AEW star The Blade underwent back fusion surgery after several months out injured.

The 44-year-old has not wrestled since February 4 at an independent event promoted by A1 in Canada and his last appearance for AEW came on an episode of Rampage which aired on January 3 of this year.

His tag team partner, The Butcher, has remained active as a solo wrestler in AEW. The third person in the team, The Bunny, has not appeared on AEW television since September 2023. She is married to The Blade.
