Steve Borden was knocked out cold during the #1 contender’s tag team match last night at All Out and finished the rest of the night in hospital.

Borden, who has been wrestling professionally only for months, performed a coast-to-coast with Kevin Knight, but the impact knocked Borden and did not move after the hard landing. Borden jumped earlier than Knight and was nearly halfway there while Knight was still preparing to jump. The two eventually collided mid-air but Borden suffered the brunt of it, with his head bouncing on the mat.

The referee quickly checked on him and signaled to the ringside medic, Dr. Sampson, to rush in, after which the referee correctly stopped the match and awarded the win to The Don Callis Family.

A replay of their collision aired and then Borden was stretchered out off camera and taken to a hospital.

In the post-show press conference, AEW President Tony Khan said that the CT scans were “good” and were hoping that Borden could fly back home soon.
