that Shane McMahon has made contact with certain individuals in AEW to explore the idea of coming in as a talent.

Thompson, who’s pretty well-connected in the business, said on the show, “There was a friend of ours. He went out of his way to text me, ‘Hey, that’s not as crazy as you think. I know for sure that Shane McMahon has reached out to wrestlers on the AEW roster to at least hypothetically discuss the idea.'”

The topic came up after the two were talking about the possibility of Shane McMahon returning and showing up behind enemy lines when JR said that Shane called to check up on him.

“It’s so crazy to think it might work depending on how it was positioned or introduced,” Ross said. “Shane called me the other day. He’s called two or three times, which I appreciate. He’s always been sensitive in that respect.”

JR said that this is a question that only Shane can answer and wondered how Shane and Khan being together would work creatively.

“Heck, who knows, it might be great,” he added.

Shane was last seen on WWE television at WrestleMania 39 when he blew his leg when hitting a leap frog against The Miz.
