Report: Jake Hager leaves AEW

Cassidy Haynes from Bodyslam.net is reporting that Jake Hager has departed AEW after his contract expired yesterday without any renewal.

Hager, who has been working for AEW since the inaugural episode of Dynamite in October 2019, has not been used much lately on television and his last match was in late February on an episode of Rampage.

The former WWE World Heavyweight champion then known as Jack Swagger was part of The Inner Circle and Jericho Appreciation Society, both factions fronted by Chris Jericho.

Several AEW stars have their contracts coming up over the next weeks and months and a lot of departures are expected.
