WarnerMedia executive Kevin Reilly who green-lit AEW on TNT removed from position

Kevin Reilly, the man who green-lit All Elite Wrestling while serving as President of TNT and TBS, has been removed from his position at WarnerMedia.

Reilly joined Bob Greenblatt, the Chairman of WarnerMedia who oversaw HBO, Cinemax, TBS, TNT, and TruTV, out of the door in a major shakeup in the organization that has sent shock waves in the industry.

How this affects All Elite Wrestling moving forward remains to be seen although it’s unlikely to change things for now as AEW is doing pretty damn good for TNT. The promotion was supposed to get a third hour on television for a second show and Cody said that internal confirmation was expected within a month.

Losing a key ally like Reilly is a big blow for AEW President Tony Khan, considering that the birth of All Elite Wrestling came during a conversation the two had a couple of years ago.
