Wrestling icons ready for battle at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia

Back in 2018, the WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority entered into a strategic ten-year partnership, launching the Greatest Royal Rumble event held in Jeddah later that year. Since then, one of the key events on the schedule has been the Crown Jewel event, held in 2018 and 2019 at the King Abdullah International Stadium.

The third edition of the Crown Jewel event will be held on October 21 this year, taking place at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard, in Riyadh, with an exciting lineup intended to thrill local attendees and the pay-per-view audience tuning in from around the globe. Topping the bill is Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship title.

Despite controversies during initial years regarding the lack of women’s contests, Crown Jewel 2021 will feature SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch putting her title on the line, facing both Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat Match. This follows on from the first women’s match which featured at Crown Jewel 2019, between Natalya and Lacey Evans.

Also taking top billing will be WWE Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Riddle & Randy Orton) versus AJ Styles & Omos, WWE Champion Big E taking on Drew McIntyre, plus a No Holds Barred encounter between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley. All of these contests will guarantee a packed venue and plenty of interest via PPV.

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar

Nobody is more dominant in WWE than Roman Reigns, who surely lives up to his name, having held a host of titles during his time in the most popular wrestling promotion. Winning the WWE Championship on three occasions times and the WWE Universal Championship twice, this five-time champ has faced and beaten the best wrestlers around.
