Wrestling icons ready for battle at WWE Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia

Back in 2018, the WWE and the Saudi General Sports Authority entered into a strategic ten-year partnership, launching the Greatest Royal Rumble event held in Jeddah later that year. Since then, one of the key events on the schedule has been the Crown Jewel event, held in 2018 and 2019 at the King Abdullah International Stadium.

The third edition of the Crown Jewel event will be held on October 21 this year, taking place at the Mohammed Abdu Arena on the Boulevard, in Riyadh, with an exciting lineup intended to thrill local attendees and the pay-per-view audience tuning in from around the globe. Topping the bill is Roman Reigns versus Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship title.

Despite controversies during initial years regarding the lack of women’s contests, Crown Jewel 2021 will feature SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch putting her title on the line, facing both Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks in a Triple Threat Match. This follows on from the first women’s match which featured at Crown Jewel 2019, between Natalya and Lacey Evans.

Also taking top billing will be WWE Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Riddle & Randy Orton) versus AJ Styles & Omos, WWE Champion Big E taking on Drew McIntyre, plus a No Holds Barred encounter between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley. All of these contests will guarantee a packed venue and plenty of interest via PPV.

Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar

Nobody is more dominant in WWE than Roman Reigns, who surely lives up to his name, having held a host of titles during his time in the most popular wrestling promotion. Winning the WWE Championship on three occasions times and the WWE Universal Championship twice, this five-time champ has faced and beaten the best wrestlers around.

Given that Roman Reigns will be taking on Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel 2021, it makes for an epic showdown between two of the biggest names in the business. Lesnar is also a five-time WWE Champion and three-time WWE Universal Champion, and since returning to the promotion, he has been eager to dethrone Reigns as the king of wrestling.

Thanks to such an appealing lineup of matches, the WWE Crown Jewel 2021 even in Saudi Arabia is bound to attract plenty of wagering action, even if directly available options within the country itself are somewhat limited. Despite the restrictive legalities which surround gambling within the kingdom, there are actually plenty of options available online.

The Triple Threat match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship will be a blockbuster, as Becky Lynch defends her title against two foes she has faced before, when Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks aim to take her wrestling crown.

Likewise, the RK-Bro partnership of Riddle and Randy Orton promises to be explosive, when the WWE Raw Tag Team Champions are tested against AJ Styles and Omos, who previously held the title themselves. This high-profile battle will certainly be a crowd-pleaser at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, amidst the possibility that either team could land the big prize.

As the current WWE Championship title holder, Big E is keen to continue his first reign since beating Bobby Lashley, although he will face an almighty challenger at WWE Crown Jewel 2021. Stepping up to wrestle for the title is Drew McIntyre, twice holder of the WWE Championship and hungry to get the belt back into his hands.

Last and by no means least, the storied history between Goldberg and Bobby Lashley will open another chapter, when these two titans meet at WWE Crown Jewel 2021, in what promises to be an intense No Holds Barred Match. Goldberg is out for payback after clashing with Lashley at SummerSlam, making this one heck of a battle to settle some old scores.
