Report: Miro asks for release from AEW

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting that Miro has asked for his release from AEW, two years into his four-year extension which started in 2022.

The Bulgarian, who moved back to his home country after he split from his wife CJ Perry, has not been seen on AEW television since the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 30, 2023.

His last match was against Andrade El Idolo that night, a match he won after Perry turned on El Idolo.

The former TNT champion has been signed with AEW since late 2020.
