Bushwhacker Butch passes away at age 78

Butch of the Bushwhackers, real name Robert Miller, has passed away at the age of 78. A cause of death is unknown but he had just arrived in Los Angeles from New Zealand and became ill and had to be admitted to a hospital. Butch was supposed to join Luke at WrestleCon during the weekend.

The news was announced by his former tag team partner Luke who wrote, “Our dear Bob has passed away. Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch. We will always love u uncle Bob Miller. Until we meet again.”

Butch started his wrestling career in 1964 and joined his long-time tag team partner in 1974, forming the Sheepherders. In 1988, the two joined the WWF and got renamed to Bushwhackers. The two wrestled there until 1996.

Butch and Luke were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2015, giving a memorable speech.
