Tony Khan says free agent to debut on Dynamite and sign AEW deal

AEW President Tony Khan is promoting another big announcement for this Wednesday’s Dynamite after his big announcement on Rampage yesterday was only to tell fans to tune in on Wednesday for the big reveal.

Khan tweeted that a free agent debut will walk through the “forbidden door,” sign the AEW contract, and “slam the door shut” on Wednesday night. The mystery person will face Isiah Kassidy in a Face of the Revolution qualifying match.

The “forbidden door” is usually referenced to those who are under contract with other promotions who appear on AEW television but it looks like Khan is now referencing free agents coming in as “forbidden door” as well.

Several former WWE Superstars who were released this past November, like Keith Lee, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, and many others, are now free to join anyone as their 90-day no-compete clause is over.
