Sammy Guevara no longer under suspension by AEW

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that AEW has lifted the suspension of Sammy Guevara.

Guevara was suspended in February following his match against Jeff Hardy where he broke Hardy’s nose, knocking him out in the process and then instead of ending the match, continued to hit his finisher before the pinfall victory.

The former TNT champion suffered the brunt of the punishment despite the match not being stopped by the referee or the ringside medic although he knew he shouldn’t have gone for the finisher according to the company’s concussion protocol.

It is now just a matter of creative before he is brought back on television.

Jeff Hardy has not wrestled since either due to the injury but according to his brother Matt he has been cleared to return by doctors.
