Thunder Rosa to join AEW Spanish commentary as recovery continues

Former AEW women’s champion Thunder Rosa will be transitioning behind the mic for the time being, joining the Spanish commentary team for AEW TV shows while she recovers from injury.

“Exciting news, #AEW fans! While my recovery continues, I’ll join @AEW as a Spanish commentator & on-screen personality,” Rosa wrote on social media. “I’m thrilled to be able to serve Spanish-speaking fans in this unique way. Health is a journey with ups and downs. Meanwhile, I’ll see you from the booth!”

Rosa has been out of action since before All Out after she pulled out of her AEW Women’s title match against Toni Storm which was set for the PPV. She remained champ as an interim champion – Storm – was crowned at All Out.

After Storm lost her title to Jamie Hayter, Tony Khan stripped Rosa off her title and declared Hayter the proper champ and retroactively changed Storm’s title reign from interim to regular champion too.

There have been several speculations surrounding Rosa’s back injury, with many within the locker room suggesting she was faking it. Rosa has denied all allegations.
