The Pro Wrestling Holland women’s title changed hands in Drachten on 12 September, when Nixi XS beat Julia and brought to an end a reign that had lasted 468 days. Heavyweight champion Lorenzo Lina, for his part, kept his belt in the main event against Japan’s Katsuya Murashima.

Poppodium IDUNA, a concert venue, hosted the show, which was billed to run from 17:30 to 20:30. By the promotion’s own account the hall was full, with more than 210 people inside, and tickets went for €23.50 in advance or €25 on the door, sold by the venue itself through Stager.

The end of a long reign

Julia comes from Groningen. She joined the PWH academy in 2019, made her debut in 2021 and became the academy’s first female graduate.

Her title win came on 1 June 2025 and she held on to it until 12 September 2026, which, going by the official show cards, adds up to at least eight successful defences, since PWH, somewhat unhelpfully, keeps no running tally of its own. It was not a record, mind you. Her predecessor TANK held the belt for longer still, from 17 November 2023 to 1 June 2025.

Who Nixi XS is

PWH bills her as hailing from St Louis. Twice this year she has turned up on AEW Collision, first in a tag match against Mina Shirakawa, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor on 28 March and then in a defeat to Skye Blue on 2 May.

According to PWH she has also worked for Ring of Honor, and in November 2025 she was picked for a qualifying match for the WWE ID women’s title. Neither ROH nor WWE has confirmed it. No AEW, ROH or WWE contract is on record.

For PWH it is a noticeable change. A belt held for more than 15 months by one of the academy’s own graduates now belongs to a wrestler with a couple of American television appearances behind her.

What the genre values

Results in wrestling are scripted in advance, so what counts in the genre is the performance, from the first lock-up to the final pin. Lorenzo Lina is in his second reign as champion. That reign began on 5 June and by 26 September had reached 113 days, with the Murashima match his third confirmed defence of the summer after he saw off KURO and MECCA on 19 June and then Johnny Evers, Jurn Simmons and Noë Ahukah on 25 July.

Katsuya Murashima came through the New Japan Pro-Wrestling dojo, made his debut in 2023 and is currently on the kind of European excursion that New Japan’s young wrestlers traditionally make.

Elsewhere on the card Nathan de Wind, Johnny Evers and Noë Ahukah won the international six-man tag against Myung-Jae Lee, Isaiah Prince and Anthony Musso. The Praetorians got the better of Daniel Akindele and Vallon Cage, and Brandon Bandz beat Korey Konstantine. Joël Vox and Feyyaz fought to a double disqualification, and The Flamingbros and Tengkwa came out on top against The Circus.

How the Dutch scene works

PWH has been going since 2006 and, by its own count, has put on more than 150 shows. Since 2025 it has claimed, in its own words, more than 3,000 spectators a year, and its 2026 calendar lists 13 PWH Live shows, of which Drachten was the tenth.

Concert venues are its circuit, from Boom Chicago in Amsterdam, OASE in Rotterdam and De Nijverheid in Utrecht to Fluor in Amersfoort, Patronaat in Haarlem and Pier15 in Breda.

Sponsors are offered space on the ring, on banners and in its broadcasts, and PWH does not name its current partners.

One of the founders of the PWH academy was Tommy End. These days he wrestles for WWE as Aleister Black, and his WWE profile, fittingly, gives Amsterdam as his hometown. Older PWH pages still list him as Malakai Black of AEW, which is out of date.

Next up was 25 September at Boom Chicago, and PWH has yet to publish results from it. Then come 24 October and 27 November.
