The game consists of:

  • A board
  • Two decks of cards
  • Chips of different colors

The board has images of cards and there are two images of each card on the board except for Jack. The players choose one color chip. Generally, the blue and green chips are used but when more than two players or teams, then the red chip is also used. There are 50 green and blue chips each and the red chips are 35, hence, it is kept aside. There are some sequence rules which have to be followed when you play the game. Let’s know the rule to ace in the game.

Sequence rules of card games

There are certain sequence rules which have to be followed when you play the sequence card game. But before the game, the board is placed on a surface and the cards and chips are put near it and the jokers from the deck are removed. Now the rules are:

  • Number of players

Only 12 players can play the sequence card game. If there are only 3 players, then they can play the game individually but if there are more than 3 players, then they should divide themselves into teams with equal members in each team.

  • Position of the players

The players have to sit facing each other. Each team or player has to sit in alternate positions around the playing surface.

  • How to start

The cards are shuffled first and divided into two stacks. All the players in the game pull a card from the deck. The player who gets the lowest card deals and then the cards are shuffled again. All the player has to choose the poker chips (players from the same team choose the same chips) and the game is started by the one who is left to the dealer and it moves left for the entire game.

  • Number of cards given to each player

The number of cards given to each player depends on the number of players and how many teams you have formed.

  1. Two players are given seven cards each.
  2. Three players are given six cards each.
  3. Four players are given six cards.
  4. Six players are given five cards each.
  5. Eight players are given four cards each.
  6. Nine players are given four cards each.
  7. Ten players are given three cards each.
  8. Twelve players are given three cards each.
  • Playing rule

The game is played by choosing from the card provided and placing a chip on the board over the image of the card. The card is then moved to the discard pile. Then you can choose a replacement card from another stack and your chance is done. Since there are two images, choose accordingly. The two-eyed Jack is used for placing it on the behalf of any other card and the one-eyed Jack is used to remove the opponent’s card but cannot be used in the sequence that has already been completed.

  • Dead card

When all the image of the card is used by and there is no place to put the chip, you can announce your card as a dead card. After that, put the card on the discard pile and take a new card.

  • Free space

The four corners of the board have free space marked by a circle. It can be used to form a sequence and you only have to place four chips in line either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

  • No talk

The team members are not allowed to talk while playing. And they must follow the pattern of card, chip, and replace the card. If you forget to replace a card, then you have to play with a smaller card. Moreover, if team members are found talking, each one has to discard a card.

  • Winning

If you complete two sequences of five chips each before the other opponent, then you are considered the winner. If you make a sequence of nine chips in a line, then also you win. Further, if no one can make a second sequence before the game ends, then the one who made the first sequence first is the winner.
