MJF keeps his diamond ring and takes a shot at Ryback on Dynamite

For the third year in a row, the Dynamite Diamond ring is staying put in the possession of MJF after he defeated Dante Martin yesterday to retain the prize.

The two qualified for the final match after becoming the final two competitors in the 12-man battle royal which took place last week on the show. His previous two wins came against Hangman Page in 2019 and Orange Cassidy in 2020.

MJF, who celebrated his win with fellow Pinnacle members FTR in the main event of Dynamite, was confronted by Sting and Darby Allin, who were later joined by CM Punk to even the odds. All six will now battle in a six-man tag match next week.

MJF was also in the news after he took a cheap shot at former WWE Superstar Ryback during a promo on Dynamite. Before the match started, MJF addressed CM Punk and said, “I didn’t realize that having an undefeated streak in a string of underwhelming matches against underwhelming opponents made you championship material. I thought that just made you the new Ryback!”

Ryback thanked MJF for the shoutout in a post on Twitter. “Now you have your big chance at being an enhancement talent working with an underwhelming opponent,” Ryback fired back, attaching a photo of a beat-up CM Punk in the UFC.
